  1. Greetings all. I have a odd story to share and maybe a lesson to impart. For a long while now Ive been RPing a character who is technically immortal. His name is Bentley Berkeley so perhaps some of you may know him.

Now like no few of us I wanted to give personality to his words, typed though they are. I didnt go with the accent route as is most typical these days, nor the little bubble popping up while I write out something.

I did something abit off the map. I went and dug out my national geos complete collection CD set and began reading the oldest issues dating back to the 1880s. This was done in an effort to by reading the original words of men, scholars and explorers who helped to shape our modern understanding of other places and the history around them.

What I found was that thier spelling was unsual to say the least. Often even within the same paragraph they would spell words very differently.

A easy example would be in one case where school was spelled skool, and schule by the same writer within about 10 words of each other.

It reminded me alot of as a child when learning to read and write and taught to sound out my words.

I started thinking this would be an interesting way to convey my characters actual age and put a spin on a characters accent so to speak.

Ive done it for a while now with mixxed results. Some seem to catch onto what I am doing and come to enjoy it, as do those who abit confused ask and once explained also usually get into it.

Some however seem compelled to see it as being extremely illiterate. Im no english professor mind you but i can if I feel compelled whip out the words. What saddens me is that so many who claim to be RP also seem to be leaning towards the Grammar 5th column( you know what I mean) riech.

I myself have never understood why some RPers hate on text shorthand. alot didnt learn to ever type properly, especially those whos only contact with a comp is for gaming( yeah insane I know but I do meet folks like that often) Text short hand is thier thing. It works well and doesnt require the reader to be a genius and those who act stupid when someone accidently pops out hte instead of the etc seem far thicker in the skull then someone who chooses to use U instead of type you.

I have seen alot putting Literate RP only in thier bios of late and that is about the silliest waste of bio space ive ever seen.

So next time you see a guy type out some seemingly odd lettering choices for a word dont just assume its poor or lazy spelling it could be anything from RP to simply thats just what they know as a reason and none of those is a reason to harrass another player.
  2. As someone who likes the idea of a true server wide RP community I am one who preaches what I call Lore Based RP. There is so much history for COX-Verse now that its silly to waste it in a vain attempt to claim being original or an out of the box thinker. No ones ever that anymore no matter what they want to think.

I dont believe in people RPing Powers they dont have or cant at least be represented using some power you do have. For example Ill use a personal force field on my blaster to represent a field of silence or a protected area shielded from various forms of supernatural surveilence. World of Confusion also makes for a good field effect to RP things like that I find.

On my character bentley berkeley I slotted ageless to stick to his being an immortal. I also really only claim some form of true mental immunity when RPing on a blaster as of all the ATs its thier defiance attacks that work through being mezzed that really to me rep a being able to maintain some control against even the strongest mind controllers.

Seeing though invis to me can only be done by those running with at least 2 perception increasing powers and the perception boosting IO. If you cant be bothered to build in those I cant be seen by you on my stalker unless he wants it end of story.

I do very much believe your character behavior and your ability in game with that build should be connected. I wont even right in my bio Im something bad *** until I feel worthy of it. Some builds that happens fairly early and some I just leave the bio blank till I hit 50 and only then really start RPing with the toon.

Dealing with those who put in things like " I am immune to mind reading, or am a being older then existance" are good ways to tell me your not really after wanting to RP just tell people your the bestest. A well written bio is what draws my interest first. Then Ill drop a few bits of lore inn my conversation to see if they embrace them or freak out and say I am trying to put them in some unfair box that limits them.

COX has defined thier concepts of gods, demons, ghost, spirits, even feykin. I know alot may like myself come from D&D background and often want to use more of that, I myself did in the first year or so. But I to be honest call that my immature RP phase that I outgrew once I grew into the game.

To those on virtue who know my Mains emetrios Vasilikos, Bentley Berkeley, and the Invisble Falcon you now what I mean when I say we make and play complete characters or we end up lacking enough substance to RP with.
  3. heres my help dont be one the FireX3 build though very hyped is to be honest in the hands of new players more prone to eating dirt then planting corpses. Consider a fire/mental/force or elec mastery end game build. Though to be honest Id suggest another primary to like sonic or rad. Many other sets can look like fire through the customization of colors. Especially if you want to be a fire guy who shapes flame to his will like pyro.

