If I remember correctly (can't get on to verify right now), there are both colorable and non-colorable versions of the mace at the tailor. Make sure you have the proper version selected. I know sometimes I go to the tailor and have a random face, or other costume part selected.

Nope, no luck. The guns have colorable versions, but the maces don't (or the colorable versions won't show up).
I just logged in to my Bane and tried it out, it lets me re-color all 4 mace models.
Interestingly enough it doesn't have an Arachnos general issue model and then a painted model after it like the rifles do. It just lists the Bane Spider, Wolf Spider, and Arachnos Mace A and B, and lets me color all 4.
So if it's not letting you do that I'd definitely /petition it.
Depends. I understand that the Arachnos Mace from Mace Mastery, does not.
The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

I know that I've changed the colors on my Soldier's mace before, but now the colors can't be changed. Is this a known glitch? Should I petition it or is it just going to stay this way until they fix it?
Or, even worse, are they supposed to be uncolorable? I didn't see any thing about it in any of these places:
