Using Power sink against Phase Shift

Was just wondering if I can sap someone that has phaseshift on. I know against Illusionists or nem bosses with shields on, I can use powersink and it hits them.

No. Phased is phased.

End drain does work against PFF though.

Not Nemesis PFF as the OP though however

That is a Phase Bubble pretty much

The same goes for Illusionist. They phase you wait

They phase, I drain. It still works. And when I get caught in a containment bubble and it says only affecting self, I can use one attack power, and that is Lightning rod bc it is a TP power and causes dmg.

Considering you are the only other person in this game so far who claims to have Power Sink miss, I am going to say you are mistaken and are draining them just as they phase/bubble.

I have tried to drain Illusionist while phased with my SS/EA Brute using an auto hit Energy Drain, my Mind/Psi/Mu Dom with an auto hit PowerSink, my Sonic/Elec Blaster w/ Powersink and countless times on numerous kins who require a tohit check and have never and I do mean never drained then while phase was active. This includes Nemesis PFF and Illusion Phase

You are mistaken, I will post a pic with the combat log when i try again.

Please do. How exactly you can prove combat logs are accurate on Illusionist Phase when it works the way it does I am curious to see. They phase when held/stunned or even fully out of end. Their phase is on a timer that works no matter what and last about 5 seconds.

You might get return on end since it is stated as autohit and does hit but the target is "uneffected" and even says so overhead. If you are draining them it is a bug.

I still say you are just seeing things wrong but by all means please prove me otherwise

It doesn't matter about what it says. The same concept applies to malta sappers. You add their end to your own, but their end doesn't move. If it is a bug, then I have been doing it since I12.

Also, I dont see the need for an NPC with a blue bar, even when you drain them to 0 they still attack. Also, When you do a mayhem mission, you can add the citizen's end to your own.

That is because Malta Sappers have extreme resistance to end drain.

So no it isnt even close.

Why not, im still adding the same ammount of end to my end meter, the same thing that works against carnie and nems. I'm not saying I'm stealing end from their bar, I'm saying I'm adding their end to my bar.

I'm not sure what you are seeing generichero033.

I am quite certain that phased targets such as Illusionists are in no way affected by Power Sink.

I got on my Electric Blaster and tested just to see if they had changed something in I13, and they have not. When I used PS against a phased Illusionist she did not loose any endurance nor did I gain any. The exact Combat chat said:

(The Illusionist starts out phased, and then I activated Havoc Punch when her phase dropped)
You activated the Charged Bolts power.
Target is unaffected by Charged Bolts.
Charged Bolts is recharged.
Illusionist has covered you in Spectral Wounds for 177.82 points of Psionic damage!
Illusionist Blinds you for 108.42 points of Energy damage.
You activated the Power Sink power.
Target is unaffected by Power Sink.

You have been temporarily blinded and cannot attack unless something strikes you!
You have been put to sleep!
You are no longer asleep.
Illusionist has covered you in Spectral Wounds for 177.82 points of Psionic damage!
You activated the Havoc Punch power.
You break free of the Spectral Wounds illusion and recover 69.4 points of Psionic damage.
You recover some of the Endurance you drained.
You smash Illusionist with your mighty Havoc Punch for 218.81 points of smashing damage!
You smash Illusionist with your mighty Havoc Punch for an additional 65.64 points of energy damage!
Your Havoc Punch drains some endurance from Illusionist!

The important parts are in bold. (Sorry I don't know how to post Screen Shots)

Nothing happened visually to either of our (Mine and the Illusionist's) endurance bars, and the combat log doesn't dispute that on my end.

I'm about to sign on now to Pinnacle with my brute, I'll post my findings.

This could just be a bug, but I see the animation od a red ball of lightning coming to me and my end bar goes up.

Well I did a test tonight, and there was no change. I bugged it, then I ran another carnie mission and the animation was there but no change in end. Which is weird bc other NPC I'll fight the animation of the end transfer doest appear.

Are you talking just about the animation it's self? As I recall it has always been 'bugged' in the sense that the animation will play (The little sparky ball that leaves the enemy and goes to you) even if the power doesn't affect the target. However IIRC the actual endurance drain/gain has always been dependant on the target being affectable.
