I agree with the idea! Some of my RL friends have been gettin' real annoying...

Having a powerset that actually allowed you to murder a teammate would make fallout and vengeance a lot easier to use.
[/ QUOTE ]
I imagine that it would have a confirmation window, so you can't kill an unwilling teammate, and wouldn't leave a corpse (like Self Destruction from the Cyborg Pack) so it couldn't be used for corpse-bombing/veng-baiting.

Did you play it on live or on the test server? Not only is the test server one in a state of flux with the new additions I am testing out, it also has several new custom enemies that the live version lacks.

I played the version on Live Server.

friends you can all upon.
I've heard quite about you...
[/ QUOTE ]
To be honest I don't consider those to be much in the way of typos, they're more in the line of speech mannerisms. If I make all the grammar perfect it sounds too artificial, so I tend to just write the way I expect them to talk.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah, I understand.

I dont know what it was about your storyline, but by the last mission I felt bad if Cobalts Mom even got hit.
[/ QUOTE ]Kind of odd as you're being paid to rescue a woman who dealt with a traitor by simply killing everyone rather than actually finding out who it was.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I was on my villains... -
If you follow the rules specifically its going to be No, however I very much doubt that your Parody will get you in much trouble.

Though you never know. They may delete all your Charactors and Perma-Ban your account.

Could it be that when 'ghosts' manifest they draw energy from the area around them ie. Sapper like? -
Hey Lazarus!
Could you rate one of my MArcs?
Arc: Xavier's Task Force
Arc ID: 200438
Author: @Computer
Number of Missions: 5
Description: Xavier, the Longbow's first Artificial Intelligence enhanced Cataphract class support automaton, is the lead investigator of some recent and disturbing crey activities. Note: This is a difficult and challenging story arc meant to be Task Force hard! (The Final Mission contains an AV.)
I posted my reviews of your MArcs in the other thread, and they were awesome by the way!
Do you usually solo the MArcs you rate? While I bet it could be done solo, I wouldn't recommend it. -
[u]Portal Bandits[u]
I found your mission to be thoroughly enjoyable!
Characters: I did this with my Super Strength/Stone Armor and Sonic/Kinetic Duo.
Rating:*****
Typos :
Mission One; intro dialogue:
In the red text there is a typo.
friends you can all upon.
Custom Critters:
Your Nagan Hegemony seems like a very balanced group. Except for purely personal aesthetic preferences (I hate the look of tech wings) they look great and I like how you tie their look in with the story.
Story:
I thought it was great. The whole We dont have it, and want to level the playing field regarding portal technology is something I could see the devs themselves doing.
Comments:[*][NPC] Vikki Vandale: Was I supposed to feel that?
Normally that would get a chuckle out of me, however I wasnt watching my powers close enough. I ran up to her and activated Knockout blow just as my Rage dropped. So she said Was I supposed to feel that? while she went flying through the air and took 4 damage. That got me laughing in my chair![*]Naga Obscura hits you with his Shuriken for 1575.04 points of lethal damage.
Again I wasnt paying enough attention. I had Rock Armor on because the regular spawns didnt necessitate Granite Armor. So I ran towards her group at full speed and she one shot me with shuriken sending me sliding on the ground to beneath her feet.
[u]Of Futures Past [u]
I loved this mission!
Characters: I played through this Marc with my Perma Fire/Psi Dom.
Rating:*****
Typos :
Mission One; Intro Dialogue:
I've heard quite about you...
Custom Critters (Enemies):
A lot simpler/less exciting than the first MArc, though it fits the whole disposable minions part.
Custom Critters (Allies):
In the first mission the seven allies seem to be in defensive mode. As a dominator that controls the entire spawn before entering combat they just stood around doing nothing. I also took on Dr. Aeon. While I defeated him, his AoEs took most of the Nagans out when I tried to get them to help me fight him.
Mission Two:
This mission was just plain cool. I couldnt do anything to the Giant Monsters, but it was fun watching them trounce around Atlas Park destroying Rikti in the process!
Mission Three:
I for one love the setup of glowies. There was quite a few but I think theres enough there to help the storyline, while not to many that make it a drag to complete.
Story:
I dont know what it was about your storyline, but by the last mission I felt bad if Cobalts Mom even got hit. I think it had something to do with getting to know the characters so well. Heh undergarments
Comments:
I think the arcs go well together, and all the funny comments from the Nagans in the first mission were hilarious!
The maps were also very nicely picked. -
It more than just movement keys. There appears to be two different bugs for chat right now.
What has recently been typed:
This would explain the 'movement chat' which is what mostly shows up because we're almost always moving...
I have also been leaving the Black Market after purchasing something for $700,000. Then when responding to someone's tell I get
[Tell]-->*****:700000Sure
What has been...untyped?:
This one is kind of hard to explain but has happened to me many times while creating MArcs. I'll just be typing along, minding my own buisness when out of no where the game will just stop showing what I have typed. I can keep typing and it looks like it should be showing up however its not. It is however registering somewhere though, because the next place I click to and start typing it will cram whatever I typed after it stopped showing up, into the chat box.
In retrospect the first bug could be the second one that just copies typed letters instead of hoarding them...
If you know what is going on, the second one is annoying, however managable. The first one is just plain asdswasdawdsadawdasdasirritating. -
Also with that animation, both hands are covered in stone with a similar graphic to that of Stone Fist. Its a tad hard to describe but you can easily make a /Stone Tank and use Stone Fist to see it.
-
I left the MA system when they added those horrendous ranged attacks to the melee sets, because that completely destroyed some of my arcs that I made. I have however been unable to resist the urge to start making stuff again. So I created a Task Force. Let me get right down to it.
My last mission is quite the doozie. It is supposed to be the place my Evil Villain retreats to. I would like some feedback from more experienced MArc designers if my last mission is insane to the point of driving anyone who wants to play my MArc away, or just insane enough to be extremely fun.
[u]Here's the lowdown[u]:
<ul type="square">[*]First of all the map is a cave map, however it is one of those wide caves (Think The Hollows style) which makes it a little better.
[*]Secondly this is the place the Villain hides in so the caves are populated by a special custom group. Except for the Main Villain and the group surrounding him, the caves are filled with Arachnos Cruise Missiles. Am I Insane yet?Not only are all the normal spots populated by ACMs, but there are also 31 Patrols of them. I want these caves to be extremely dangerous.
[*]Last but not least comes the Villain himself. He's not too frightening (Broadsword/Psionic Assault) however his surrounding group is all Nemisis Lieutenants. Multiple application of Vengeance on an Arch-Villain? Yummy! And if that wasn't enough I have three ambushes of Nemisis Lieutenants that come restore his Vengeance at 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 health.[/list]I completed this mission with my IOed out SS/Stone Brute and Sonic/Kin Corrupter with no deaths, however since I knew the ins and outs of that mission it wasn't all that difficult.
So what's the verdict? Will it drive people away, or is it a fun type of mission? If the description isn't enough I posted just the last mission by itself (ID# 200437). If you want the whole Task Force to understand the story I also posted that, (ID# 200438) but I have only went over it once. There may be a couple typos here and there. -

