Quote:It's not out yet, which, if they're testing it, would make sense.
Terror1 wonders:
No i meant the ingame on store live. cant see any other boosters there now. -
And of course there are SOs in the game lower than 25. I hunt them down in WW on a regular basis (and also, there's Mr. Yin's store you get access to from completing Penelope Yin's Faultline arc, but those are Origin specific). Pre-15 DOs, too.
-
The Store was down today and probably was just acting wonky still. Give it a shot tomorrow.

Quote:If you do it that often (at least in one zone) all you're going to get is a whole bunch of people yelling at you to quit spamming. Move around. Personally, I wouldn't pop it any quicker than every couple of hours in any one zone.
ImpulseKing keeps on:
1. Space the timing of your announcements. Once every 5-10 minutes should be plenty. -
Be careful what you wish for. I hear the Moon Zone is a harsh mistress.
**dodges rotten fruit** -
Quote:Y'know, I never even made the connection. Some would consider it wrong because rad/rad isn't a defense or resist set like "armor should be".
DarkGob grabs my head and points it at Posi:
How could that be wrong? There's a signature character based on the exact same concept!
Yes, sometimes I'm really that thick. -
It's not actually usable in-game yet. They found it by that typing in [Secondary Mutation] and clicking on it to get the info box dealy. And the live game, I presumed.
-
I love the instance ambushes because if you have your NPC chat on, you get a warning way in advance.

Quote:The "spirit world" in Croatoa isn't a land of the dead. It's more like the land of Fey/Fairy.
Kyzock has a correction coming:
Besides, spirit world, netherworld, heaven, hell, sure - there's differences, but they all pretty much have one thing in common: Only the dead dwell in these places. -
Heck, my Nuclear-Warhead is wearing full Iron Man type armor, yet he's a rad/rad defender, which many people would think "wrong", but it works for me. I prefer not to be limited by clothing.
-
The power for the Mutant Pack has already been found ingame. It's [Secondary Mutation] and looks to be a self-buff similar to Mystic Fortune.
-
Flying is the most convenient travel power, but they made it the slowest to compensate.
There is also Superspeed, Super-Jumping and Teleporting. Plus a myriad of flying or super-jumping temporary powers from various sources.
EDIT: Heh, beaten again. I do love how everyone falls all over themselves to help out around here. It's almost competitive. -

Smiling_Joe knows how they are:
Curse you, DumpleBerry. You made me snort Mountain Dew out my nose. -
I'm with Aett. I want what I'm wearing to have a big zero effect on my powers.

Quote:A very similar self-buff is coming with the Mutant Pack, called Secondary Mutation. Some people found it in the game already.
Slashman can't be expected to know, but...:
I could actually support a self-buff...but it seems to thematically clash with having your fortune told by someone else. -
Quote:Well, saying "lft" in Broadcast does work, but rather poorly. It's best to join the Global chat channel for your server and communicate with the people there, or join a good SG. Check out the Server specific forums for more info on this.
IrishBrewed has specifics:
Thanks for the quick replies. I have basic questions in regards to the game. How are groups formed?
Quote:Are instances, more or less dungeouns that have Bosses and adds? Are the instances real long time wise.

Quote:Is the games appeal more then just putting on levels?
Quote:Can you still get a lot done if you play alone? -
General advice is to just play the game, you'll get to 50 quickly enough. There's no need to rush. XP and influence are easy to come by and Super Sidekicking greatly reduces the need to be a high level. This game's about the journey, not the endpoint.

DumpleBerry gives us a crack-up of a bio:
Mike Jatczak is a mostly unpublished writer from the abyss known as Detroit, Michigan. He is the world's foremost expert in the Dark Melee/Dark Armor Scrappers in the City of Heroes MMORPG,

Smells like someone wants money for taking readily available info and gathering it all in one place (and using misleading advertisement). I consider that a con. Just do the legwork for free.

Quote:Technical note: Those things went up due to supply and demand, not inflation. If it was inflation, everything would have gone up.
DrMike2000 understandably slept through econ:
What I meant was that the 2 billion influence we can store per character means less in terms of what it buys, due to inflation. Maybe it used to translate into say 2000 LotG +Recharge recipes, now it only translates into 200. -
Quote:Better cover your eyes when the next one comes out, then.
Samuel_Tow needs a blindfold:
If I never see another temporary power in a booster pack, it'll be too soon.. -
Quote:That sounds more like what he was suggesting than what he thought is. He wants premade rooms (even whole bases) without having to go through all the details.
Forbin_Project sees funny:
The impression I got from reading that was that he was implying that there was a predetermined floor plan that told base builders where each room is supposed to go. -

Talen Lee notes:
One of the buffs includes a penalty to defence.
Because it is possible to roll the dice on the fortune and come out behind in an area that is important to you, it is important to make sure that the player has an option to avoid it.
Me, I don't like the solution? I'd just ditch the penalty, tone down the benefit, and so on. But the choices have been made.Quote:macskull focuses on significance:
Nah, only [The Fool] has any debuff at all associated with it, and even then it's a -3% tohit debuff, which pales compared to even the weakest NPC tohit debuffs and is entirely negligible when thrown into the equation with accuracy slotting and tohit/accuracy buffs. Until I start fighting characters several levels above me, I don't see a decrease in my hit rolls. Even if you do pretend the tohit debuff is significant, the damage and recharge bonuses granted by the power more than even it out in the long run.
