I feel like I just lost.
THE GAME -
Quote:Outside of a very few exceptions, all NPCs cap at 90% too.the only things i know of which go up to 90% are brute tanker and NPCS (which cap at 95%)
The AVs that used to cap at 100% have been changed to cap at 95%. I suppose these are the only ones that matter, though, because they're the only things that can reach those caps. -
Double check that. The -recharge should ignore buffs an enhancements, but the -speed portion should not.
-
Quote:I understand that. I'm just saying it's only affecting one power by the percentage it gives you. The way he worded his post, I wasn't sure if he thought the % increase to recovery was off of his base.By adding end mod to Stamina, that does give the player more recovery. I may be mis-understanding the above though.
What's more valuable? All of your pets doing 8% additional base damage that will be amplified by your -resist or 6.6% more recovery?
(Math for that, by the way, is 2/3 * 33% Alpha enhancement * 30% Stamina boost) -
Quote:Please pardon me if this seems over the top, but I feel I have to say this. The "only" complaint i can muster is my desire for knockdown
Get your grubby little mitts off my MFing knockback! It's mine! MINE, I TELL YOU! You can't take it away from me!
Seriously, though, the knockback is what I love about Gravitic Emanation. I love a tool that can position people where I want them. Now, the KB in Dark Detonation and such, I would prefer that to be knockdown because it's a random chance KB. You actually do end up scattering groups that way because half of them will get knocked back. Then again, most of them die too fast to matter. -
I've got two.
Lux Machina: A natural kheldian that was nearing the end of its lifespan and had no host available to him. In a desperate action, he merged with a primarily fiber optic computer, hoping to survive within the machine. It worked, and a humanoid robotic system was then built around this computer. It was great to be able to RP a Kheldian that wasn't a merged personality, but the static team he was designed for fell apart. Also, concept dictated he be a human form peacebringer, which put him at a sad disadvantage.
Abrakaboom: This concept of mine has been reworked so many times its not even funny. The personality hasn't ever changed, but the powersets and AT has. The personality is that of a super egotistical, however inept, stage magician. It started as an illusion/rad controller; illusion for obvious reasons and rad because it seemed to clash less than anything else. That wasn't inept enough, though, so then he became a fire/elec blaster to be even more flashy but fragile. Tragically, when inept meant either dying or near so every other spawn, it lost its fun.
Then, Demon Summoning came out and I was happy. The story became that he accidentally summoned demons during one of his shows while trying a complex "trick" he found in an old book. The problem was that I didn't like any of the secondaries because I wanted to keep him as powerless as possible. With i21, Sonic proliferation is exactly what I need to reboot the concept. He will have woven speakers into his suit jacket so that he can perform anywhere, and the demon summoning accident will still occur. -
Keep in mind, the alpha is only acting like an enhancement. The +recovery isn't giving you more recovery, it's just going to tack a little bit onto Stamina. The +run speed is just going to affect sprint, swift, and superspeed if you have it.
I would go core, myself. -
Quote:It's not just that, to be honest. It's Rage.It still amuses me that a set with only ONE AoE power is consistently named as a top AoE performer.
(I know, I know, Foot Stomp is a good power, it's still funny though.)
Everyone can get Fireball, or Electric Fences and Ball Lightning. Suddenly SS has frequent AoEs that are 40% stronger than everyone elses, or 80% if you've got rage double stacked. -
I'd say Dark Melee, because of the tentacles.
...
Oh, you meant that kind of offensive. My bad.
Dark Melee is still one of the better single target damage sets, if you have enough people around you to fuel Soul Drain. Super Strength is fair in Single Target and excellent at AoE. Electric Melee is probably the best AoE damage dealer, but the single target is fairly poor. -
Gravitic Emanation is a 100% chance to knock back. If you only knockback five, it's either be cause you missed the other five or you didn't position the cone well enough to hit all ten enemies.
Part of what allows WS powers to be so powerful is their conditional efficiency. You're asking for buffs to a tankmage and we don't at all deserve them. -
Quote:There is redraw time. It does not exist between attacks if the weapon is drawn, that is what was fixed long ago. It used to be that redraw time was baked into every animation. That is no longer the case, but redraw still hurts your attacks if you switch weapons.I'm far from the worlds best video editor, but if there is any remaining delay caused by redraw, it's in time-frames so microscopic that to worry about it or expect devs to devote more time to it really unrealistic. Granted, I haven't tested every combo, but still.

Community is number one.
That any build on any budget works is two. -
I don't think that will work as pictured. If you pay close attention, you'll notice that all of the game's wings follow the same rig. The best you'll be able to get is standard shaped wings with eyes and some cool textures.

I still type it occasionally.
I never expect it, because I have a sort of reverse altitis. I can only play four of my characters, and they're all level 50. I can't tell you the last time I had a character go "DING." -
Winterminal is correct on all accounts pool customization to my knowledge.
As far as weapon redraw, the last I heard was that BaBs found a way to eliminate it just before he left the company, but it badly broke the game in other aspects. -
Quote:Excellent.I'd be all for that, Dechs. ...[Awesome character details]... The Kaison Corporation would be his first go-to if they opened the doors.
Quote:I would make that as well, Dechs!
Undecided with whom... But only because there are a few good options for me, hehe.
It'll being hosted by a former mobster trying his best to open a mostly legitimate business in the Isles. High profile, swanky public affair could be a great way to describe it. -
Quote:Oh, I'm aware of this. I have a Necro/Storm that is similarly challenged for endurance consumption, but mostly because my Lightning Storm recharges at an obscene rate. I've also leveled a Dark Armor brute without stamina. Right now, I've got more influence and merits than I know what to do with, so the miracle/numina combo will be both quick and easy to obtain.Word of warning - an actively attacking MM with Demon's Whips + Sonic's toggles is going to be challenged by endurance management. Have your merit farmer earn a lvl 20 Miracle unique for immediate usage at lvl 17, is my advice. Thinking of Disruption Field's end cost increasing (as per usual for MMs) makes my spine shiver.
I think I'll be alright.
Not a chance. I intend to go with Rebirth Regen and maybe Musculature if I can get away with it. I look at incarnate stuff as "bonus" stuff. I will be able to function fully from level 1-50 without incarnate goodies. -
Pfeh. With an effective resistance that's higher than a tanker's cap, the PBAoE heal will be more than plenty.

Gratz, Steelclaw.
Here's looking forward to the next 48 months. -
Hey Nalrok, sorry to piggy back off of your topic, but since there's a pretty significant number of people in the thread I'm going to take advantage of it.
So I'm thinking of doing a similar event. I plan to invite a ton of people to my main's supergroup base under the IC pretense of a grand opening of his medical facilities.
It's a redside base, so people would need to be rogue or villain to enter. The theme would be very lax, though, as the base is a legitimate medical and research facility with a less than perfectly clean background. Would this prevent interested people from showing up? I figure, at the worst case, people could make a level 1 redside version of their intended character. Is there a time/night of the week that would be most agreeable to all time zones? -

Overall, I had a blast. Especially got a kick out of being called "Pharaoh."
I don't begrudge the "frat boys." They came to do what we all came to do: Socialize.
I do begrudge the people that couldn't just ignore it if they didn't like it. It seemed like once the frats came out, a bunch of people bailed. I tried to keep going, but the crowd had all but died, and Paladin formed up the Tin Mage. And my warshade can't turn down a good IC TF.
