Emailing in-game

Does anybody actually use the emailing feature (in-game)? I just send an offline message, tbh.

I predict that using the in-game email you can include more text, but even then I'd just send more than one offline message to include it all.

I'm using the term "offline message" a lot since the email system is designed for sending a player an offline message.

Even then, that only sends it to the player rather than than their global; which is a major advantage to sending a offline message rather than a email.

I tend to use the e-mail feature for organising stuff like competitions and prizes and everything between other organisers. Know for a fact other people use it for that purpose too.

Also supergroups use it to send messages to their members about the sg uniform/sg rules/upcoming sg events etc.

The only downside to the email system is that it isnt global based but character based.

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

I mainly posted this since I've never needed to use the email feature.

As you mentioned, it'd be a whole lot easier to keep things organised. That's a very useful aspect that the email feature provides which I didn't take into account with my previous post

Somebody used the email to send me a recipe for a killer chocolate fudge cake, recently. Much easier than it getting lost in a sea of text and tells.

However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator

I use the in-game email system a lot, but find the character cap very frustrating, as you can't copy-paste any text either from received emails nor from to-be-sent, meaning if you go over the limit and try to send, it tells you to remove a number of keystrokes meaning you have to either remember what you wanted to put or copy into a non in-game email system.

I use the e-mail system now and then, to send messages to myself to other characters. Being a forgetful beast, planning a SF is made all the more easy if I can e-mail myself a list of attendants

I've had someone send a list from Paragon Wiki while doing a TF, stopped all the questions of, How many more missions are there. and it let us all know what was expected in each mission (Kill all, clicky, etc.)

Used it to paste a copy of my lead villains powerlist/spec all the way to lvl 50, helps me get the right power every few levels to match my planned spec.

handy little tip that. Not rocket science, but not something i'd thought of. Cheers!

I only use it to report spam, only get spam in my inbox.

If only they add a transfer influence/infamy account-wise option, i would start using it. (in-account transfer currently is a plain nightmare).
