Quote:Because Time Manipulation is currently 50% off and may not be by the time a VIP player goes premium. Why not just wait until your account goes premium and then buy it?
Alternate patchwork solution: let your account briefly go premium before the sale ends (assuming you pay a month at a time, this should be doable), buy Time Manip at 50% off, then resub. Not the best solution and it won't work for everyone, but it's an option at least. -
Also, you don't need to claim any of the consumables in Tier 9, you can jump straight to Tier 9 VIP.

Quote:Try /releasepets.Great constructive post there Bro. I think you are confused as to who looks like the jerk (I'll give you a hint, try a mirror). Clearly you don't even PLAY an MM, or you would know that dismissing the pets does not fix the bug. It removes them from your pet window, but not the game. Even logging off and back on does not always fix it.

Quote:Shame you didn't keep mum about it and silently PM a dev about the exploit, you might have been able to get the Bug Hunter badge. It isn't broken - it was changed because I explained in a post how it was open for exploit because it takes less than an hour to get to 10 - you run 2 of the SSA and now in an hour or so you can indefinately get 2 hero merits over and over again.
The Moderators found this less than amusing and the Devs patched the flaw. I wasn't trying to encourage and exploit - I was showing that thinking outside of the box can let you see how a potential problem could occur.
A serious farmer would just level to 10 - get the merits and cash in - delete and do it again.
Now it is fixed. -

Quote:When I purchase a product that has stopped working properly, I don't hang around waiting for a fix that may never come, nor do I try to fix it myself. I ditch it and find something that works better.Zwillinger addressed this in one of the chats sometime around the release of Freedom. IIRC from what he said it's a known bug from the company who makes the forum software. Since they haven't released a fix, Paragon doesn't have one either.
They could try to hack it and fix it, but there's no guarantee it won't break something else. They don't replace it because the man-hours involved, and the potential for lost posts. (And there are some good posts worth keeping around. Guides and such.)
So, with everything involved, they are waiting for an official fix. -
There was a thread about it recently and people claimed that it was still possible. Last time I did it (a while ago), there was a door on Rikti Monkey Island in Peregrine that is partially buried in land. If you log out near the door, then log back in, your character will exit the door and get stuck in the land. Typing /stuck puts you underneath the map and from there you can fly to the blue room (it's under the Arena).

On my list of current frustrations this problem is somewhere near (but not at) the bottom.
BUT COME ON. -
This is getting out of hand. I can't even stay logged in for a few hours now. If I dare remain inactive I get logged out the next time I visit. vBulletin is broken beyond hell and approaching worthless.
Lock this thread, hell nuke it from orbit for all I care, just fix the friggin' thing. -
I hear the week of Thanksgiving they're going to offer the Turkey Volume Guessing Kit.

Quote:Have you played any redside content? There's all sorts of in-fighting going on within Arachnos, and not everyone in the organization is too pleased with the "Destined Ones" and their special status that they didn't have to work for.I think you've missed the point of the entire post here. Having an arachnos symbol as the 'symbol' for villains implies we are associated with/to arachnos. It is more is a theme complaint than actual look of the logo. The arachnos logo is cool looking and all but being tied to them isn't something I think is necessary. Also, if you're arachnos why are you always attacked by arachnos NPCs in various villain zones?
-
Quote:Really? I can see that in Atlas maybe, but there's plenty of other zones that are less crowded. No offense but I'd really hate it if the trainers also did respecs. All too often it's a pain in the pancake to get thru the mob of people surrounding the trainers now, and having a crowd of players standing there for god knows how long doing respecs would be unbearable.
At any rate, regardless of whether the contact is a trainer or a new person entirely, there should definitely be a few more NPCs who can handle respecs. -
-
However, it does allow you to control which respec you use, which is good because freespecs don't stack.
Honestly, it would have made more sense to make trainers also into respec contacts, rather than tailors. I guess you could load that functionality into them as well, though, but then their menus might start to get bloated. -
What about that annoying Statesman's star symbol for heroes? Maybe my hero doesn't WANT to be "Statesman's Pal".
In case you couldn't tell, that was sarcasm. It's just a symbol. It doesn't imply anything about your character besides their general alignment. -
Login bug went away for a few days, but now it's back with a vengeance. Was logged out when I came to the board this morning (well, afternoon), logged back in, went away for a couple hours, then came back to find myself logged out AGAIN.

The theme from The Adventures of Superman is conspicuously and bizarrely absent.
And no Batman: TAS??? What manner of demonry is this?! -

I can't believe the universe is ending, this is an outrage!!

Seems like it would be easier to just roll a new alt.

Quote:I've got to be entirely honest. I loved Iron Man, and Robert Downey Jr.'s performance, but this is really a pretty accurate summation of that movie as well.
But Indian entertainment website Rediff Movies branded the film "Shah Rukh Khan's most expensive midlife crisis", describing the story as "one long disjoined chain of events" with the "sole purpose of being able to show the (almost) 46-year-old actor performing some breathtaking stunts".
Also, this:
Quote:Initial reviews praised the film's ambitious special effects, but said the plot was underwhelming.