Fire itself is actually very heavily resisted throughout the games content with only a few mob types like the banished pantheon really fire vulnerable. Think this way psi dmg for example cuts through clocks found at virtually every level range and factor heavily in many TFs and story arcs. Fire vulnerable mobs not so much. Sonic is especially nice as it debuffs dmg res so even those things with inital good res to its dmg wont for long.
  4. Primary Id say Sonic top, followed in close seconds by Psi and Rad. The rest are really more about flavor. Not saying they wont get the job done fine if you know what your doing still.

For 2ndaries atm there is only really one. Mental Manipulation for the great mix of controls, self regen/recov, and some very potent dmg including an end aoe most consider a nuke with none of the handicaps.

Now with word of Darkness being proliferated to blasters things will definatly change after that so you may just want to hold off till then to roll a serious one. If not I personally would suggest a sonic/mental/force end game build focussing on a global recharge IO set theme. With the debuffs of sonic, the backing of mental and force for survivalability, and the right incarnate tricks your build will be tougher then most tanks and out aoe dps the best fireX3 as you wont spend most of your time eating dirt

Sounds good in theory but a lot of things do until you try them.

You want to know go to the Virtue Server and look up a character by the name of Bentley Berkeley. If your lucky enough to run with him your answers will be found and you will wonder why there are not more out there like him.

Sadly they really dont. Most are just pure attack sets and blasters have SO MANY attacks they are much better off having options for utility and control rather then more offense in thier 2ndary. Some 2ndaries like Fire are in fact so good they can outshine some primary attack sets. Like an elec/fire blaster I once had. He pretty much came to favor his 2ndary attacks far above his primaries. Its still well known for example that sapping isnt something blasters should even bother building for so Elecs main 2ndary function is still a joke, yet if they buff it to be effective then could anything stand against that much steady dps and sapping in one? not likely as sapping offenders are proving every day.

Though perhaps that is the goal to make blasters start to compete with the new blaster, the Offender who has long been favored by many who want to blast but not work so hard to survive.

I am not saying the 2ndaries dont have any use nor thier place mainly in concept builds. Speaking of which anyone else think we need a blaster 2ndary that would be something of a martial or weapons melee style trick set maybe with some toys from stalker ninjitsu, to really let us make some kind of dual pistol wielding spec forces guy who also can hold his own up close?

Except it really is. Even most AVs have below average psi res. Any players who have played tanks since the early years will quickly shout how much they feared fighting psi using mobs.

Only a few defense sets carry significant psi def or res and these sets are rarely found on mobs.

Meanwhile numerous mobs will see protections to fire, cold, and energy in the 20% range and res upwards of 40% or even higher in some mobs cases. None of this is new to be spoken of. Its not just Lethal Dmg that gets LOLd at these days.

But Psi DMG never will be mocked by any but a fool. So please keep mocking it and confirming it for all who are in the KNOW. Keep in mind its well known only 1% of blasters are good, the ones who out tank tanks. If your blaster doesnt get tanks brutes and scrappers sending you tells during TFs in secret shame asking them how your blaster is out tanking them, then your not one of the 1%.

Bentley Berkeley:50 Psi/Ment/Force LoreRP Virtue blaster. None better with few equals. I fear not the Shadow Shard and Faathim is not KIND!

  9. I myself have been a virtue native for a long long time. and still to this day preach keep the game in game and dont care much for forums but things have been evolving so much of late in our game I figure its time for me to as well.

RP and its many styles have long been a subject of debate and even contention on Virtue. Some are anal about the need to put OOC before every non rp statement while many are quick enough to just be able to figure if a statement or comment is meant to be rp or not.

There are those who only do thier thing with thier SG or static group and yet feel the need to chat in local in rp hang outs to force thier silly emo BS on others who in turn are forced to put them on ignore so they can enjoy public chat for what its for random story driven rp with new faces.

There are also just so many different views about things like god moding, whether or not builds,IO sets, and level should be taken into account during RP. I dont exclude god moding if a build is worthy of it as well as a well written concept.Age of a character also should be taken into account and I have little problem if someone takes an old shelved 1st year dusts it off, gets a name change and becomes something up there in status concept. I saw someone in this thread for example mention thier demon prince. As someone who knows the original lord of demons lore based rp toon on virtue who is over 7 years old and insanely well built Id call anyone with a younger toon claiming such status to be a god moder while him I call a real epic icon of our server.

