  2. I know very little about Grav. If your singularity is tanking I would take fire as damage. Maybe energy for damage and mitigation.

    I also just rolled a Mind/Energy last week. It is still a baby though. I do have a 50 Mind/FF controller. Ironically enough I believe it is Mind/FF/Fire (I only play it when in dire need of a buffer). Mind is an amazing control set and I would recommend it to everyone.

    That aside, AoE immobs are very hard to use. I love it on my Fire/Earth (in his 40's) because of the "Ghetto Hold" synergy with Fire Cages and Flashfire. When we are blowing through missions, I can alternate the ghetto hold and Cinders every other mob.

    The problem (or advantage) to mind is its soft control is not an imob. It's a sleep. Sleeps are VERY useful solo because people can be taken out one by one.

    Plant/'s soft control is indeed imob. Therefore, you do need the survivability. It could be argued that Seeds of Confusion and Spore Burst both contradict everything I am saying so I should shut up. ( All the confused people killing each other might benifit from some -res?).

    I still believe the added survivability of the Ice APP will benefit the OP as it has benefited me in many situations.

    That is true. I would still take Ice on a solo build for Frozen Armor. I like defense better than resistance. In my opinion, Dominators die. They die a lot. If they get hit, they will die. If they don't get hit, they will not die. If you are dead, you can not have any DPS, aoe or st.

    EDIT: Hoarfrost is very helpful while soloing. I don't usually take hibernate so I will not comment on that.

    In the end, Ice is worse DPS than Fire, but with the increased survivability will help you hit for longer and in the end will create more damage.

    I always take Ice for the reasons stated above. The -res makes up for the lack of damage (in comparison to fire's).

    I have been leveling my Fire/Earth dom too. They are a lot of fun. I am only a couple levels from 50. It has been a fun ride and am excited to finish this up. I would recommend make a build for later on (perma-hasten, softcapped s/l, etc.). Start with common IO's and slowly fill in the pieces. Endurance management is very important with this build. Have fun!

    I'll keep tinkering with it. I made a few changes and all numbers look good except endurance.... I will run it over on test before I do anything on live servers. Thank you all! I will keep you guys posted on when test is done in case any of you want to come kill some things with it.

    You might also want to consider slotting the defense toggles with Enzyme HOs. They provide good +defense and +end redux.

  22. I don't have any slots planned as it is so that won't be a problem yet. I picked up IW because I like it better than Link Minds which is needed to grab WoC, MoB, and PT. What about Fighting? Should I squeeze that in? I assume the main goal with Dom builds is Permadom but obviously I can easily be wrong.
  23. Okay. I didn't realize that about hurl boulder, and I had no idea I forgot hasten. Okay should I drop char for Ring of Fire. As you can tell, I made that choice from a background with controllers, but what should I drop for Ring of Fire?
  24. I've been flirting with the idea of rolling a dominator for a while now. I finally made a Fire/Earth. What should I skip in it? As of now these are the power choices I will be taking. The mastery pick was made to allow Hot Feet, Mud Pots and World of Confusion to stack. What do you think?
