I would very much like the SG team to get going again too.
Oh and yeah, nice build Night, would take an endred from quills and max out the damage though -
If they give the brute figures the scrapper mark up I'd think that Fire will be damage king in ST and AoE
-
Waity, is that a blaster with Touch Of Fear??! I think I'm in

Although a couple days premature:
Just want to wish you all good luck and hope you get lots of tasty recipes during the TF!
With STF veterans such as MaX and Cyn, you should all fair a lot better than my previous two attempts!
Much love(!)
Capt. Solaris

Missed this one in all the team building trauma, sorry boss.
Nightmarer has the most STF experience I think in the SG and should probably get a mention too. Though in the early ones you rarely heard an opinion from him. He's found his voice these days though -
Its not so much bringing Blizz that poses the problem its the loss of Capts tank, Bris's empath and now your tank with not much time left before Saturday. Well hardly any online time for me at least.
We can move it back till when people are around and run it another time, but I wont be on much tomorrow or at all on Friday to fill those gaps so I propose a postponement at least until we have 8 people with a tank (cause we're not going to find a Sonic for MaX in a hurry and we could end up having to say no to someone else to bring the sonic in.)
If it wasn't this week I'd have the time to search for the people but I knew play time would be short (hence my manic scrabble for inf to IO out Prise De Fer)
We also still dont know about Fusion so I think this weeks not looking great on attendance in general. Can see if we see people online while running the SG team at least but at the moment I'd say it was a no go -

Dual Blades can be a fun power to play. For damage I'd say Spines or Claws. As a secondary I'd say Regen or Willpower because of the increased endurance.
[/ QUOTE ]No bias whatsoever!

two can play the bias game -
You'd be the last tank in the SG at 50 I believe. If we could have had the ice with the two empaths then I'd have been a bit less concerned (AP when ever needed) but we lose one of the empaths.
And I am pretty sure no level 50 sonics in the SG
Could always look into respec recipes
OK Blizz, can buy you a respec recipe, pass it to you in the morning when we all log in for SG teaming and just make sure we stop the SG team earlier enough for you to respec. How's that?

I think a powerboosted Short Circuit is just as effective as Short Circuit + Powersink, it would be close anyway.
Charged Armour is one of the nicest epic shields for Defenders if I remember the number crunching I did a while back
Biggest downside of elec is its missing that lovely short ranged high damage attack (the Cosmic Burst from Rad is an example) -

Wanna duo?
(Also Ice/Cold, Fire/Thermal...Jesus. Superpower Pedantry FTL!)
[/ QUOTE ]
My fire/Thermal is signed up for a duo with MaX (has been since we hit 50 on the scrappers but my half of it got delayed and now changed thanks to I12)
Cold/Dark is in the future for me as my next non-duo with max character will likely be a tank. I dont have a tank at 50 you see, but then I'll making her for sure (have the name on villains so no issues reserving anything) -
Will have to be out of SG (cause we have 3 SG tanks and only two really viable as STF ones without a specific team that we cant build with our alts) so if anyone knows a friendly invul.............. (or stone I guess, or even fire)
-
I agree there, my WP is a constant struggle for agro but the blue and green bars take care of themselves
Ice gets the agro easy and is much more fun for me to play -
I must admit I've been thinkiong of Claws/Fire
-
I am slotted for damage on my DM and dont rely on crits. Claws does deal constantly high damage but DM has higher damage attacks in the set and a big buff in the form of Soul Drain. Once you have midnight grasp you'll probably see things improve as well (the sets work diferently IMO, DM takjes until 34 to mature but Claws matures at lower levels and its 32 power isn't as useful) DM is one of the highest damage primaries for a scrapper (thanks to Soul Drain) but claws is just so good and constant. DM does cost a lot of end compared to most scrapper sets. Is probably why it gets Dark Consumption. Touch Of Fear is the biggest drainer for me but the other powers do sometimes seem harsh. Touch Of Fear is all you need Tohit debuffs in though, one application of that is enough for all your needs and thus lets you go acc, dam, rech and end in the others

DM has to take them down one by one
[/ QUOTE ]Full Fury + Shadow Maul.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats 5, the cone and AoE in fire out do that. If you want to be fighting small numbers or bosses I'd say DM was a great set, if you want to lay everything to waste in seconds then you cant go wrong with fire -

[ QUOTE ]
The reason DM seems to have a lower accuracy than other Scrapper sets is because Shadow Maul has a very long animation which draws attention to the fact that it misses lots as well as a distinctive whiffing sound when you miss with most attacks.
[/ QUOTE ]
Evis has a higher chance to Crit than most scrapper attacks. Katana and MA also have attacks in their sets with the increased chance (but none of the look as nice as Evis)
Could you maybe explain why I get more critical hits off claws then?
[/ QUOTE ] -
Nothing feels as good as a fire melee brute. DM/SR would be nice (its great as a scrapper and with fury built would be very good STDPS), but Fire Melee gets those groups dead fast where as DM has to take them down one by one
-
OK taunt slotting for STF......... making the range over 70 makes GW a walk, otherwise just use it when you can and make the empath earn their spot (need 8 clear minds or to be out of range ideally).
SO builds are fine, have seen them take it fine. The S&L cap is prefered and I dont think epic makes a difference.
The top part is proven, the second paragraph is just an opinion. This is where the STF advice ends.
Having slotted invul on my scrapper I went all HOs for the res powers and sets for the defence ones. The HOs are very expensive but save you slots nicely and IMO the def sets are where the good bonuses are. But thats a scrapper am sure tanks work differently. Slotting res with both SIOs or HOs is more expensive than slotted def, this is why when choosing between another Inv scrapper or another SR I took the SR. -

Howling Twighlight is also a -500% regen in PvE, not sure if that applies PvP side but as its autohit..............
If you weren't after the panic button of Phase Shive I'd just put a stealth IO in CJ or Sprint

Hmm...interesting, interesting.
Not thought about that.

Taking into account you cant heal when Invised or Phased with a DM is why I suggested it -
Good plan there capt
Oh and Night who were you thinking of having tank with the re-ordering of characters? I assume we're speaking nicely to Blizz, but I need to check on who I have to be nice to. I cant be nice to 7 people all week -

Just quickly want to apologise to Capt, worded something badly on team chat today and want to say I'm confident in his tanking it was meant to be more of a little dig than how it cam across.
Now on to other issue
Where the hell was everyone today??! -
Elec is definitely a PvE powerset not a PvP one for a brute in my opinion. If they were to balance it out with other sets the Devs would have to hurt Lightning Rod, which they'd best not. Elec is stupidly good in PvE post 34 (fully slotted LR) and I would think that moving it over to scrappers and tanks would be a good thing but could lead to a nerf on the powerset rather than a buff.
EA is a different story, feels more like a utility set than a defence set. I wouldn't want it to lose its utility to get further defence buffs
Patron sets do suck, you are quite right and their unrespecability is a big downer on them too.
None of these things make me concerned about the powersets that have been moved over.
The only buffs that heroes can stacked that villains cant now is Empathy, that was the same before as now. -
Grats on getting a cheap stalker to 50 (cause they're all cheap you know it)
Edit: please note this is a joke against Stalkers, not an attack on anyone. Am please chels has reached 50, but do not feel the need to smile like a loony when I use sarcasm, who in real life does that??!