If you know T'Keron Valmaz you know what I am talking about.

He is what is called a lore based RPer and so am I. We use COX lore to create concepts and often as a source for names to try adn be as much a part of the world we play in as the npc contacts and citizens. We feel that in this way we avoid going to far into the realm of godmoding as there is nothing wrong with aspiring to the same lvl as statesman in conceptual power. Taking on roles and personas who often deserve to be more then a hostage in a single story arc. or maybe even just a name in some clue that still earns a whole page of info in a place like paragon wiki.

My character who bears the same name as I use here in the forums for example demetrios vasilikos is taken from doc vahz's true identity. The concept is crey while trying to capture doc vahz for his knowledge managed to aquire a dna sample.

They they created a memory core and put it in the most advanced paragon protector body they had created at the time. Unforseen events lead to the mind developing to a fully aware pre madness state. Now seeing himself as something of the real demtrios freed from the mad monster that he had become, he works to help those victimized by the vahz while helping crey protect the earth from the threat of meta's like statesman.

    Blaster Bummer

first problem your trying to run leadership no one outside defenders and regen/will power types with extra end recov autos should ever run those period. What you need is stealth up to phase shift. either invis or grant invis for an extra lotg7.5. you dont stop stacking global till your hasten is perma and then u still keep stacking it. forget def its way over hyped. If you can perma drain psyche your a bad ***. Fire prime is also way over hyped huge amounts of mobs from start to end game have tons of fire res and energy def. Psi/Ment would of been my suggestion. Great steady dps and alot of 2ndary control effects. my psi ment tore trapdoor apart like a little girl I just KBed him into the lava and kept him there.

Yes most of the time you want a min of a 6 group setting for mobs to offer large juicy ones. fire sucks because alot of its attacks may make mobs want to scatter which you never want as a mental manipulator.

Now Sonic/Mental may be for you probably now with diamagnetic slotted in your incarnate stuff you have the 3 best debuffs on top of a solid dps with psi attacks in your secondary to offer alternative/extra dmg.

Not to sound offensive but if your blaster dies so much then you really need to rethink it. A blaster who eats to much dirt even with a self rez isnt blasting enough to call himself one. Better to build to never die, and deal so much damage without any slow down that the best tanks cant take aggro from you where it belongs as you burn them down.

The FireX3 may be the worst, most useless blaster endgame as few do more then nuke, die, self rez, die and sit there waiting for support to rez them. That is not a blaster, not a blapper, not even a player. Its a piker trying to use the excuse I am a squishy blaster to cover up lazy selfish playing.
  12. WoC is by far one of the best tools on a mental maniplators arsenal. While lvling up I suggest investing arund 3 slots in it and using various procs, especially dmgs. At lvl 50 the 6 part purple confusion set is W/O a doubt one of the best advantages to the set. Not only will the proc confuse actually effect even bosses for a few seconds. but the natural field becomes highly effective against minions. Its not about making them your mindless army its about them turning away from you for the space of an attack, directing it at another enemey which makes them hit that one back. WoC buys you precious seconds to blast away. Its in a way a form of aggro misdirection defense.
  13. This 2ndary will be literally the only real alternative to Mental Manipulation. For those not in the KNOW MM is the only real blaster 2ndary worth having as it not only includes powerful attacks of the least resisted dmg type in the game, but powerful self healing/end recov along with very useful control effects to further mitigate aggression.

Currently I saw Only Sonic,Psi,and Rad as the very best options for blaster primes. A sonic/mental was pretty much without equal but now i see a time coming when dark/mental and sonic/dark become the two king blaster combos.
  14. Hello all. Ive been around a long time in the game, yet have never really been one to care for forum banter. I like to keep my gaming in game so to speak.

However Since my earliest days on COH way back in the early months, I have been mainly favoring the blaster. Now that doesnt mean I have a ton of 50 blasters, in fact I only have one, as I deleted every one that failed to meet my standards.

My standards where simple, but due to the early power set limits for blasters, thier choice, especially in the 2ndary sets, was sorely lacking the key tool blasters really needed to be on par with thier fellow warrior castes, the scrapper.

Then after weeks of waiting when the rumors and later solid info where given, we where given one update a new power combo set for blasters I had dreamed of having since that very first Elec/Fire blaster.

