All the softcapped pve players are up in arms. I find it funny to read the laments about needing multiple respecs.

http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=214904

Is this a prelude to power normalization between pve and pvp?I know this change really effects pvp players in no way.I don't understand why in the world they would give attention to this io set yet leave everything in this rock, paper, scissors pvp unchanged. My question stands. Do you all think this is possibly the devs laying the groundwork for pvp improvements within the year? Maybe trying to backtrack a bit and put down a small foundation to start rebuilding what they devastated like Hiroshima?

edited to say I didn't spell delicious correctly ;(

P.S. Castle is over there so why don't some of you more eloquent loudmouths hightail it in and ask why are they so concerned with that set but leave so many procs completely broken issue after issue?

Well it does affect players even in the pvp scheme, as it decreases their power leveling toons in effectiveness.

I know a few who use /Shields and this could easily affect those.

he has 150 temp accounts?

But seriously, I agree as well. Castle's post and reasons given make sense however taking 18 months to realize this is "OP" is kinda lolz.

I smell shields nerf..<_<
also i love how he said the reason they nerf it are the prices....lol? i wonder if they ever checked flipping threads...

I saw the name of the thread and said to myself "Why isn't anyone using that for a PvP team name?" Seriously!

As to the OP, I think you might be reading too much into the changes, from an unbiased PoV.

It took them 2 years to realize a controller could spawn more than 1 pet at a time. It took them 5 years to realize that speed boost and inertial reduction give unsuppressed movement.

Both of those things were "unintended" and were "fixed". So something this minor shouldn't be a surprise.

It took them how many years for PSW "fix"...

well at least he basically said they screwed up...don't hear that being admitted too often.

It's pretty obvious that the OPness of this set is SO IMPORTANT that it had to be addressed ASAP.

well I dont care for the change either but I wouldn't call 18 months ASAP, unless of course your being sarcastic I never can tell on the internet.

I'll have to admit, when I saw the thread title: IO Change: Blessing of the Zephyr, I immediately assumed they were setting the knockback resistance to a 3 piece set bonus, instead of a special IO.

Softcaped Blasters kinda break the PvE game. Blasters get great damage in exchange for squishiness, and softcapping breaks that deal in a big way.

Meanwhile, in PvP, Blasters that get great damage in exchange for squishiness get a free 40% resist to stack up with other Res sources. *boggles*
