5 new "enhancements" on all of my new characters?

What are these enhancements that I'm getting with each of my new characters?

they are a Paragon Reward. I believe they are the same Going Rogue Pre-Order Enhancements.

If you look they are a tier 7 reward.

They're actually pretty good for lowbies. Even though they look like TO's they act more like IO's in that they never expire. And they're about as powerful as DO's, except more so because they're dual aspect.

Edit: in other words, each one is roughly the equivalent of one damage DO plus one recharge DO.

"Pretty good" nothin', my lowbie characters' attacks are noticeably more effective post-i21. Between these and the sewer trial buffs, I've even foregone Yin-Os this time 'round!

Actually they sort of expire.

They have three effects: Damage, Recharge, and a proc. The damage and recharge are around a +1 or +2 DO in strength. Then you get a proc. But the proc stops working around level 21. By the time you get to 22 and can get SOs they stop being all that useful and I just eliminated them on my new chars by putting SOs on top of them.

They are however amazingly powerful and useful. For low level characters they let your actual powers do enough damage and recharge fast enough that you won't even bother with things like the Nemesis Staff. Which used to be the main power in my lowbie attack chain.

Except for the fact that they are all damage enhancements that can't be slotted right away because you have nowhere to put them and unless you buy an extra enhancement tray from the Paragon Market they take up half of your enhancement slots

What will you ever do if you can't get those level 3 range TO drops?

If I already have the enhancements because I pre-ordered will I get two of each when I take this reward?

No, it will just auto-fill in the appropriate Reward spot on the Reward Tree.

Also only brand new characters get them.

Put them in WW/BM without a bid*. Email them to your global.* There are ways.

*Caveat's apply. Don't use email for storage. Items sitting in WW/BM for too long can go bye bye.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Not to mention you can get up to 5 SO's per sewer trial run.

I think you mean the SO's you get doing Sewer Trial runs.

I think the bigger concern is the SOs that seem to be dropping like rain in the tropics on lower levels.

I don't believe you can trade/email these.

I like how Sewer Trial SOs are only good for the duration of the next Sewer Trial run, after which you've probably outleveled them.

NOR-RAD - 50 Rad/Rad/Elec Defender - Nikki Stryker - 50 DM/SR/Weap Scrapper - Iron Marauder - 50 Eng/Eng/Pow Blaster
Lion of Might - 50 SS/Inv/Eng Tanker - Darling Nikkee - 50 (+3) StJ/WP/Eng Brute - Ice Giant Kurg - 36 Ice/Storm Controller

You could try slotting them... It's not like you get 10 at once.

Also if you're doing back-to-back trials you're going to outlevel them in about... 10 minutes.

I don't even bother slotting things (except the new enhancements) until levels 12, 17, and 22. Especially if I'm going to be zipping through levels anyway.

I appreciate your attempt to help Tex but your suggestions won't work.

You see those 5 enhancements are untradeable and as such cannot be placed in a WW/BM slot or attached to an email. They are bound to each individual character and can only be used by that character or deleted.

And even if they could be attached to an email, characters can't use email's until they are level 10.

So as I said earlier the only option open to minimize their taking up too many slots is to buy the extra enhancement trays.

I thought you were an experienced enough player to know that we can turn off our exp under Options. Players do this all the time when they don't want to outlevel content and farm things like the new SO's in the new Sewer Trial.

Unless they changed it - older characters can get them by switching to a new (lvl 1) build. It sometimes takes a few minutes, but you have 15 (20?) before you can switch back to a leveled/slotted build anyway.

(I tend to use this trick to put one of them in brawl)

This is probably the strangest insult I've ever received here on the forums. I'll leave you to it if that's, uh, really what you're going to do. I still don't see what makes you incapable of slotting or deleting SOs as you go though. Unless your income relies on selling level 4 SOs. But you only get 5 per run anyway, and you easily have 5 open slots (less if you actually use them, and if you aren't using them then why do you care?)...

Dispari you know this game has plenty of farmers that will want to farm those SO's for sale rather than use them on their own characters, and there will be just as many gotta-have-it-now players that will want to buy those SO's rather than earn them by running the trial themselves. The fact that they will outlevel them won't even cross their minds.

I'm sure those people exist on some level, but I can't honestly say I know anyone who would take the time to put SOs on a character that low in level. You're just going to outlevel them as soon as you have exp turned on. There aren't that many low level arcs to make the effort worthwhile. And it's not like you even need them for level 5 arcs.

And... the new enhancements are better for low level characters anyway.

I stand corrected. Thank you. I had my head in a dark smelly orifice apparently.

But please, I prefer TJ or Texas Justice, or Texas if you must. Tex is a redname. I think he may do vanity searches. Almost every time I say his name in a post in the Tech forums he comes into the thread and replies.

Either that, or Tex is stalking my posts.

Oh yeah, I forgot about our redname by the same moniker. I always think of the RedvsBlue character. In the future I'll try to remember to use TJ. Please forgive any slips due to my CRS. It gets worse as I get older.
