Can you tell me what I was doing wrong, or how I can simulate this so that I can change my avatar in the future and even add a Signature picture?
Edit: I think I figured it out by copying the Direct Link from Image Shack. I was even able to use a better avatar picture! Now to try to upload a signature pic!

Hey all,
Little embarressed to ask this, but I could use some help getting my Avatar back up as it was lost when the forums were updated. I'd also like to add a signature picture as well. I've followed the information in the Guides here on the site for uploading Avatars, but I am still unsuccessful in my attempts.
I am using ImageShack to upload a photo of the appropriate size for my Avatar, and then copying the URL and pasting it into the edit Avatar box. I upload it, and nothing happens. Following same steps for signature picture and getting the same results.
Is there some trick I am missing here? Do I have to modifiy the URL code that I cut and paste?
Any help would be appreciated.