Does it still work for even level pets when exemplared down is a question perhaps someone else can answer.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be a 'No.' There are three threads on this subject (that I have seen) already, could we perhaps congregate our info in the thread in the Issue 15 Feedback Forums. -

[ QUOTE ]
Extracted Essence remains because the player is not the entity that summoned them (I think).
[/ QUOTE ]
Who is then...? The zombie? They die too and so do their summoned pets.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe your talking about two different powers.
Soul Extraction
Dark Extraction
And I believe Wavicle is right. You're not summoning the pet yourself, you're using a power that summons it off of something else. In this case they cannot be tagged with 'die when caster dies' since the caster is technically already dead. -
[ QUOTE ]
Pets that have a fixed lifespan persist until their duration expires. Pets that have an unlimited lifespan only persist until the owner is defeated. Both kinds cease to persist if the owner leaves the map or zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
Phantom Army seems to be an exception to this rule. -
[u]Domination change[u]: I like how it sounds at the moment. I have some characters getting nerfed by it, but since I will be able to peak much higher from my always present Fulcrum Shift I find the nerf to be irrelevant.
[u]Psychic Shockwave change[u]: ...
[ QUOTE ]
I'm interested in seeing what he does wth Psy (as my 50 is Ice/Psy,) but overall, from what I've heard, it sounds positive for how I play.
[/ QUOTE ]
And there's the magic phrase right there. I know its far too early to be crying doom, though from what Castle has been posting the change sounds negative for how I play. No one's playstyle is more important than anyone else's, however Psionic Assault has been set up so that it lends itself to be played in a certain way. I can tell you I have both a Fire/Psi that lives in the midst of combat and a Gravity/Psi that leverages all of /Psi's abilities from range to melee and I can tell you that I love playing them both. I find neither to be 'better' than the other, but one is certainly more effective at farming.
I am curious as to why the developers made Psychic Shockwave that way it is in the first place.
Was it because the rest of Psionic Assault fell short and Psychic Shockwave made up for it? Are they changing it now because they were in error to make it that way in the first place?
Was it a mistake in the numbers somewhere and they have just let it sit all this time?
Is the slight advantage they gave Psionic Assault being used in a way they did not intend it to be used, ala Farming?

