Would rather developer resources are spent on non-gimmicks, personally.

Quote:It's not a critical bug by any means. The TF is perfectly completable in its current state (in fact, I just finished an LGTF 10 minutes ago, ran like a dream). It certainly would be nice if it were fixed, but I doubt it's at the top of their to-do list, nor should it be.It's been like that for years, the fact that it's still not resolved is either laziness, contentedness, incompetence, ignorance from one or more people or something else.
Fact of the matter is that the one in charge of the game should have stepped up and opened his or her mouth and placed the right people on this too fix.
In all sports the players are the ones on the field making the mistakes, but the coach is always the one blamed. He is supposed to make sure that everyone knows what to do, and work as a team. Same here, the person highest in the chain of command should have made sure that within a certain amount of time this would be fixed.
But hey, it's not like it's a Signature Arc, right? -
Seeing a demorecord of Bill Z Bubba's Claws/SR solo the towers in the last mission of the ITF inspired me to work on building and leveling my own Claws/SR (mind you, she is still not level 50 due to a terrible and crippling case of alt-itis). I wish I could find where he posted it on the forums but I think the post has been purged by now.

I find it really hard to take that statement seriously when Disney has come to own Marvel Comics since the first movie came out.

Fire Manipulation has a total of 6 PBAoE powers.

Quote:3 powers in Pain Dom do +DMG, only one of them is a pure self-buff (the other two are ally-only and team PBAoE, both of which very much benefit Masterminds).Neither does Empathy. They aren't supposed to.
Those 2 sets, more than any other, are the "I plan on teaming at all times" sets.
Pain Domination is much better for Corruptors, at least on them the damage buff a lot of your buffs give you is useful. Not so much for Masterminds, since pet damage isn't affected by thse buffs. -
1. Not sure I understand the question. If you create the character they're going to have to start SOMEWHERE. As a Controller, currently, that is blueside or goldside. But there's no reason you can't just create the costume, save it, then load it back up and create the character when I21 goes live.
2. Dunno, haven't gotten my Elec Dom to 32 yet (argh, only 2 levels away and I didn't play him during 2XP! missed opportunity).
3. Truly free players (meaning, not Premium) have many of the same restrictions as Trial accounts, including only being able to chat in Local and Team channels. You may find them silly, but I enjoy not being inundated by RMT spam. More details can be found here (try the Side-by-Side Comparison).
4. Not yet, but the Steampunk Booster has opened the door for it in the future (especially now that Freedom makes offering individual costume pieces for sale much more viable).
5. Can't help you specifically there, but there's an entire subforum dedicated to guides. EDIT: Re-read your question, try this article on the CoHTitan Wiki to get started.
6. Yes, you can change to Windowed Mode under graphics Options. This currently requires you to restart the game for it to take effect, but this will no longer be the case starting with I21. -
On top of what everyone else said, keep in mind (and I don't know how long you've been gone) that sidekicking now works differently (everyone on the team SKs/exemps to the leader) and that you can earn XP while exemping (worried about losing powers? you get to keep your powers up to 5 levels above your exemplar level). So you needn't limit yourself to teams that are within your level range.

So no large insps until tier 8? VIPs get this filled in automatically even if they're not tier 8 yet, right?

Quote:I was suggesting that it would merely get locked due to the petty bickering that has developed on a tangent off from the original topic (such as it was).If this thread does get moderated... well lets just say that my global feed back about CoH will drop to the negative for the first time ever.
Still kinda shocked it's not closed yet, especially given that the thread has now literally gone down the toilet. -
Quote:Spider-Man's strength level is canonically in the 10-ton range.Under the old Marvel Super Heroes RPG system, Spider-Man's Strength is Incredible, which, IIRC, signifies a lift (press) capacity in the 25-ton range. That's a hell of a lot stronger than any normal human being. Dude can throw a car. I dunno where your threshold is, but mine's somewhere below that.
Heck, if you wanna split that hair, nobody in City of Heroes is invulnerable, especially the characters with Invulnerability.
Marvel's own character wiki, by the way, describes him as possessing "superhuman strength". -
Quote:Don't be silly, there's no experience debt in this game. You're playing one of the slowest solo AT (due to debt accumulation) and it takes more and more XP as you raise in level. But still, even with that, what you describe doesn't sound particularly slow in MMO terms.
Anyway, leveling is still quite a bit faster then it used to be due to the leveling curve being smoothed, but 30-40 is generally still pretty slow, and you're right at the start of that particular region. Amy_Amp's suggestion of getting credit for the Law Enforcer/Arachnos Agent Day Jobs will help. Your character will also accumulate "Patrol XP" while logged out, which while you have it grants you XP and 1.5x the normal rate (debt will burn off this first if you have it, but see both above and below regarding debt). -
This is actually the silliest thing I've read today. I don't even know how to respond to it.

Since this thread is probably on its way out, I'd just like to remind the OP that I have not gotten your stuff yet. Just toss a PM my way and we'll hash out the details.
Very truly yours,
DarkGob -
Spider-Man has super strength without invulnerability. He's more durable than an average human, which is why he can punch hard stuff without taking too much damage (although he's been shown to break his hands after repeatedly pummeling a brick wall), but he's not invulnerable.

Rularuu the Ravager menaced Paragon City back in the roaring '60s. Luckily, before his interdimensional plundering could properly commence, Rularuu was defeated by a group of superheroes. In an ironic coup de grace, the Midnight Squad trapped Rularuu in an otherworldly prison called the Shadow Shard, where hes been stewing ever since. There is some rumor that the Dream Doctor and Rularuu are connected somehow.

Quote:The instructions for setting up the Beta Server are here.I haven't set it up because I don't know how and don't have the time.
Can anyone address my question/concern?
Any replies would be appreciated. -

Whoa whoa whoa, back the truck up right there buddy boy. I didn't have a point except that Beam Rifle is not granted to VIP players for free immediately upon release as Time Manip is. And it's not. You have to spend your points on it, whereas for Time Manip you just get it.
And I'm not criticizing this model, by the way, but congratulations for making a completely wrong assumption based on literally nothing but your own preconceptions. -
Quote:That seems like an exceptionally odd way to phrase it, especially since it said "with /time", implying a powerset rather than a demarcation of the continuity of the 4th dimension.Re-read what you quoted. "WITH TIME", you get Beam Rifle for free. You also get Street Justice and Titan Weapons for free "WITH TIME". Just by waiting two months each, you'll get them for free.
But yes, that is true.
