Saem cast of characters on the Playground and Pinnbadges.

I have them both up and it's usually easy to grab a TF. Sometimes you have to *gasp* start the one you want/need yourself, but it gets done.

Working on it. Plus gonna get some om my Vils blue side to infiltrate.

I'm currently working on soft capping my Ice/Energy/Ice build for ranged defense. Working on it as in...

Looking at sets to see the cost.

I like the idea, in theory.

Recharge.

I have (almost) five pruple sets which give rechage, five of the 6.2% recharge sets, and five of the 5% recharge sets. Now, an Alpha for recharge. With Hasten up almost permanently, nukes, self rez, aim etc are always back up after a fight.

Downtime = less damage.

Waiting for self rez = less damage.

No Build up or Aim = much less damage.

Plus, with Ice/Energy, I can have conserve power up most of the time. I can spam frost breath and ice storm. My three holds are always up. And mt ST damage goes through the roof.

Damage? Even my tier 1 does more damage than 50% damage bonus on my tier 3. More attacks offer superior damage.

It's been a year since I've been here. And I don't know what the heck I'm doing anymore. Naturally, my SG released me. I don't know if I'm a hero or a rogue or a batton or an eggplant. I'm not even sure what an incarnate is.

But I know one thing...

No, not those pointers!

I have a level 32 Rad/Rad defender. Help me out here and suggest some neat tricks I can use now or in the future (later levels). It seems that I run into three common problems:

1. I set up my anchors and people know not to touch it, but then I have very little else to do except tiny orange numbers.
2. I set up my anchors and the people don't know not to touch it (even after being told) and so I stop debuffing and do measly orange numbers.
3. I set up my anchors and the beastie or beasties with the debuff aoe on them hide outside the main cluster of baddies, so I slap them into place with the old Nemesis staff, then proceed to do nano orange numbers.

I know I'm not a blaster or a tank. I'm support. I know I chose this set as a debuffer for AVs. But is there anything.... anything else to this combo? Did I miss something in the guides? Am I just defender disabled? Seems that I am so passive.

Anyone with some experience in the Rad/Rad department that can lend me a few neat tricks? Almost every other combo has a little golden ticket hidden in there somewhere. There's gotta be one for Rad/Rad... Right?

I'll never get past the character creator now. It was bad enough trying to settle on a color theme for my costumes. Now, I have to make REALLY important decisions that could affect my character's entire concept like, 'What color should his/her powers be...?'

For instance, let's say Energy Melee. What color do I wanna punch people's face in with? White, like a hot white flash of pain? Black like the darkness of a decending unconsciousness? Red like blood?

And let's say I chose red. Now, how does this color work with my costume colors?

It's too much. Close the box. Close the box! Before it's too late!

If CoH was a stand alone 1 player game, I would have felt the grind a long time ago. BUT, since there are other people to talk to and team with and try out new combos with and trade stuff with and build bases with etc etc etc...

I don't find any of it much of a grind.

With some other MMOs, you'd be very limited in the sheer number of alts you can create. There's always a new combo to try and they keep adding more.

As far as written story content goes.... eh. I've seen a lot of it before. But MA, when sifted through, has some fun and novel stuff to do.

I'm all for the latest wave of discussing what should be done and how to play and whatnot, but I don't play this game purely for in game reasons.

I play it mostly because the silly people I meet and team with crack me up and I have a blast with the whole team dynamic thing.

If I'm on and I even get a sniff of boredom, I go watch TV. That sure ends the grind right there.

Break time.

It's tough when you're part of a good SG/VG, but if they're cool, they'll understand taking a break.

I love City of Heroes.

I don't agree. DOOOOOOM is ruining this game. Ruining the way I play this game. Ruining my enjoyment of this game. Ruining my drug induced, faceplanting hillarious, foul mouthed enjoyment of this game.

DEVs, please remove DOOOOOOM from the game.

Frost Breath is my Low Nuke on Ice. Aim the cone right, hit aim and build up, and whooooosh... lots of stuff below half HP.

Add in Ice Storm.... It's close to a crashless nuke and I still get Blizzard.

Another baby nuke ON TOP of that? I'd love it, but it would be way out of balance...

Not game instead of girlfriend. Its more, game instead of THAT girlfriend. There are lots of women out there who are ok with thier guys spending a few nights a week playing mmos. Not to mention there are even some who play the mmos with thier guy. My wife for example, plays this game with me. She even got to 50 before I did.

I told my wife that if she wants me to spend more time with her, less time on CoH, it had to be mutual and she had to give up her hour of facebook, 2 hours of phone calls, 2 hours of TV (Real Housewives Marathons) and her shopping trips with her mom that take her away all day.

Then she realized that we spend a lot of time together already and that if I stopped playing, she'd need to agree to complex TV schedules and she'd have no Facebook etc etc.

So now we spend 2 hours having a nice dinner and a little Law and Order, then we spend 3 hours on our seperate activities.

But man was that a weird few days!

If you have reasonable expectation that said item will return to the price your selling for, buy more while they're dropping.

Let's use and example of a fictional item based on an item I buy and sell all the time. We'll call it a Rupie. Sometimes they sell for 50,000. But that's not reasonable. I have however known them to sell for 5 to six hours at 10,000 easy.

So one day last week I log on to find all of my buy orderes filled at 4,000. Ahhhh, happy. BUT, the last transactions were all below 500!!!! YIKES right? Naw.

I pocketed all my 4k buys for the moment and bid 10 at 100, 10 at 200, 10 at 222, 10 at 444, 10 at etc etc etc up to 10 at 4000 again. I had one slot open to do the sells.

Well, all my buy orderers filled, buying out whoever had the ridiculous lowball inventory (turned out to be over 30 of them) and then... 10,000, 10,000, 10,000 price was back up.

Now, I had a new inventory to sell at 5000 and my old at 10,000. Put them all up at a nice round 8,888.

Not always fullproof, but can work.

I say let the players at least have the option to play one character per account and one building. I'd like to be that tall one in Steel Canyon. Not the tallest one, but that one that's like, fifth tallest.
