Quote:Pre-ordering Going Rogue through Gamestop. There are Titan-Os which I've never seen, and the special Level 1 Damage enhancements you get with new toons as a tier 7 Paragon Reward now, which originally came from buying the Good vs. Evil deluxe edition boxed set or something.
There's also Hydra Origins, the other HO meat. -
Quote:It's a bit complicated to explain fully, the ParagonWiki article goes into good detail. basically, you start using Training Origins (TOs), at level 12 you can use Dual Origins (DOs), at 22 you can use Single Origins (SOs). Any Origin character can use any Training, Dual Origins are matched by Origin pairs, and Single Origins are thus exactly what they sound like.So what are SOs and DOs? Just to clarify whats what for enhancements and such? I just remember buying enhancement stuff from stores, and I think that big blob Hamidon? gave 1 really good one when you beat him.
Hamidon Origin (HO - yes yes, we know, bad acronym) are the ones that Hami drops, you can now also get them from the Statesman Task Force or Lord Recluse's Strike Force (albeit in Synthetic form, they are functionally identical to the "real thing"). HOs can enhance multiple aspects of a power at once, like Damage/Accuracy. Invention Origin (IO) Set enhancements can also do this. -
They're RAMMING this downtime down our THROATS!

1. I believe they're left open.
2. I suspect they would remain as they are since they're still a valid contact for you (although if the contact's arcs are NOT co-op...then I dunno).
3. No, you just won't be able to access the base.
4. Rogues are Villains, Vigilantes are Heroes. This applies to any game content that doesn't recognize Rogues and Vigilantes as being distinct, such as Ouroboros.
Edit: CURSES! Beaten to the punch! You'll rue the day you met me, StarGeek!! -
Quote:I was just saying I didn't care enough about it to make any comment on it, but since you're dragging it out of me...I'm guessing you wouldn't pay? Thats cool, but I doubt without any incentive that they would put this back in. I mean its been gone for years now. It should be easy as heck to add it again since it was in the game before. Give us more options rather than less. You have the option not to buy it, but I do. Win win.
Ideally they would just put it back in, like everyone else I'm curious why it was taken out. If it was just a weird oversight that nobody noticed until now, then it shouldn't be put on the Market, it should be put back into the game for free where it belongs. But if it was removed for some reason, but could be offered on the Market, then sure, why not? -
Quote:...I suddenly want to try this now, just to see it in action. You don't see RotP, Soul Transfer or Resurgence being used as the rez power in AE for a good reason.
RotP from 16 foes is going to hit for 100+ pt's of KB and you have only 12 points of protection and 0 resistance to it and 50+ stun thats going to drop your toggles and end the farm real quick. Never mind the massive damage from that many RotP's. Heaven forbid you hit 40 mobs with ION and get smacked with that inferno. -

Is it simple? Changing a Science origin character slotted with Science origin SOs to another origin would completely invalidate that character's build.

Look at it this way -- now it's a radiology suite!

Quote:Edge of Chaos has been moved, you no longer need to be full Hero to get it.Yeah, I dropped the ball somehow and forgot to get the Atlas prior on one of my rogues, so I've gotta make that round trip shortly myself... I share your pain.
(I think this is what you're referring to...) -
Liberty is finally tying the knot, so Pinnacle and its buddies are throwing him a bachelor party.
Might be down straight through next morning...

Things not on Bill's list:
Power Customization (ability to recolor any power with visual effects, alternate weapon models for those sets that use them, alternate animations for certain sets)
Mission Architect - player-made content (sadly, this is mostly exploited as a farming/PLing tool - yeah, this still happens, it's just not the same missions as back then)
Gradual revamping of old content (Positron TF is no longer a tedious slog, and is now broken into 2 parts)
Flashback/Ouroboros - ability to (re)do story arcs you've outleveled (even if you never did them in the first place), being exemped down to the appropriate level for the duration of the arc
Super-sidekicking: You don't need to pair everyone up with a sidekick now, everyone is SKed/exemped to the team leader/mission holder
And so so so much other stuff. I started playing right around the time you stopped, from the sound of it, and it still blows me away how much the game has changed during that time. To echo the previous two posters, definitely spend some time browsing the articles on the Issues you've missed on ParagonWiki. -
This would be a good place to start.

You won't be able to make a Controller on a non-VIP account unless you've purchased the unlock for the Archetype (Trollers and MMs are gated behind the Market for non-VIPs).
-
Galaxy City has finally gone to the Americans.
-
Being able to edit a character's profile AT ALL without the glitches that accompany any attempt at backspacing or inserting text into the middle of existing text it would be a nice start.
-
You NEEDED them, really? I mean, I'm a badger too, but...
-
It still annoys me that Time Merits are gated by time.
