Quote:And I'm calling you an idiot for acting stupid. And for being a troll.Hey liar, I called him a liar for lying. Exactly as I'm doing for you now. Never did I call him a liar for making a suggestion. Again, get stuffed. Liars are scum. It amuses me how scum like you three gather together so easily.
Seriously, you call anyone who disagrees with you a liar? I guess this means every word from your mouth is the absolute truth. What's it like to be God?
If you're the best that Ultimo has to put up with, I don't think he has anything to worry about.
Oh yeah, and you've challenged my honor by falsely calling me a liar. This makes you a liar. And a hypocrite 'cause you hate liars but you don't hate yourself. Pistols at dawn, etc. -
The forums are not a good indicator of the thoughts and feelings of the majority of the players. As evidenced by the overreaction of, ahem, certain people, going so far as to call you a liar for merely making a suggestion, it's no wonder that the devs themselves do their own research and mine the data on their own whenever they plan to make a change instead of solely relying on anything anyone ever said here.
Be that as it may, your detractors do have a point in that this game is not a first person shooter. Anyone trying to treat it as such will very likely get bored with it and move on to something else. -

Quote:Doesn't it matter what he may be lying about? Isn't there a difference between making a falsehood with regards to a videogame, and... say, hiding an extramarital affair? Both involve lying, but I would call your sense of perspective into question if you thought there was no difference between those two.I think your opinion on my reaction to liars means absolutely nothing to me.
And seriously, if you're acting this way towards someone on the Internet whom you've never even met (as far as I know, or is there something going on here between you two that I'm not aware of?), then gods forbid that anything really important happen to you; you'll have a freaking stroke or something.
As well, what proof do you have that Ultimo is lying? So far I've seen no sign of that. Just because you disagree with him, however vehemently, doesn't necessarily mean that he's lying. That would imply that he actually doesn't believe what he's saying, at either rate, and that certainly doesn't seem to be the case, either. -

Quote:I don't actually care, for the record. I'm only posting here right now because I'm bored out of my mind.Well, after a little tally (ignoring distinctions such as level range), I count 26 people that agree that there may be an issue to look at, and 26 that disagree.
50%. Is that an insignificant number?
I think the lot of you could use a great big dose of perspective.
EDIT: That Tea Partying tagger in particular! -
Quote:You have disgust for someone who has a differing opinion of you on a videogame?BS like "I've seen a grand total of 5 other characters in the last couple of weeks, on several servers" does nothing but exacerbate the ever growing disgust I have for people like you.
Seriously? -

Quote:Are you French? The jokes are what it's all about!Enduring rubbish jokes and having fun are mutually exclusive. I might have actually enjoyed the old Hamidon, tedium and all, if it weren't for the "community banter."
Some people just don't know how to have fun and so they gotta rain on everyone's parade. -
I just tried the new interface again right now, after having tried it a few days ago.
All the scrolling sucks. There wasn't this much scrolling with old interface. I'm talking the bids, not item search.
Buttons keep getting greyed out and staying that way even if I change characters.
The last five bid history is there, but there's no record of how many are looking to buy and how many are selling.
My first impression isn't very good. I think maybe they went a little overboard with all the changes they made all at once. Whatever. Makes me not want to play. I'll come back later when they fix everything! -
I'm reminded of 20 years ago when I'd chat all night on a local 30 line BBS. There'd be maybe six people online with four chatting away and two on the boards. The system would go down every morning at 6:00am for auto-maintenence, and it would start warning everyone online about half an hour before. Almost all of us always took that as a sign to log the heck out and go to bed already!
It was the same thing when I ended up on a few MUCKs and MUSHes five years after that; the server shutting down for routine maintenence early in the morning. So really, this sort of thing just fills me with nostalgia. -
I have a lot of alts that have a lot of stuff for sale.
I can patiently wait, if it means there will be a mad rush for everything once the markets come back online. -
As I recall, they were originally supposed to give out missions, way way long ago before the game went live.
Maybe they can do that again? -
Quote:Sorry, I found another MMO!i lose weight when playing this game.
wut noub.
play standing up moar. -
Since I've stopped playing this game in an obsessive manner, I've lost 15 pounds.
I'd say that puts me on the right track. -

Unless everyone else quits and then forms their own team and doesn't invite him or her.
-
Now we just need someone to invent the "Broadway Brawler"...
-
If CoH2 allowed veteran players of CoH to move their characters over, I think that would be another first in a line of firsts for the City of Heroes/Villians games.
At least, I've never heard of such a thing happening before. -
I'm sensing a general shift of priorities, here.
Is the point of playing the market so that you can afford the more valueable items in this game, or are you doing it so you can collect up as much influence or infamy as you possibly can (the way some people collect badges, or base salvage)?
If the devs suddenly made a store that sells all items in the game for static prices, I'd be all for that. -
Quote:And replies like yours are why I, the OP (and others) prefer to have NICER things (aka more complete gaming experiences and more reliable information). Sorry if you prefer to settle for less. But hey, at least you won Dev brownie points. That should get you into closed beta real fast.
Gratz.
A little paranoid, I believe!
But "nice" does not mean "fits into some OCD sufferer's narrow view of perfection that makes his neurons fire in the correct patterns."
Well, it might for you, but obviously not everyone else. Thank the gods the devs are intelligent and realize this.
EDIT: Wait, what others? -
Quote:You know, it's things like this that explain why sites like these had to be created. But its not more than I was told, and its not sooner than I expected. I was led to believe the Going Rogue would be a complete retail product ready for release in Spring 2010 and now its just setback after setback with compensation features to make up for the last minute delays (which is fine, and I'm pleased with the quality of the content being proposed - if and whenever it actually shows up).
You can explain it to them again and again until you're blue in the face, but they won't ever be convinced. They've made up their minds and they're just trying to wear you down until you "admit" they're getting cheated.
Indeed, when I was working retail, there were several times when I was trying to give the customer a bargain, but they wouldn't have it! They were actually satisfied with paying more for less. As long as it all fits with their preconceived views of the world, they are happy. It boggles the mind.
