Well, keep in mind I'm only teasing, and have no objections to anyone having fun in a way they find...fun.
-
Neat, but the RPers would throw a FIT!

Quote:That and if you're a dedicated soloist, there's always street hunting.
RedSwitchblade goes one way:
If you want to solo, and your villain turns rogue with limited access to the Paragon City resources... just solo some more of your Side-Switching arcs until you change to Hero or Vigilante? Is that a feasible workaround? -
Quote:I would say this would not go over well with the massive amounts of players that find the forced zone events annoying and have hatred of PvP. I'd be fine with it, but I'm not exactly "normal".
Tokyo wants it forced:
I've said it many times, I would <3 an event similar to the rikti event or zombie event where pve zones became warzones and villains could lead an assault against heroes if they breech the war walls...
Example: "villains are breeching the war walls. Civilians have 5 minutes to seek cover." WW would be a safe area, inside any building would be a safe area. The event would be timed and those 'arrested' villains would be sent back to a rogue isle hospital.
Unfortunately... this would be too much fun for the devs to ever make it a reality. -
Oo, yes, forgot to mention the enhancements, but yes, I do that too.

Quote:I blame people's parents. It used to disgust me when my nieces would pester my sister until she gave in. Wuss! Hold your ground!
Forbin_Project knows the ropes:
Maybe the Op is one of those people that thinks NO means if they make pest of themselves long enough the person they are annoying will change their mind. -
Quote:I think the mistake you're making is assuming people have a "main badger" and that's it. BADGERS have that, maybe, but like other factions of the game, they're not the majority. And this change is entirely for the purpose of badgers and no one else, so /unsigned for being useless to most of the player base and counter to the dev's plan.
ChaosExMachina has personal focus:
Does anybody actually delete and reroll their main badge collectors? I'm guessing that an extreme minority of the population ever do such a thing, and if so they are probably the sort quite unlikely to subscribe less.
Can you think of even 1 person who would, under the current system, reroll a main badger, get to the cap, which, by the way, they are doing no faster than they would if they had not rerolled, then decide to quit?
Because the "time sink" argument is essentially saying that there is some sort of subset of the subscriber base that likes to farm badges with a single toon only, reroll that toon occasionally, and then farm them again. That's quite ridiculous. -
You're not seriously expecting anyone but the Germans to spell that properly, are you?
-
Fun is its own reward!
Damned numbers crunchers... -
Quote:True enough. The intriguing part is always sorting out which is which.
Lord_Nightblade knows how it works:
True, they are lying to you. But every good lie has a kernel of truth in it somewhere. -
Double works. Alternate as well. Clone is just such a specific term that doesn't fit.
-
Yes, to the Zig zone.
Yes, to the alternate method of interrogation.
No, to the PvP zone. -
Quote:I run it every single time on every character. I like entering the city at Level 2 with two big insps to sell in my pocket.
LISAR is a h8ter:
This would only aggravate people.
The tutorial is only good for like 3 runs before you never want to see it again.I do it for Isolator, too, but if it wasn't there, I'd still do it for the level and the insps.
-
While I think it's an excellent idea that people run the tutorial, I'm in no way in favor of MAKING them. The results you expect wouldn't occur anyway. Too many people don't pay attention to what's in the tutorial in the first place. Making them run it won't make them read and retain it.
-
You folks really need to stop saying "clone".
-
True enough. They're not really direct analogues. They pretty much make the characters the same way I do. Sure, there are archetypal influences, sometimes more than one, but they're not copies. Similar to what Kurt Busiek does in Astro City. Neither my Decorum or Statesman (or Samaritan, for that matter) are rip-offs of Superman, but they both have many a nod/homage in that direction of his archetype. Synapse has the super-speed archetype covered, although there's really nothing to suggest a rip-off of Flash, Quicksilver or any other specific speedster.

Quote:Probably, although I find anything the Menders say to be at least a little suspect.
Lord_Nightblade buys it:
I don't know. Mender Lazarus slips at one point and says 'invasion' instead of 'coming storm,' and the Shivans are known to be scouts for whatever the 'Coming Storm' is (it is a Shivan meteor that starts the whole event). So whatever is going to go down, it involves a tangible hostile invasion force. -
Eh, them's the breaks. I have an SG mate that's constantly cracking wise about me stealing his name and doing nothing with it for years because I got Masque of Red Death for my MM before he joined up. I just haven't played a lot of red side yet, mostly due to graphic limitations (with a side of redside just looking repulsive). But, people tagging names for holds have been going on since the game started. Nothing new or terrible about that.

Quote:Really? Its specs look a lot heftier than my X800 that plays the game just fine. Can't crank things up to max, but it works.
Ironblade poo poos:
It might lose bladder control while laughing at that video card. The 5450 is grossly underpowered for this game. The rest of the hardware looks great.
Not doubting you, of course, just don't have enough tech knowledge in this area to know why. -
To me personally, you need both halves of that to be a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Plenty of examples of either half alone that aren't Mary Sues.

Quote:I seem to recall someone saying you actually do now, with I17.
Nightphall might or might not find this useful:
And we have yet to see who the master of Romulus is..... -
Quote:The Vindicators are a team of side-kicks. Therefore, they're the (Teen) Titans.
cursedsorcerer defaults to the muties:
The Vindicators are likely the X-Men (although they aren't all mutants) -
Venture beat me to the Baron Strucker comment, so I agree with that.

Time's funny in comics. And also in a comic-related MMORPG.

Quote:Making the ultimate sacrifice is indeed the very name of your alternate's objective in the navigation box.
The_Killbot_5000 notes:
I don't think it is possible Sam, of course I can't be 100% sure, but it seems like your other selves are meant to make the ultimate sacrifice.
