Play another Char in Architect Entertainment
An interesting concept, but how would you suggest they handle powers? Switching the player's costume to look like what you want works fine for that aspect, but if your origin story tells the story of a fire/fire tanker and it's being played by an ice/ice blaster... Well, things aren't going to really match up if you reference your powers in the story.
Perhaps it could be handled like the Villain version of the first SSA where you get a few of Synapse's powers, but then the player would have all of their powers and some of "yours". In any case, it would be interesting to have selectable temp power "packs" to give to players while they play a mission.

i think it would be cool to play through as a dev created character, they could always make it grant you a bunch of temp powers of the powers the standard baddy has and you would just use your current costume and such (or it could also grant you a power which was costume change thing), but that wuold be a lot of work to include everything unless it was only for big name stuff like AVs
It would be really cool if we could choose NPC's to have the person play as. Have the ae assign temp powers based on the NPC and lock out all the players normal powers. Even better would be allowing us to be GM's and have destructable buildings a la mayhem missions.
Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.
I'd like to be able to change the player character to a different character in the AE so that if I have an origin story or a story that focuses around a certain character so I can make the player play through as a given character...
