Ignore it, it'll go away on migration.

I'd suggest doing a file check from the launcher.

Does this mean there is a chance I'll be spending more money at the NCsoft store then?
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't quote me on anything, this is my first update with NCsoft, I'm still a noob at it. Of course if you want the booster pack, prepare to spend money on it in the near future. -

The_Finnish was right, just a new logo

A bit strange if it's just for a logo considering the file size of the download. If it turns out not to be I15 or even the Super Science Booster stuff going live, perhaps it's downloading the files in preparation of one or both of them going live? -
Ok, well I meant good to see people's launchers are now connecting. Shouldn't be long before the Auth and world servers are back up, then we'll see if it was I15 that was the cause of the downtime.

Just trying to pass the time while patching, Globey, sheesh..

No, these are his forums, do as you're told -
Was experiencing this over lunch. Test Server launcher worked ok so wasn't too worried about it being an issue on my side, good to see things back up though. Shame I'm back in work!

I will quote this once.

And I will quote this quote once.
(Especially for costume 'Rocketboot' style jetpacks) -
Getting detached for 4 months soon so it's a little pointless for me to apply. Perhaps after the Xmas holidays I'll apply.
-
Nope, just had a look on my characters on the test server and none of the new bits and bobs are available for me.

I'm sure the Dev's would be able to create an appropriate 'outside' which can be seen through the windows if they were to go with the zone idea. As to what that outside would be.. well they have the background story of the MA company to play with.
-
Personally, I'm looking forward to this. I'm hoping that the board software will be either different or at least working properly because its pants right now. Search function is rubbish and quote boxes should have who your quoting noted etc.. Also hoping for graphic sigs as at least a small graphic breaks up the walls of text.
Also I'd like to see Dev posts first hand rather than have to rely on others to trawl through the US forums and relay them here.

I think you might be missing the point here, look at the last 2 boosters... we had Aura's with the first one, and then got them in game, costume change emotes with the next one and now they are in game. I would expect I16, or maybe 17 to introduce this to everyone.
Although it doesn't work as well as the other 2 did because there aren't extra options like there were with the costume change and auras.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is something i could see them doing and while it wouldn't bother me i know some people would complain that they had paid for something and now it was free.
The thing to remember is even tho this is a old idea I get the impression that its the fact that it is going to generate extra cash as part of the booster pack that got it the green light i think its quite likely that if this wasn't included in the booster pack we wouldn't see this feature for several issues.
[/ QUOTE ]
While I can see what your talking about with CC emotes and auras, how would the body change ability be given to people who haven't bought the pack without devaluing the booster pack itself? Perhaps an accolade badge, like the Pocket D VIP badge, one which perhaps allows the gender/model type/size change to be free/permanently discounted? Perhaps it would give a transport to tailor ability a la Pocket D/Wentworth/Black Market etc.. Although if a badge was given out similar to the Pocket D badge, I'd suggest then that each booster pack come with a badge.
The ability to change body size or not is not game breaking. People have been playing since the start without having it and people will continue to do so. It's a desirable thing, absolutely, much like other packs had desirable things in. If you want the ability to change body size with a costume change, buy the pack just like those who want the self destruct ability or the lightning change emote have to purchase the other booster packs.
Could it have been included with a free issue? Sure, should it have been? Not necessarily. -
They weren't lying when they said it'd be short preview!
Seems like good stuff. More diversity (and yes the inevitable ripoffs). -

Simple answer that i don't think anyone has suggested. Make MA a zone itself. Sort of like Midnighters club (MA is bigger that that tiny place so i don't see it being a problem)
You click on the door (like Midnighters) and LOAD into the MA building instead of just entering it.
It'll stop the spam in the lower level zones.
It'll be eaiser to impliment a level restrition if the devs choose to do so.
It'll stop confusing chat with some people wanting MA and some people wanting normal missions etc.
It'll mean new players don't see an easy option to level as soon as they enter the game.
I would say however that unlike the midnighters club, they won't join together.
So if you type /sea on heroes they'll be
Atlas Park Mission Architect
Steel Canyonn Mission Architect
etc etc
Personally i just use RWZ to powerlevel all my new charactors anyway.

Best idea here.
making the AE buildings into a seperate zone will stop the whole area getting spammed with /LFFT (solving a few issues) without causing any problems for those that do want to head right to AE and ignore the rest of the game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I like the zone idea but what's wrong with having it as a single zone with a setup like Pocket D or Midnighter's (Each MA building loads into the one zone and the MA exit doors are marked to where you'll end up)? Broadcasts for teams would reach everyone in the zone and you could also have Villains and Heroes in the same building teaming with each other.. -
I approve of this idea, account wide would be cool but even if it's only a small, character specific lair, perhaps not on the same size scale as SG bases but certainly somewhere to keep stuff, wouold be ok.
I'd even go so far as suggesting it be just a couple of rooms max and no teleporters except for the exit or to your SG base with an option for open access (for your SG members and coalition members) SG access (SG members only) or private.
Just my 2p. -
If I can change the colour of my Superspeed to blue for my Ice blaster.. I'll be happy. (Mind you put in a way to get prestige powerslide or similar that doesn't require searching ebay for the right game code and I'll be happy too).

So i have to do another 50 as a Spider or run round like a breast GREAT just GREAT !!!!
No point in Builds 1 & 2 if u ask me !
[/ QUOTE ]
Perhaps you'd require some sports support clothing then, especially if your character is a large breast...
And builds are good for changing between PvE abilities and PvP abilities or if a certain zone is easier to navigate by flight rather than your preferred travel power etc. -

You only need to stand in Atlas for a few minutes to get an idea of what brand new players must think;
"Hmm, wonder what this games like?"
"Lvl 1 LFFT"
"Lvl 47 LFFT"
"Farm LFM, Empath wanted, No tanks"
"...I guess I found out."
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, that's what I thought and if there was another decent non-elf/fairy/dwarf etc.. MMO out there I'd have probably checked that out instead.
In the first half hour of my first time logging in on the blue side I saw almost constant broadcasts requesting teams, I got several tells asking for teams and a few blind team requests. It can be quite off putting especially when I had to re-acquaint myself with how to do even the simplest of actions.
Imho, I agree with the OP except the red side, I didn't and still don't see very much farming broadcasts in mercy, but I see a lot in Atlas and Galaxy. However, if it has to be uniform or fair, removing the AE building from Mercy wouldn't be much of an issue tbh, a level 1 who knows what they are doing (so not new players) can get to Cap quite easily without dying on the way.
The only argument I can think of against this idea is that the MA system is advertised as something new and innovative to MMO's and is a selling point, would subs suffer if those people wanting to use it straight out of the bag couldn't get to it? In all honesty though getting to adjacent zones and by doing so learning the basics of the game doesn't take too long at all and would provide for better mission creating, imo. -
You know when you play too much CoX when...