Guess I will just make PL missions instead and wait for my Hero to be genericed... -

I'm about to sign on now to Pinnacle with my brute, I'll post my findings.
This could just be a bug, but I see the animation od a red ball of lightning coming to me and my end bar goes up.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you talking just about the animation it's self? As I recall it has always been 'bugged' in the sense that the animation will play (The little sparky ball that leaves the enemy and goes to you) even if the power doesn't affect the target. However IIRC the actual endurance drain/gain has always been dependant on the target being affectable. -
I'm not sure what you are seeing generichero033.
I am quite certain that phased targets such as Illusionists are in no way affected by Power Sink.
I got on my Electric Blaster and tested just to see if they had changed something in I13, and they have not. When I used PS against a phased Illusionist she did not loose any endurance nor did I gain any. The exact Combat chat said:
(The Illusionist starts out phased, and then I activated Havoc Punch when her phase dropped)
You activated the Charged Bolts power.
Target is unaffected by Charged Bolts.
Charged Bolts is recharged.
Illusionist has covered you in Spectral Wounds for 177.82 points of Psionic damage!
Illusionist Blinds you for 108.42 points of Energy damage.
You activated the Power Sink power.
Target is unaffected by Power Sink.
You have been temporarily blinded and cannot attack unless something strikes you!
You have been put to sleep!
You are no longer asleep.
Illusionist has covered you in Spectral Wounds for 177.82 points of Psionic damage!
You activated the Havoc Punch power.
You break free of the Spectral Wounds illusion and recover 69.4 points of Psionic damage.
You recover some of the Endurance you drained.
You smash Illusionist with your mighty Havoc Punch for 218.81 points of smashing damage!
You smash Illusionist with your mighty Havoc Punch for an additional 65.64 points of energy damage!
Your Havoc Punch drains some endurance from Illusionist!
The important parts are in bold. (Sorry I don't know how to post Screen Shots)
Nothing happened visually to either of our (Mine and the Illusionist's) endurance bars, and the combat log doesn't dispute that on my end. -
[ QUOTE ]
The reason why I think pff does not have a forced cool down and phase and hibernate do, is because whenever you phase or hibernate...it's a GUARANTEED "I cannot be hurt power" as with pff you can still be hurt and in some instances against certain builds pff can be cut trhough like a hot knife through butter i.e. rad and most well built MM's...and if anyone pops 2 to 3 yellows(which anyone can easily do)...pff is pretty much screwed....so thats why imo pff doesn't share forced cool down and recharges fast.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unfortunately that is not true in the I13 world.
Yellows: You can pop as many as you like, but DR will hit you long before you start getting into the range of hitting through PFF.
Debuffs: I don't know the reasoning behind this one, most likely just because of the amount of Defense and Elusitivity gives you, but even debuffed PFF will not be reliably hit through. I have been debuffed by multiple Rads on my Dominator and can still laugh off their 5-10% chance to hit me.
I'm afraid that my opinion is PFF is the most overpowered one. I wish it wasn't that way because I love having powers that let me watch PvP instead of actually PvPing (ala Pre-Nerfs Phase, Pre-I13 Granite Armor, PFF, etc.).
I still get creamed when my seemingly high defense Night Widow running Elude goes into RV (However he is only 44 at the moment but that shouldn't matter). I don't have an SR, but I would probably put it right in the middle since it can maintain high defense with IOs, even if it isn't Elude levels, for an indefinite period of time.
