    Bad Team Bingo

Grrrr...I was on a team with an afk martial arts stalker catgirl, on a character with a snipe, and I didn't get ANY of those on my card. x_x
  2. I would love it if they'd make a second VEAT starting contact where you actually WORK for Arachnos. It was incredibly disappointing to finally get a level 50 villain, roll out an actual member of Arachnos, and then find out I wasn't really part of Arachnos.

Of course I just stopped doing the arc and ignored the lame "All VEATs have abandoned Arachnos" crap.
  3. I have to agree with Sam here. The amount of people getting mad at other players and being all-around jerk wads is just ridiculous.

    Bad Team Bingo

This is harder than I expected...I keep being unable to get even five on a single team, let alone five in a row! But I had some ideas for other things to add.

    -Constant Team Splitting-
When for some reason, the team can't manage to all go the same way

    -Mystic Fortune Spamming-
Either some one casting it on you over and over when you keep denying it, or people spamming it on you when you ALREADY have one

    -Always out of heal/buff range-
This mostly applies to people who feel the need to constantly hover out of range of Tranfusion, even when they're dying, but also people who are constantly out of range of targeted heals and buffs

    -Indecisive Leader-
When some one forms a team or TF...and can't decide what to do. Whether it be what mission to do or how to go about it. It's one thing to let the team decide, it's another to be completely directionless...
  5. People keep saying one side is a majority and the other is a minority, but I have yet to see any actual evidence of said claims.

The prompt (along with the new "recast" rooting animation bug) IS the problem. How can it be the compromise?
The prompt is the compromise because some people want the buff and some people don't. With out a prompt, one group wouldn't be getting what they want.

I don't like the buff OR the prompt. It's not just people who want the buff that are bothered by the prompt, you know.

    I hate this MF buff!

It lasts 20 minutes of game time and doesn't go away until then even if you die or log off for three years.

I have a global channel with less than 90 active players, and at least five of us PREFER the prompt.

    Yay, anecdotal evidence! \m/

And, I would just like to say, I'm amazed and disappointed at the number of posts basically saying "This doesn't annoy me, who cares about the people it does annoy." For shame.

Hmmm I don't understand the "Lacks Pure anything" square.

I've teamed with @Chriffer and he's pretty awful. Would you believe he solos entire mobs on a stalker?! Even three month vets know stalkers are supposed to use one attack and then hide until the next mob.

So if it's not letting you do that I'd definitely /petition it.
Looks like that's what I'll be doing then. Thanks for the confirmation.
  13. Nope, no luck. The guns have colorable versions, but the maces don't (or the colorable versions won't show up).

Ah. I suppose it's possible all my costumes got set to the non-colorable version some how. I'll have to check that out.
  15. I know that I've changed the colors on my Soldier's mace before, but now the colors can't be changed. Is this a known glitch? Should I petition it or is it just going to stay this way until they fix it?

Or, even worse, are they supposed to be uncolorable? I didn't see any thing about it in any of these places:

    And search didn't help...
  16. Aren't they listed in alphabetical order by what they enhance? Accuracy, Damage, Defense, etc etc.

Although I would prefer it they were sorted by level more, like it would be
    Level 35 Accuracy
    Level 35 Damage
    Level 35 Defense
    etc

    Instead of
    Level 35 Accuracy
    Level 40 Accuracy
    Level 35 Damage
    Level 40 Damage
    etc

"Don't fix it" and "Break normal arcs" aren't the only options.

It would be understandable if they had made this a quick fix, but it's been almost two months with non-exploitative arcs having their rewards nerfed. That's ridiculous.

It's a result of exploiting, but the devs are still at fault for fixing the exploit in a way that nerfs non-exploitative arcs.

I'm not saying perhaps it couldn't be a little more logical, just that I'd hate to jump from door to door.
People keep bringing up this extreme. Lowering travel time doesn't have to mean all missions will be 50 yards apart.