Psi/Ment is the combo that I refer to, and knew the day they first uttered it was in line to pass into the hands of my favored AT that perhaps finally Id find the tools Id need to take a blaster to cap and not delete him in disgust.

Psi blasts quickly proved itself to me. psi tornado especially remains to me the core of my attack chain. I put together a synapse tf at 15, knowing psi dmg would cut through the clocks like a hot knife through buttah, and despite being on a team with many folks who had max vet badges for the time, while my 2nd baby account( this one I am logged into here atm) had only its first 3 month badge. Seemed to shine far above my allies.

Infact as we went on it was clear the team was struggling and the one and only time I ever had, I adjusted my build plan on the fly and put off persuing stamina by 20, as I needed certain tools immediatly to help my team. This was a pure pug btw I did this for the sake of strangers.

During this the other blaster a bloke with max vet badges for the time, who was exemping down to help, sent me tells saying how impressed he was by my playing and ability out blast his much older more developed character. I mentioned I was no newb and in fact had been dreaming of psi blasts and what they could do to things like clocks for a long time. From then on they all pretty much rallied on my blaster and foccussed the buffs through him etc and our pace rapidly increased well past what it had been with the standard tank on point with all buffs centered through him.

It was in that moment I began to really understand the potential of my blaster, and suddenly saw the real fact that blasters had been decieved by the general population for quite some time.

I went through no number of build attempts once I hit 50, switching around a power here, tweaking a few slots there, trying to find the right feeling for me. Each was an evolution, a step from what I had tried, thought, felt, and now knew what was needed to be my best, not as a pve or pvp player, but as a BLASTER.

Now days I tend to hear regular comments like man how are you not dieing when my brute is, or man last night I was on that TF you ran and the tank was pretty much a piker with you there etc. I do not say that to boast, but so you blasters know you to have that potential to.

To be a great blaster, is to be the ultimate omni being. All you need is to look at what any and all need to survive and find the best way to put those aspects into the blaster concept that appeals to you most. A blaster is not just about dps which comes very easy for the AT. Its about dealing that DPS in a steady, deadly manner, while avoiding the dirt nap so many blasters seem to frequently partake in during adventures.

So when you make that blaster, YOU make that decision. Will you be Glass? Or will you be IMPERVIUM!

This is why I can never bring myself to be an openly evil character in an open-ended RPG, the idea of hurting people, killing them makes me ill. So no, I do not accept your argument Tramontane. Some part of you feels justified in your characters actions. The same goes for any "Racist Character."
This is not an accurate view. its an opinion. I for one have characters that are very much a part of me, a way to express certain traits magnified etc.

THen there are those I make that have nothing to do with me, but with a concept I suddenly take a liking to, and when I embrace that character I am thinking not what I do, but what they will do, and sometimes those are definatly things I would NEVER even remotely condone of nor wish to see occur in the real world.

Do you think actors that take roles as serial killers, and child molesters are always like those they portray? SOme may as a devoted actor do the role very well, some like heath ledger will be remembered as the guy who so fell into the darkness of his role it killed him. Imagine portraying a character so well that was so unlike you that you gave birth to a new part of yourself that actually was bent on destroying you.

Sometimes we are our characters, and sometimes a character is just an idea. Sometimes Ideas can cause alot of dmg, so be careful what you choose to create in the name of good plot.
  16. Ive been a Virtue native since the early months, and have always been an RPer of one kind or another as I feel no desire to play when I am not into one of my characters.

RP comes in alot of flavors and I myself have for the last few favored what I call LORE based RP. That means you try to create a character that makes sense within the known concepts of the world. THis can also extend to finding a name in lore and using it for your character, Ive been clearly told by more then one admin over the years that as long as the name is not used by a DEV or based on one like when I tried to make james temblor senior, it will be fine. I myself have been doing that as a form of reward for my 50s who I lvl as more generic fun concepts for quite a while.

I also do this in an effort to avoid what most call god moding. I know the desire to see your toon as a cosmic class being is tempting, but few want to be friends with the silver surfer if you catch my drift.

For example I have a blaster I am very fond off, and he was leveled usinga fun concept and name based on a character I made in an old pc rpg. But it also never quite blended into either the COX verse, and tended to seem abit to god like because where I did manage to find enough similarities to mesh the original concept with cox lore had him being connected with the creation of the shadow shards and an equal to the god like being trapped there. I really couldnt blame folks for feeling that was abit overboard even from a blaster built as solidly as mine.

