Oh god, another thread that has devolved into "Hating WoW is cool just because it's WoW".
-
Well, technically, people complained about CoH having too many zones before CoV was made.
-
The Monstrous Fur chest had 3D fur, but it was changed into the flat Austin Powers Hairy Chest option under Tights that we have today because of clipping issues/Jay hates furries.

Also, just about anyone could probably solo SSTF1 if they have the patience for it, for example. Lack of AVs and all.
[/ QUOTE ]
No you can't - there's possibly as many as fifty mishes (it certainly felt like that) in that one where you have to click four glowies simultaneously.
[/ QUOTE ]My bad, I keep forgetting about that stuff because it's so extremely rare in the game <.< -
So, the answer is pretty much "Not outside of soloing, no." from what I can tell... Ah well, thanks.
-
Not unique, but only one may be in effect at a time on one enemy.
-
It had a lot to do with line-of-sight abuse, from what I remember.

[ QUOTE ]
The only true TF that can be soloed is Posi, it's possible on most builds due to the fact that it has no AVs.
You still need three to start however.
[/ QUOTE ]There's plenty of TFs and SFs that can be soloed, some people actually make characters specifically for this purpose.
Most of them are, of course, still low-level ones, though higher ones are still possible; heck, I've heard plausible rumors of a Mastermind soloing the ITF...
Also, just about anyone could probably solo SSTF1 if they have the patience for it, for example. Lack of AVs and all. -
Prices -do- drop during the night, often significantly; I suspect it has something to do with the whole US-EU market sharing thing.

and each one of them is usually 7.5% chance
[/ QUOTE ]You must be looking at something else, procs are normally 20% chance.

I bet SOMEONE is going to whine that their concept based on a highly trained psychic wolf spider killing his enemies with MIND BULLETS is going to whine when this gets fixed.
-
Katana takes some nice "Chance for ___ damage" IOs in just about every single attack, and is fast.

Not having to waist so much time between missions in the early levels.
[/ QUOTE ]
Rather than running to the missions, avoiding mobs, try killing what you encounter. You will hit level 5 before your third mission that way, and no time is wasted.
[/ QUOTE ]Example: Kalinda's first mission (Defeat Burch) is so damn far from Fort Darwin that I usually get to level 4 before I make it to the mission door.
I'm level 8 or 9 when I finish the last mission in Mercy and then I kill a few Luddites in Cap au Diable to hit level 10. I skip Port Oakes entirely. -
Since all attacks build the same amount of Fury per use, Brawl is actually good for that purpose, due to being quick-recharging. I don't know about other Brute players, but I usually choose to replace it with either Boxing or the minor damage melee attack at later levels, though.
You do have a point with low levels, though. As a lowbie Brute, I strongly advise you to ignore Damage slotting for now and let Fury take care of that, and to focus on Accuracy and Endurance Reduction. Brutes really start rolling once they get to the point where they can go from spawn to spawn without rest breaks. Swift helps for keeping Fury up between spawns (by getting to them faster), and most Brutes will want Stamina anyway, to keep going without pausing. A Brute's playstyle revolves around its Fury bar; I may be blowing this out of proportion due to being a Brute-lover, but you really get the most out of them when you start to see the red mist of berserking rage in front of your eyes that your character would be seeing.
You should start feeling more like an unstoppable powerhouse by SOs at the latest. Brutes don't take long to turn into steamrollers - I recommend converting most of your insps into blues just so you can keep your Fury up. -
[ QUOTE ]
By any chance have you been playing Heroes a lot more the Villains? Personally I have played almost exclusively villains until mid December, before that I never managed to get a hero past level 5 before I gave up on them.
[/ QUOTE ]I had the exact same thing for a long time.
Eventually I figured out that it's actually because Hero Archetypes are boring. -
You could try waiting a bit and see if we're getting merged with the Americans in the near future or not.
-
Procced up Katana puts out the highest single target DPS of Scrapper primaries based on the last time I researched such things; I don't think there have been any major changes since then that'd change this.

with Brutes the damage is lower than Scrappers.
[/ QUOTE ]False, here's your problem:

I find I'm struggling to maintain Fury

Well, generic IOs are cheap yet better than SOs.
It's the sets that are expensive. -

and doesn't even seem to attack very often
[/ QUOTE ]Every 2.5 seconds without taking advantage of multi-aspect enhancing IOs (can't verify this working, myself, but I hear things like Endmod/Rech, for example, enhance the recharge on the Sentinel's blast power).
As with most powers in the entire game, it's kind of disappointing without proper slotting. For SOs I'd probably stick to 2 acc 2 dam 2 endredux, as you don't need any recharge in it. -
Oh please, it's obviously a rumor they themselves started, to appear more mysterious and badass to their enemies.

Plus Granville really really should have a giant Spider, that web just cries out for it!!!
[/ QUOTE ]I wonder if it'd be viable to somehow write the Jade Spider into a randomly spawning GM without messing up a certain comic book arc and Ouroboros TF/SF.
On the other hand, if that thing is going to be scaling the damn Tangle, do not want. Chasing Scrapyard and Deathsurge as they leap across tall buildings, madly regenerating HP as players curse and chase after them, is already incredibly frustrating.
On that note, how about making anything conning as an EB or higher not run in panic unless it's a "Stop ____ from escaping!" mission? It's fake difficulty when it comes to AVs and GMs - abusing game mechanics by running around to regen HP because people can't attack them effectively while they jump 200 feet into the air, landing on a CLOTHESLINE with perfect precision, breaks my immersion something awful. Especially if they manage to kill a player and spout some cocky taunt after.
...er, sorry for the rant. -

I doubt that that I will ever make it to 60 months, it is still another 3 and a half year away for me. Further more I do not find the argument you only have to wait 5 years to be able to get a travel power with one power choice a valid argument. If that solution is technically possible it should not be limited to 5 year veterens. If anything it should be a argument for redesigning the 60 month vet reward.
[/ QUOTE ]Stop being a selfish little kid. I want the Arachnos Helmets vet reward. It's extremely unlikely I'll ever get them. Do you see me whining about it? Heck, by your logic they should allow everyone to have all the vet awards from day one. It's not like the 6 month one is any more necessary than the others (personally I want the costume ones the most).

I have neither the base teleporter (and most of my characters are not in a SG) nor the Pocket-D teleporter.
[/ QUOTE ]So buy the Pocket D teleporter from the online store, it comes with the GvE pack which also includes other goodies. If you don't want to fork over the money, then you obviously don't want or need the travel convenience as badly as you think you do. -

You'd also need to consider the WS equivalent powers.
[/ QUOTE ]Nobody ever considers the WS equivalent powers when other powers are changed.
Just look at Siphon Life and Soul Drain.
