  2. /Arena is just for Arena related issues, always has been but global channels have made that easier.

    For finding a team there are global channels set up for it, same as there is for general chat. And the help channel is obviously for help
  3. Isn't the damage on Mace a bit below that of BA though? Did consider playing a Mace tank cause I think its one of the better looking sets (obviously about a million points behind Stone Melee that looks so much better than the others its unreal)

    The idea of having two holds, even if one it melee and one ranged is quite appealing but a sleep PBAoE for a tank is daft IMO

    I dont have anything other than the damage aura, others hold up herding, could be the difference between level 37 SO and Level 50 IOs I'm noticing though, the Acc at least
  6. EMP is another power which can Crit on a defender, I dont know if there are any more than those two though

    I noticed a difference between Fire and Dark on a brute for the time taken to agro, but this could just be perceived. Fire seems to be very slow in grabbing Agro for me
  8. Cones are good for replacing blapper style combat when fighting foes who explode though, jump out when they're injured and then breath on the Nems

    I used to tow a tank around with my scrapper in I3/4 while he was Auto Taunting. Dont think either of us died from it either, cant remember.

    Sounds simple and hars, but the way i (and friends who i invite to this game) survive pre-SO.. solo and mini-teams (max 2, prefered with healer). Avoid Hollows at all cost, from lvl6 in atlas to KR newspapers and contacts, to steel for DO's and missions to move up to Faultline mainly solo (arachnos psi damage is not funny) or move out to IP. Specialy in teams with a damage dealer (blaster) and a supportive controler (emp, kin, rad, sonic in lesser) its a great way to get around with little attacks and still focus greatly on agro, shields and 'tanking'.

    Done with fire, stone and inv, probably can do it again with Ice.

    Thing is all the other ATs at low levels either want to solo or to have big teams. Soloing for a tank at low levels is on a par with Soloing with a defender, and big teams mean death.

    The grind means its just no fun being a low level tank

    This is actually the reason I keep abandoning my tanks and never get anywhere, every other AT can do its jub from the start of the game, but as a tanker you have to play a gimped scrapper till either 17 or 20 to earn the right to tank

  14. I'm a bit confused as to how having your attacks not slotted for fury will generate fury slower? I was pretty sure its per hit not per damage.
  15. If I were you Inercia I'd drop CE, you stated you dont like being in Melee and as you have Sbhiver anyway its probably of little use.

    Now if I were me, and I am, and I was playing your powersets, I'm not, I'd have CE and not bother with Shiver as I'd be slowing most things most of the time (and I'd slot a damage Proc in it too)

  19. I'm basing my thoughts on RoF on Ice Storm but if the tank actually has the agro I can dish out more with Ice Storm than any other attack I have at the moment.

    I also love being in melee range on all my toons, the only one that it doesn't work with is my Fire/TA which is why she is retired. If I had Fire Ball I'd be slamming it into their faces point blank so I might as well go for the visually impressive FSC and Combustion instead. Am enjoying having blazing Aura too, even though I've only had it for half a level at the moment. Will soon be thinking about control and ST damage, starting with Bitter ice Blast, then worrying about the control. Way I see it they're dead, then they're controlled. But sometimes a couple of ST holds would be really handy so will work on that

  21. Can be on both UK and US servers at the same time at least so you wouldn't have to worry about someone getting it in that 30 seconds
  22. Besides MaX lacks Rain Of Fire, so he is far from "sufficient"
  23. I normally go 1 acc, 1 end, 1 rchg then later 3 damage, but that comes behind the rest of the build. But some powers have different. Lightning Rod has 1 acc, 2 damage, 3 recharge cause recharge is the most important thing in it. Depends on the power
  24. In my opinion /fire is better AoE madness than Fire/ so if you want AoEs and control its better to find a primary with the control and take /fire than go Fire/ and find the AoEs

    This is purely based on what I think is fun and not any hard numbers. Combustion and Fire Sword Circle are lovely, slap on a couple of damage auras, slow them, burn them and get back your used end. Of course none of the above would be half as fun without Ice Storm