So I looked at the origin he had, Magic. The concept, a Wizard, his main trademark to most who knew him( being a blaster that seems on one hand unkillable, but on the other prone to get in over his head) and set out to find a name in lore whose traits would mesh best.

I came up with Bentley Berkeley, and have found my RP with him since to be quite well recieved by those who enjoy more logical and lore orientated RP. He is both uniquely powerful, while quiet and humble, nothing more then a supernatural/occult lore expert who mainly works against the COT and banished and nicti threat, while being hunted by nemesis for his secret.

As an added touch I love to get him sent to jails in council and cot quests with them and let my friends RP saving me, so we can then fight our way out together. Its always a lark to save bentley berkeley after all everyone does it sooner or later
  17. Ive a modest one mission, story driven, investigation style AE mish to offer to the community.

Its numbered 46665 and is called An investigation into Longbow. Its a short timer and meant for those more stealth and investigate types. There is plenty of chances for fighting, and I think the short timer adds a real sense of urgency for the sake of story immerssion.

If I ever get enough feedback I may well expand it into a 5 part arc and maybe even do another chapter.

It is rough but complete enough to be a single stand alone mission for now, complete with a detailed souvenier to keep and look back on as a momento.
  18. This actually made me think of something I experianced on a recent BAF.

So the league leader is the kind that gives commands if the entire community outside of them are children, and they are big bird on sesame street.

Worse, they are not giving very clear directions, so those new to the BAF are clearly getting confused. My group quickly in team caht gets things explained to its members that need it, and we get in and largely because of ignoring the league leader do things as we see need being done. and things roll along without to many bumps.

We get to the end to take downt he 2 big baddies at once, and by this time my group has had enough of the piss poor talk down to us, holier then you attitude of the big leader.

So we decide to go rogue and do our damndest to make sure the bosses dont drop at the same time. We go full on pvpve working against the other players. and milk a ton of extra threads turning it into a reinforcment farm fest.

The poor league leader was practically frothing at the mouth over chat, not understanding why dmg kept shifting the wrong way on the bosses.Afterwards we all sent tells to that league leader explaining part of being a good leader is to make those following you actually want to follow you.

Ive not seen that paticular name join a baf since.
  19. I rarely post on the forums as ime being active on a forums poisens my love for a game faster then anything else. However OP Ive abit of advice for you.

The ignore command plain and simple. the 2nd you get an unwarranted tell from anyone for any reason, ignore them and forget about it. Had you the sense to immediatly report that character for harrassment the admin would have had an easy time checking over your chat log for the time and seen the unwarranted harrasment from this other play who likely would of recieved a 3 day ban.

As for when on a TF or League and not one leading it, one must accept the fact you need to play good little soldier and keep your head down and stick like glue to whoever is the leader of your unit. that way if something goes wrong you can honestly say hey i was following my units leader he must of been the one messing up.

When I lead a TF I brook no lip period. You dont like the way I lead your off the squad as I dont need someone trying to be wolverine to my cyclops. However I also dont verbally abuse someone for thier choice either I just say hey gl with whatever your own thing is and boot and be done. I have been on a few TF that I joined to help, and had some pretty abusive leaders who think the star gives the right to play tyrant. Those I walk away from with a I dont need to lend my power to your pathetic cause line, and go form a tf of my own.

Virtue btw is filled with many kinds of RPers along with a disgusting amount of meta game min maxxers who have invaded as thier less active server populations dry up.

Be the best you can be at what you want to do, but never let anyone tell you that your goal is wrong. maybe the path your trying is to windy, but with some help we can straighten that road out for you and clear it up so you cruise down it smooth.
  20. I can promise you that its only a matter of time before you get genericed if you use him. I had a character named clark t wayne who was genericed for infringing on both super man and batman. he was over 2 years old at the time and I personally feel it only happens when someone sees you and decides to report it as a complaint.

Spider Boy exist in copyrighted comics and as such no matter the costume you will not be allowed to keep that name.

On a side note the if you have to ask dont bother rule is false. My characters name Demetrios Vasilikos came from coh lore. I sent a in game petition asking if using it ona character would be a problem and they said it would not be. So if you really want to know just ask them. it will usually take a day or two for them to send a email reply but ive asked for a number of lore based names now and so far they have said yes to each one.