The travel isn't bad in this game, no. In this particular instance, yes, it's an unnecessarily lengthy amount of travel for what you're required to do.
  21. I enjoy the Manticore Task Force. It's one of my favorites that I'll usually join if I see it forming. But at one point, it sends you from Brickstown to Kings Row (to rescue Birch), and then to Crey's Folly (to defeat 40 Crey). That's a ridiculous trek for two missions. It's such a hassle that I've opted out of running the task force simply because I don't want to put up with it.

Yes, not all of the team needs to go to each mission. The Birch mission can be stealthed, and Birch doesn't need to be led out, only the spawn around him needs to be cleared. One person can be sent to free him while the rest of the team goes straight to Crey's. But task forces are team tasks. They should be designed with the expectation that each team member will be going to each mission.

To do both of these missions, you would be required to zone a minimum of four times. For two missions! Some people zone slowly and this can be a huge disruption (my load times aren't even that bad, and I always spend more time getting to these missions than completing them). Okay, it's less with base teleporters, but I'm not counting those because it's ridiculous to expect people to have a super group (or one with teleporters) just to avoid zoning lots of times.

Here's some possible ways to get from Brickstown to King's Row to Crey's Folly:

    Mission teleporter to King's Row
Yellow Line to Steel or Skyway
    Green Line to Brickstown
    Brickstown to Crey's Folly

But what about people who didn't buy the Valkyrie/Mac pack?
Green Line to Steel or Skyway, or Pocket D to King's Row
    Yellow Line to King's Row
Yellow Line back to Steel or Skyway
    Green Line to Brickstown
    Brickstown to Crey's Folly

That's five. Of course that requires you to go from Green Line to Yellow Line and then Yellow Line to Green Line (well, unless you use Pocket D teleporter to get to King's Row). They're pretty far apart, so most people would do this instead:

    Brickstown to Ouroboros
    Ouroboros to Atlas Park
    Atlas Park to King's Row
    King's Row to Ouroboros
    Ouroboros to Founder's Falls
    Founder's Falls to Brickstown
    Brickstown to Greenline

Jeez, seven zone changes, just for two missions. What a pain, right? This could be easily solved by changing the Birch mission to Skyway City or Steel Canyon. You could go from Brickstown to either one, then back to Brickstown to head to Crey's Folly. See how much easier that sounds?

And this isn't in Suggestions & Ideas because it's not a suggestion or an idea, it's a statement.

    Nuke My Survey!

    Do you nuke?
    -Hell yeah

    When do you nuke?
-If I have a power to refill my endurance and a blue, every time it's up (although I wait to rush in to a fresh mob)

    Best and worst Nukes?
-Nova is the coolest looking IMO, Blizzard for pure damage + range

What other powers complement the nuke?
-Aim/Build Up, Tactics, and Assault for max damage + hit chance. Stealth and super speed so you can get right up in the mob's face for PBAoE nukes

Anything else you'ld like to add?
-Nothing is more cool than obliterating a group of enemies with a single big boom.
  23. If you set pets to passive and then tell them to stay, they will. Nothing else makes them stay for any length of time.

And yes, pets are horribly disobedient. I'm constantly setting my bots to passive just so I can get them to come next to me for Twilight Grasp's heal. It's very annoying. I REALLY wish pets listened to "goto" even when in aggressive.

The kind of situations where a tanker or scrapper is likely to need to be healed. STF, +4 missions and TFs, etc. I don't care if a squishy dies, I can resurrect them, but a tank going down in a huge mob of +4s tends to be trouble.

    That's basically what I'm after.

Maybe I'll take Heal Other on my build that has PBU and Absorb Pain on the build that will have the Psy pool...
  25. I have a 40 Empathy/Archery who I'm thinking about doing a respec on. The heal on Heal Other at this level isn't quite enough to save tankers and scrappers who are near death in just one casting. I'm wondering if taking Absorb Pain instead would be viable. I'm definitely not taking both of them.

I'm not concerned with the damage to myself, but it has a much larger recharge time than heal other, which could be bad in some situations. Any thoughts?
