  1. I love vengeance on my widows. Gives my widows a warm feeling when someone sacrifices themselves so I can fire it off! What a villian!

I agree. I pay little attention to what is and what isn't fotm. I just play what I feel I'll enjoy. My first hero when CoH went live was a spines/DA scrapper. What a journey that was. But I had fun and hardly ever saw another till DA got some revamping Whenever the new powersets come out if I think I'll like them I take them for a 10 lvl spin and decide if I want to keep going or not.
  3. That's awesome! Congrats! Maybe you should have a virtual wedding on Virtue?
  4. Welcome back!! Thanks for sharing! Made me think of all that's happened to me also since I started.

Judging from the last couple of evenings on live servers I'd say he's not alone

    Who said that it was?
  8. I'd second the warshade; many different ways to build them also. But I'd go with a triform.
  9. Bummer. Sometimes I wish dev's would look at an idea and say, "Now that would be cool! Let's do it!" Instead of "We could do 2 or 3 not so cool powersets instead, let's do that!" :/

    Any regrets?

The only thing I regret is deleting a number of over lvl 40 characters. This was before we could get extra slots or transfer characters. But, meh, it's not a huge regret.
  11. I did. I also just edited the link in the quote to be safe.
  12. Just yesterday I got the automated email saying someone had changed the contact info on my Aion account. I don't even have an Aion account! What's up with that??

  13. This just happened to me in march. Took 4 days to get it straightened out again. Apparently it's not over yet.
  14. As the others have mentioned you really want dark regen.

I believe procs in toggles only check for activation once per 10 seconds. Not sure overall you wouldn't be better off in the long run slotting for dmg/acc/endred (maybe 3 MS: D/E, A/D, A/E and 3 SD: A/D, D/E, A/D/E) . Would take some math to double check.
  15. So just so I'm clear, phantom army does not and never has done knockback. Got it, thanks

edit: oh yeah and Everstryke hates knockback.
  16. You'll be waiting a long time for them to buff gravity. If you like the set, take it for what it's worth and do the best you can with it. I love my grav/kin controller.
  17. To be honest I might have been a bit more aggressive if I hadn't been in a sg team of which I'm TFNG

Any one of the three phantoms who spawn can do any of the eight (or actually two) attacks. One of those ranged attacks looks like an energy blast, but all three of the ranged attacks are really the same amount of psi damage, and a portion of that damage will heal back after 5 seconds unless the foe is defeated. All five of the melee attacks are really the same amount of psi damage, and a portion of that damage will heal back after five seconds unless the foe is defeated.

They do not have specialized jobs of "tank, blaster or scrapper." They are what they are -- three invulnerable pets who can attack at range or melee, and who have a high threat level so they draw aggro.

I have read your guide, good job btw, and I completely agree. I was just posting the other side of a discussion I was having with someone else. I even went to perez park like I said I would so I could confirm it myself, before saying well the guide says this, cause I knew what the response would be. Basically my delima boils down to this: some people will just flat out refuse to conceed, even if they haven't any hands on experience. They must have been scared by phantasm doing his thing and like mentioned earlier, now attribute knockback to all illusion pets. And you know what? That's ok. For anyone else in this situation, don't waste your time trying to convince them. Offer to show them, and if they take you up on it great, but if they don't just move on. Thanks again for listening and the guide.
  19. kin goes great with grav! But I may be a bit bias
  20. The latest I've been told is now this:

The Phantom Army can spawn, tanks, blasters and scrappers I beleive. But i do know it can produce blasters. And in that array of blasters they produce energy blasters.

Guess I'll just run out to perez park and see what happens. :/
  21. Great! thanks for the info!

Recently started my first ill/rad controller. The tank asked me not to use phantom army cause it can knockback the mobs. Is this a usual request or a personal quirk? Nothing was said to the keld in squid form though. Just trying to get a feel for phantom army and when to use it without ticking people off. Personally I felt a bit incomplete without it.

I of course complied with his request and the team did fine, it was just a bit less enjoyable I guess.
