VIPs Purchasing "Free" Power Sets In Paragon Market

I'm pretty sure Time Manipulation isn't free for VIPs, if you have it you bought it before.

I agree with this. But add a very obvious warning/confirmation box when you try to buy something free to VIPs when you're still on a VIP subscription. In other words, make it possible to buy, but make it difficult to buy by accident.
Why not just wait until your account goes premium and then buy it?

Alternate patchwork solution: let your account briefly go premium before the sale ends (assuming you pay a month at a time, this should be doable), buy Time Manip at 50% off, then resub. Not the best solution and it won't work for everyone, but it's an option at least.
