  1. Dual Pistols and Dual Blades meet for fightclub in zones (because there is no arena apparently). Which of the gimps comes out on top?
  2. What's good enough for you
    Is good enough for me
    It's good enough
    It's good enough for me
    Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
  3. Powers that degrade just because you can't play for a while? No thanks!
  4. Yes, people like Commando will be quite surprised when their Stalkers start getting smacked around at will by VEATs due to general ignorance of VEAT perception. Most amusing when GR first hits, then people will acclimate. Stalkers' lives will remain much more difficult than currently, though.

Question on that VEAT perception though: any way to self-cap it? Maybe with the aid of an empowerment station?

    So Kinetic Melee

Good point. At the very least the Stalker version will most likely get buildup (ala Stalker DM and DB). So Stalkers may have a new PvP set with this, but they stand alone in that regard. But the simple presence of Buildup does not guarantee a good PvP Stalker set (DB).

It just looks like there's a trend where the devs design sets without any regard whatsoever to PvP. If it fits PvP at all, it's seemingly by accident. Oh well, this is a carebear game after all. New set to farm Behemoths at least.
  6. The Archetype you're looking for is a Blaster, as they rule the AOE and damage roost. Look into the Blaster forum for specific Blaster advice.

If you want to learn how to make Inf' reliably, look into the market forum and read the guides and advice to be found there. The answers may surprise you.

    Welcome to the game!
  7. Doms who bring something other than Mind/? I like it!

VEAT vs. Stalker seems to be the fight everyone is eager for, and for good reason.

The data given along with your comments so far, and your questioning of my being wrong all lead me to think you've gone to the Americas.

So what is your stance on market merge (thought you were for it given your excellent understanding of the market)? I'm in favor of it myself, but if there is a good argument against it, I've an open mind on the subject.
  11. Beating Stalkers with Phase is doing it the hard way. I beat them with the spacebar.

Still, gratz. I +1 you for awesomeness.

Just remember, you don't have to go blueside to fight Stalkers. Hero Stalkers will be around, and probably less practiced than Villain Stalkers.

But let's face it: with GR redside is probably emptying out anyway. The fun Archetypes are going to the side with more stuff and better market. *sigh* Zones will probably end up being 100 Heroes chasing 1 Villain. Fair and balanced.

    I'm wrong then. Good.

    So Kinetic Melee

What are the odds it won't get Buildup? What are the odds it'll be any good in PvP (with its apparently long animations)?

Personally, I'm calling it right now: no Buildup, in the same boat as Scrapper/Tanker/Brute Dark Melee in PvP. I hope I'm wrong.

Forts needed theirs removed maybe, but 10 points of Elusivity on SR does nothing. But that's an argument for a different thread.

The Webnades for Brutes thing is a good point. But does that outweigh the big survivability advantage Tanks enjoy? It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

And yes, I'll probably respec my Bane and NW for max perception to smack around some nooby Stalkers. Heck, even my SR Scrapper can teach nub Stalkers that their stealth is not 100% reliable. VEATs vs. Stalkers is going to be very interesting times.
  16. I wish I could ban people for playing AE.

Come on devs you're being seriously disappointing in your logic right now especially on a set that does not get aim.
No. Roleplayers say the set is fine and I believe them.
  20. How does everyone think GR will affect PvP?

    My predictions:

Super Reflexes will become obsolete even in casual zone play. Right now, only Heroes get Blasters with their Aim+Buildup, so you can kinda get away with SR in zones right now on blueside. Once Aim+Buildup is coming at you from all sides, baring giving SR its Elusivity back, the set is done even in casual zone play.

Brutes are done. Right now Brutes get some work in PvP because they make great fodder, and those who get distracted and attack the Brutes get hammered by Stalkers and other Villain damagers. But why roll a Brute when you can roll a Tanker instead and get lots more survivability on top of what is effectively the same damage? In theory Brutes can get a damage boost from Fury putting them well beyond Tanker levels, but in practice this rarely happens in PvP. Brutes are done in PvP with GR.

Demons, just like Dual Pistols, will be crap in PvP.

    Deliscious Tears

Softcaped Blasters kinda break the PvE game. Blasters get great damage in exchange for squishiness, and softcapping breaks that deal in a big way.

Meanwhile, in PvP, Blasters that get great damage in exchange for squishiness get a free 40% resist to stack up with other Res sources. *boggles*
