  2. Interesting. What does your toon look like with all of those weird armor add-ons? I love the look of Granite though. The hulking goliath of stone. lol. I've heard there is a way thru set IOs to negate all of the debuffs from granite to run @ sprint speed and possibly faster.
    Problem for the OP is that he wants to fly, and unless he wants to turn granite off and then fly, he's kinda SoL.

    Does anyone actually use burn as anything more than a scatter power anymore? Without a troller to lock em down, it doesnt get the full effect of the power. I had thought about getting it on a Kat Scrapper to fight AV's, but that wont be for a while.

  4. I was debating over an Stone/Elm or Stone/DB. This is how Ive seen most Stone tanks go, and probably how you would want to go if you don't end up dropping this toon. Take Teleport (self), TP Foe, Swift, Lightning Rod. That way you will be TP (self) every other mob and LR'ing in between with the occasional TP Foe. Like Call Me Awesome said, mud pots is probably your most damaging power ( I would slot some procs in it IMO). You arent going to be dealing massive amounts of damage in a tank anyway, but the AoEs on ELM are nice, especially w/ mudpots & Taunt keeping foes in range. I would remove recall friend and put in either Hover/Fly or AS/Fly. You can still fly in between zones/missions, you will just have to turn off Granite. Pretty much once you get granite you wont be running much else. I would take the defensive powers as I/O mules only (Aegis movement, LotG +rech, Kismet + Acc, ect). You shouldnt be worried about movement too much while in granite form as most foes will be in melee range already and runners will be taken care of w/ TP foe. I wouldnt delete this toon, but thats me. I thinks its a great concept. If it weren't for the curiosity of seeing a Granite DB spinning, slicing, and dicing I would have made this one already and PL'd him to 32ish. just my 2 inf tho.
  5. Its an intersting combo that I don't think I've ever seen in game or in a sig. I think it would look cool, not sure about performance. Will have to MIDs it up when I get home.
  6. Hey folks, quick questions about a new toon Im going to be rolling. 1st is the most obvious, can I do Dual Blades and Stone Armor? Im @ work now, but Im pretty sure I can. @nd question is what do the animations look like in Granite? I would think its sweet watching that stone goliath twist and slice up foes, but I thought I'd ask on here before I was 32 lvls and countless hours lvling him up. Thanks!
  7. I love snipes, but I do wish they got a slight buff in the damage/range/int time. I use them during combat on my Arch & AR toons for the heavy hitter (too low lvl for the REAL big hitters).
    I don't think CoH has the ability to do a charge up attack. But there is no reason a power with "Extreme" damage should be skippable. Devs please see if you wouldn't mind datamining a little bit to back us up here? Thanks!
  8. For the style of play I enjoy, NGR secondary sucks. As a whole it seems to be a good set, but kind of forces you to Blap. As a blaster I would rather stay @ range and kite, but with the knockbacks of both prim & secndry I found myself having to get into melee range more than I prefer. Just my opinion though. I know a lot of people who love Nrg secondary, just not my cup of team (which is why he hasnt lvl'd in over a yr). YMMV tho.

    Not AVs. I know it does mins, LTs, and maybe bosses, but not AVs. Ive never built a toon to use burn (so much hate on the boards for that power), but i think Elm/Fire will be nice.
  10. I don't know how attached you are to weave, but you could go ahead and get super jump and put the travel power IO (dont remember the names now) that boosts ranged and AoE defense. 2 for 1 and much less end consumption. Just a thought

    Ok I was reading a thread on this a while back, but I can't seem to find it now. While it probably won't be FoTM, I think this setup has a lot of damage potential to go with huge debt potential. Since Fire is resist based, is there any way to make this a viable AoE PvE build. I would think that LR + blazing aura + JL + Fireball would be a very nice opening volley, Im worried that the toon would be dead before most spawns are dead.
    Is there a way to get soft capped to anything (positional) w/ this setup? Any thoughts/tips prior to putting him on test? Thanks!
  12. I have an NRG/NRG Blapper in the 20's and while he is fun to play, the NRG secondary sucks big time. If I were to do it again (which I might) I would go NRG/Elec. The only reason I say to keep NRG primary is the knockback. I know most people hate knockback, but very rarely is it actually a problem with people who know how to use it as a mitigation tool.
    Your pool choices are definately going to be tight though. I would suggest you go the flight route as you can use both Hover and CJ @ the same time as well as slot them with IOs that get defensive boosts. Its definately going to be an expensive build, and you are going to want to pick your attack powers carefully (tight build). Good luck to you man. If you are on Justice look me up @ Darth_Vernon
  13. 15.4 secs is amazing for RoA. I just started a version of this toon last week and I was alrdy enamored with the killing speed. I friggin lvl'd to 10 in about an hour and a half. Crazy fast for me. Da Da Da Da DA...Im Lovin it!
  14. Im going to vote scrapper FM/SD/F

    WAYYY to much AoE (if there is such a thing) and since you will be burning through the mob's I would think the inf will be earned much faster.

    Do you vets think a normal farm scrapper (Spines/Fire or Spines/Dark or Fire/Fire) would be able to handle those types of spawns?
  15. I was going to put this in another thread, but here seems adequate as well.

    What are your thoughts on a Stone/ELM Tank. From a pure team PvE stand point, it would seem very nice with the AoE, and LR to teleport to the next spawn. End wouldn't be an issue and Granite will kill most of the damage output anyway. Thoughts?
  16. Welcome back. I myself just returned last week from a little over 1yr hiatus (more accurately a forced retirement). My CPU literally caught on fire play CoH one day and I dodnt have the funds to buy a new CPU. But YAY, 1st bonus check and now Im zooming on a new laptop.

    I am on Justice as well, seems to be lots of toons there. I haven't really delved too much in the the Architech yet, and Im still waiting on my 1st 50.

    I would like to note that we probably won't get this in its entirety. We will probably be able to pick the power type, animation/sound, and enhancements. I can't imagine they would allow us to gift the powers and I don't see them increasing the level cap, so the Dev's are going to have to find another way for us to do the signature power things.

    I love the idea though!
