  3. Nope. It's an oft-requested weapon, though.

  5. Oh yes, that too, although that's really an incidental disadvantage since it counterbalances the benefit of being able to play both sides with only having access to one Ouro, and as long as you remember this fact consistently (lol), it's not too big of a hassle.

I guess it also bears mentioning that Rogues cannot participate in CoP trials run by Hero SGs, and Vigilantes cannot participate in CoP trials run by Villain SGs, so that benefit is nonexistent for that particular content.
  6. No Hero/Villain Merits or access to Fort Trident/The Crucible (these are not necessarily the same thing, as each zone contains mildly convenient direct teleports to signature TF contacts). Also, the Hero/Villain alignment powers (Call to Battle and Frenzy, respectively) are better than the Vigilante/Rogue powers (Fear Incarnate and Duplicity, respectively), IMHO.

It also gives the impression to others that you're a wishy-washy superbeing that can't make up their mind.

I think someone in the writing department needs to go back to school and learn what the damn meaning of SUSPENSE is. Not to mention SURPRISE. And NOT GIVING THE PLOT AWAY...Sheesh.
It's not the fault of the writing department that the game is marketed terribly.
  8. You should get the dialog box up again asking you to queue (or decline) once the league leader has queued the league up, but I've seen people saying that it can be bugged and not show up for some people.

All I can say is if this show is as good as people here say it is then it has at least completely failed in the "encouraging new people to watch it" department. That's probably why it's going to get cancelled no matter how good it is. *shrugs*
You're blaming the show for the network's advertising decisions. A network that has historically made poor programming decisions and has been in the toilet since Friends finally got its unfunny hinder off the air.
  13. No to changing old Master badge requirements.

    HOWEVER

They could unveil a whole new set of badges, call it "Incarnate of", where your Incarnate abilities are actually disabled, with all the rest of the Master requirements. (And obviously these versions of the TFs would require you to be no lower than level 50, and probably be VIP too.)

    OR

Have an Incarnate-level difficulty option for these TFs, which doesn't disable your Incarnate powers but instead raises the difficulty of the enemies (+4, minimum), maybe even give a level shift to the final AV, again alongside the requirements of No Temps and No Deaths. ("Incarnate of X Task Force" would make a little more sense for this since you're actually be using your Incarnate powers.)

  16. With that grievance aired, I love the fact sheets for the costume sets, these need to accompany every new costume set.
  17. So basically you're not going to tell us at all when Celestial is going away, you're just gonna let them sit until you pull the rug out from under us in a few months.

    Nice.

But, again, no one's calling video game character's "cartoons", so saying it's just a shortening of that is nonsense. No one has EVER used the "long version". As I said before, they're not calling them "short for Cartoon". They're specifically calling them "toons". Which is a term that previously applied to a very specific type of cartoon character. It's not that we're ascribing meaning that doesn't exist. It's that you are refusing to accept meaning that DOES exist.
It's an antiquated meaning that's no longer relevant, so yes I quite happy dismiss it.

  20. I think you're reading way too much into things. A bug was reported, so they fixed it. They don't just leave stuff unfixed if it's not exploitable (okay, sometimes they do, but mostly when it's low priority stuff). The badge was not WAI, now it is WAI.

Not every single issue that is known to the devs is on the (visible to players) Known Issues list because they shouldn't be, the list would be enormous. And not ever single tiny little bug fix makes it into the patch notes either, even if it's not an exploit.

Roger Rabbit was never quite a kid's movie. I mean, it was, but it was sufficiently adult that it could never be considered "kid's stuff".

Again, you are ascribing meaning where none exists. Cartoons are a medium. That's it. You don't see people going around saying "Don't call the Mona Lisa a painting, that diminishes it."

And yes, video games and comics are indeed considered for children by the vast majority of people who don't play/read them. But I believe they are considered a children's pasttime even by many of the adults who do play/read them just the same. Just because they participate as adults doesn't mean they think of the activity as any less juvenile, or are any less prone to apply juvenile-sounding terminology.
You know what my reply is to this? WHO. CARES. Seriously. Why do you care what people who don't like the things you do think? [CLUNKY SENTENCE OFF THE PORT BOW, CAPTAIN!]

And why do you assume that I view video games and comics as juvenile just because I refer to them as cartoons? Again, you are ascribing beliefs to me for no reason whatsoever other than your own biases, that I must believe X because I use the word Y. A favorite comedian of mine, Louis CK, uses pretty much every single vulgar word, ever. Literally all of the vulgar words. But he's not a racist, not a homophobe. He uses those words for a very calculated reason, it's just not the reason you might think it is based on what you expect when you hear the words.

Flying Shark, because of the image that the badge text conjurs.

All of The Chantry's exploration badges, again because of the badge text/

    Got it.
I can't figure out a way to respond to this that doesn't end with me viciously insulting you so I'm just gonna say "yes" and leave it at that.

Shortening a different word to refer to characters wouldn't be met with so much opposition: "char" or "av" ( for "avatar"). "Alt"/"main" tends to work as well
Again, you're the only attaching a childish image to a word that doesn't carry that meaning. I don't view cartoons as being for children, so I have no problem referring to something that is animated as a cartoon. As far as video games not being cartoons (as someone else said; don't feel like quoting it), that is true, but comics are basically cartoons, and have been animated countless times.

Good grief this argument is dumb. Every time I think I've partaken in the dumbest argument ever, I somehow manage to end up in one that's even more stupid.
