In short, yes, you will need to either re-roll your characters or purchase character slots for the new server.
So yes, the only options I see that the OP has are to:
1) buy character slots for the server the characters were transferred to,
2) use the unlocked slots on the old server, making new characters or transferring characters back into them, or
3) be VIP and not need to deal with unlocking slots at all -
I would like to see the option for VIPs to purchase Power Sets that are given to them for free as VIPs, but that they may not own. When I noticed Time Manipulation went on sale, I jumped online to try to purchase it since I knew my account would be going Premium soon, but found that I did not have the option since my VIP account already has access to the power set.
Maybe for features that are auto-enabled for VIPs, the buy button could be different, or require extra confirmation, so VIP players that miss the bright yellow note in the description don't accidentally buy something they don't need to buy, but it would be great to still have the option for players who are unable to keep VIP status 100% of the time. -

Having to spend a slot on keeping knockback would have consequences for an Invention build.
Its more than a matter of style; being able to push enemies back into Volcanic Gas, Earthquake and Quicksand is important for a competent Earth/Energy Dominator. -
If they do anything to address the knockback "problem," I hope it's optional, like adding -KB enhancements that would turn knockback into knockdown when slotted in a power. All I know is that my Energy/Energy blaster (the only blaster I enjoy soloing) would stop being fun if my knockback was taken away. =/

The only thing that keeps my altitis in check is the fact that my preferred server (Victory) is full of characters I like too much to delete for new alts and I don't want to buy more character slots.
Most of them are between levels 10 and 16 though, and I haven't picked any Fitness powers for any of them anyways. I am still looking forward to I19 whenever it is released though. -

The Kitsune Clan is looking for any and all very casual players interested in joining a relatively new supergroup. Our main goals are to meet new people and have fun while building up our group, so we have no major expectations of our members aside from being friendly and respectful of others.
