Well doesn't that make it even more useful? If a +4 enemy is resistant to your attacks you don't want to be missing, that would just make them take even longer to kill.

Wait, they added giant monsters to AE already? I could have sworn that was a feature that was coming up...

Also I wonder if this went on long enough for prices to go up much...
  4. Oh, that's why they changed it.

    ...I still don't like it.

Most of the ugly responses here to TCS are because of his, well, posting history.

I stand by my statements earlier in the thread: The developers are aware that not all information is correctly transmitted to the players in the confines of the game's text entrys, nor is such information communicated through the in-game help. The developers have also stated, pretty explicitly, that Going Rogue's tutorial system will be addressing many of the existing shortfalls.

Now, I invite you to read the first post again. TCS doesn't come in and ask a question.
I'm aware of that, and I know the kinds of topics TCS has made before, and that doesn't make it any better. If anything that makes it worse, that people would be against this idea just because the person making it has a bad posting history.

And why would he ask a question about it, when he clearly already figured out that you can't refill Shivans when you have charges left? He learned the hard way and his suggestion is to make it easier for other people NOT to learn the hard way. But people can't look past his prior posts and feel the need to just be rude and insulting.
  6. Jeez, some one makes a suggestion that could help new (and even some veteran) players, and most of the responses are just people claiming it's HIS fault he didn't know.

    And that's terrible.

    Rad/Ice.

I've found that it's pretty good in both AoE and single target damage. If there's a pesky enemy, like a tough boss or a Tsoo sorcerer, Aim + Build Up followed by Ice Sword and Cosmic Burst will take them out or do huge damage to them. You could even add Proton Volley to that. It's like a mini-stalker! Plus...if you have Ninja Run, depending on your costume it can look very cool to run up to a boss carrying an Ice Sword!

    Rad/Ice.

I have one at level 32. I tend to team (actually, I never solo...) which means there's almost always a tanker or some one else who can distract/weaken mobs. In those situations it is VERY fun. All I have to do is wait a millisecond after the tank hits melee range, set down ice patch in case anything wants to hit me, and start dumping all my AoE on the poor mobs. They just melt.

I can't speak for how good or fun it will be solo. But it's the most fun I've had since my Fire/Fire blaster. The AoE carnage is just delicious.
  9. Meanwhile, the "Newsie" in Talos is still informing everyone about the newly released power set, Shield Defense!
  10. Hey, some of us like throwing our DNA at people, okay?!

And those are valid reasons for not supporting the idea. Saying it's bad to change things because they're working as intended is not.

It's a suggestion forum, isn't changing what's intended the whole point?

I mean powers weren't INTENDED to be customizable. Now they are. Because people suggested it.

You know I'm not big on RP, but I can't imagine my heroes just kind of standing all casual under the statue of Atlas with super villains there too...
  14. Oh god yes...It looks so stupid when you're running super fast the way we run.

Hopefully they plan on adding customization to pool powers, with alternate animations. Or even emotes like they did with fly. I've started using ninja run + sprint instead of super speed just because it looks better.

Oi...the 50 was an example. For example, if I want to fight Hellions with my level 50 blaster and not one shot them, I would need to be exemplared down. Yes, if I exempt to level 3, I'll have my level 4, 6, and 8 powers. But I'm still not gonna one shot them with Fireball.

Compared to fighting them at level 50, it sure is.................

There's a pretty big difference between fighting level 1-5 Hellions at level 50 and at level 3.

What if you DON'T know the levels they end at? Too bad, look it up next time?

And that still doesn't do anything for people who would like to "clean up" on the streets, but actually have a challenge in fighting the enemies in older zones.
  20. What if I don't want people to know I'm the leader of a team? Do I have to be on hide just to not be pestered by any one who's looking for a team?

Well no, there would be key differences, like

-Not having to re-do the costume (which isn't a big deal with costume saving but still)
    -Getting the same name
-Not having to switch characters when you want to play the other one

...Which is kind of the whole point of the suggestion...

At level 12 Trafficker has Hasten, Siphon Speed, 40% Global recharge, 2 single target attacks and 3 aoe attacks from my Primary Powerset. He has more than a mere attack chain... he has options: Fire Blast, Fire Ball, Flares, Rain of Fire, Fire Breath.

*EDIT*I forgot about Super Sidekicking. I get all that stuff at level 7. I think that's kinda neat.

I bet people would pay to have you join their bank farms, not that you'd need it.

  24. So, you want people to play a specific way, just so it can benefit you?