So although I know you must of have spider boy was something special he is a major clone toon no less then a spider man or wolverine and its only a matter of time before he is genericed.

Maybe try Arachlad or something abit more creative with spideresque flavor.

Some go hog wild with the toppings, putting everything and anything they can think of on it.

Or, others will go into specialty pizzas, like a Hawaiian, Chicago Deep Dish, or Sicilian style, where the sauce goes over the cheese.

And yet others will have nothing but exotic toppings, like goat's cheese, avocado, or even mayonnaise.

But there's one thing that holds true about pizza.

No one has ever lost friends or gotten into fights merely because they couldn't agree on toppings.

    Just food for thought.

Funny thing. I just came back to CoH aftera few months checking out champions online. yeah I know I was weak and thought maybe cryptic actually wouldnt frell us over again. Silly me for thinking companies actually want to make a long lasting and successful game. I think those days might be in the past.

Anyways I actually dont have alot of complaints about CO except one. With no specific servers, and the population scattered across the shards RP is pretty much a lost cause. Especially random lore driven RP like I enjoy.

In CoH I find the most common flavors of RP are complete non lore based stuff mostly from new players who just make up whatever pops into their head. Nothing really wrong with that but it tends to give me the desire to say um wtf are you talking about.

The next is the SG based RPer. These are the kind that stick largely to SG rp creating complex stories that have no bearing on the general world nor much to do with it. These will often show up in TF in groups of 3 or 4, and if running the TF will be especially bad. It will fill team chat with endless babble and inane conversation about things taht can often be offensive enough to some to end up on my ignore list.

The final flavor is the one I fit into and get along with best. These are Lore based characters, flexible and ready to adapt to new information be it from a new issue or a player able to offer insight on a topic. These are not at all forced into specific boxes and often like me take what is and spin it into new directions while keeping the basics the same.

For example I have long owned a private sg base named for Crey and my and my bros alts are all members and have built up a nice little lair. We spin crey as not evil but morally neutral. Thier goal is very much to protect earth and humanity. We rp those that yo fight as not even rogue crey operatives but infact longbow black ops performing questionable actions and using crey gear and uniforms as a way to frame crey while hiding thier own misdeeds. Even created a AE mission that isnt to long or hard but very much gives evidence to this conspiracy.

By drawing from lore you can be as much a part of the world as statesman or a npc walking down the street. If all your RP draws from and has direct connection with game plots then when you discuss new players might actually assume what your talking about is indeed game fact. Older players will likely know something about what your speaking of and be able to join in without even being to much of an rper or even be OOC and still add to the coversation without it being to obvious.

Examples: GI Joe and Barbie Doll are joining a TF. They are part of the 80s toys rpsg. They fill the chat with banter about thier SGs latest rp event which had to do with several other SG members love triangle, and the fact one was a clone of another from a alternate timeline. Sure it probably is really interesting. To those who took part in it and know the other SG members. But to the 6 other guys in the TF its worthy of being put on ignore for and soon you relize your on a tf and cant actually talk to anyone else.

Now Demetrios my favored RP main goes into the club and while i am checking bios sees one mention being a former crey employee and does a good job over all. I go up and use the Didnt you use to work in a lab down the hall from mine intro. We get into chatting and soon are in a heated debate over the merits and morals of cloning and artifcial life forms. Since I am one myself IC and infact endorse Creys operation I speak of it froma purely hypothetical but potentially world saving science. She speaks of how she was a scape goat of a labs illegal research and crey hung her out to dry and left for dead in creys folly when things went bad. She makes use of the fact crey is always scott free of wrong doing. how her hero identity is so she can function without persecution as her real name brings with it.

We spend alot of time discussing our own stories but each is as familiar as it is unique and easy to follow and interact with. When we leave maybe she wonders if maybe crey wasnt the one who left her for dead but longbow ops who played her the whole time, and if a clone can be more human then the one he is cloned from.

Random long lasting indepth RP between to strangers that have alot in common because we use lore to its fullest. Ive even met one toon that was practically the eve to my adam in build and background connected to crey and the paragon protector creation. Its strange yet when you meet someone with a background as well formed as your own and a build as nearly perfect its a pretty cool feeling worthy of something out of a comic like when cable first met X man.
