I never thought of that.. but you do need to be level 4 to get into pocket D, no?
-
I was really looking forward to the card delivery missions. They sounded like fun... however, as a mostly solo player, having to run the forced co-op missions before getting the attunement mission means I won't be doing many card deliveries.
There should be a new contact, maybe the "Pocket D Postmaster", who gives out the attunement missions.. AND said attunement mission should count for getting the hero/villian merits from the signature story arcs instead of being forced to do a full set of tip/morality missions. -

I was playing my Beam/Dark corr on a 5 man team last night. I was ex-ed from 18 to 13. I never had disintegration effect any critter I hit and I know I never saw it jump.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is disintegration broken when ex-ed? I didn't want to submit a bug without some confirmation this is just not my experience. -
One of my teammates was complaining about that last night. I haven't had that problem.

Great pictures!
Question: I was looking at the tech pieces - track parts. How hard would it be to get some of those things to actually move in the game?
I think it would be cool to walk into a working lab that's actually working.... -
Quote:I posted a problem with the same laptop/model a few weeks back. My problem dealt with a missing file: atioglxx.dll. Tex gave me the answer and I posted what I did in the thread. I needed to download a driver wipe program. You may not have the same problem, but doing this probably couldn't hurt.I am having the exact same issue. I am also on an ASUS laptop, the G73Jh. The only way to update the video drivers for the laptop is to update the BIOS. The game was working fine with the current video driver set up until today's patch. And now, even after re-installing the game, I'm unable to start the game.
Here's my solution:
I d/l-ed the latest AMD driver. (which was 11.10 preview)
I d/l-ed Phyxion's driver sweeper program.
Uninstalled the driver (and removed files) using the control panel's devices tab/icon.
Rebooted in safe mode. Windows re-installed the driver. I uninstalled the driver again (and removed files) from the control panel just to be safe.
Ran the sweeper program.
Rebooted.
Windows re-installed the device. However, I ran the AMD install.
Rebooted the system as directed.
Checked the device and driver details. The driver date was 10/6/11. atioglxx.dll was located in the windows/sysWOW64 directory.
Started CoX with no error! -
I do miss the Taxibots...
Back when the missions in the Hollows were at the ***-end of hell and the doors were surrounded by purples... -
Phase Shift was a toggle that let you still interact with things. (It's the only way I got the Heart of Hami badges.. once.)
There were cone enhancements.
A blaster's nuke only drained end, didn't stop you from recovering it for a stupid amount of time.
DUMPSTER DIVING!
There wasn't a cap on the number of enemies you could take out with your nuke.
No travel suppression.. for those drive-by punch and runs
The only way to get to Founders Falls was to go though Talos.. and you would inevitably be sniped the moment you got in there.
There was no Council.
The best place to level was street sweeping on a team in Perez.
4!!! instances of Atlas Park... but still only one instance of Galaxy.
The Positron TF that let you start it at level 10, but you had a mission in Boomtown, which was a hazard zone for level 12 and higher!
I STILL have the CoH Binder and Guide that was supposed to have new issues available to replace outdated material. (And the CoV one as well)
Citadel was Bastion. -
Quote:Tex.... If I were the type to have a child, I would name it after you!atioglxx.dll is part of the OpenGL drivers for your video card and it sounds like it is not getting updated properly. I think a safer course of action would be to try one of the driver sweeper tools.
That worked!!
For future reference if anyone has this problem:
I d/l-ed the latest AMD driver. (which was 11.10 preview)
I d/l-ed Phyxion's driver sweeper program.

YAY!!! -
I'll look into a driver sweeper tool.
I did, however d/l the 11.10 preview version. Looking at the suggestion given to me above, the hotfix link didn't work. But I did look to see if apioglxx.dll was in the system directory and it wasn't. So, I copied the newest version I I had of the file 10/7/11 to both the system directory and the syswow64 directory.
Still bombed. Going to try a sweeper tool and a reinstall... -
I've searched the forums and found a few threads about this, but all the threads die without an answer. Either the OP's fixed the problem or left the game.
The beta client FORCED me to upgrade my drivers and in doing so, I now get a crash every time I try to run the game. It crashes with "an error occured with apioglxx.dll."
I have uninstalled the drivers and have installed several versions 11.4, 11.7,11.8,11.9 and beta 11.10. None of them have fixed this issue. I am running on an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. There's nothing at the AMD site about that file. I don't know if the xx in the name is a place holder fora version number or an actual part of the file name.
Has anyone had/heard/fixed this problem? The game is non-playable now. I have reverted to my older laptop but I don't want to stay on that computer.
Any help would be appreciated. -
Quote:Did you ever get a resolution on this? I just started having this problem after the Beta Client forced me to update my graphics driver because it wouldn't run. (It actually popped up a window and told me I HAD to update the drivers.)NC Launcher wont open COH. Every time I click "play" it shows the loading bar and then the game crashes and an error report pops up.
"The crash occurred in atioglxx.dll."
Not sure what this means, but I have uninstalled by the launcher and coh twice to no avail.
I have installed several versions of the catalyst driver.. 11.7, 11.8, 11.9 11.4 and even 11.10 beta to no avail. A search for atioplxx.dll on the AMD site returns nothing (I don't know if the xx is a placeholder for a version number or actually part of the name).
I have had to go back to my old laptop and play on that.. it's ticking me off!
Any help would be appreciated!

F.Y.I. Not thinking that the bat aura was part of the halloween costume package, I was able to puchase both from the store. Shouldn't the bat aura have been cancelled out?

We did have the year that all the bodies of water froze...
And isn't it winter time when going after the Winterlord? -
I don't have a problem with the fact the devs want us to prove our alignment before we can receive an AM.
My issue is with the fact that I have several characters that I don't want to change alignment. Having to run 11 missions to prove that is silly.
If this has been brought up before, I missed it and sorry to re-propose it. I think they need to have a single "loyalty" mission that you could get from a trainer or even a SF/TF contact. You can run it once and it proves your loyalty/alignment.
It could be something as easy as a contact in Pocket D who gives out the mission.. the "same" mission for both heroes and villains, just a different outcome. e.g. Save people from a burning building/set said building on fire.
You wouldn't get an AM or anything special from it, it would just confirm your alignment. However, if you run a tip mission that's not of your alignment, the confirmation is lost and you have to do a full set of tips+ morality to get it back. -
The ghost image problem cleared up on a restart of the game... It was just really wierd.
-
Okay.. this just got screwier. I logged out exactly where you see her in the pictures. When I logged back in, I was in the building across from where I entered the court and the problem was gone.
-
This is really bad.. and my drivers are up to date. I've never had this issue before and I don't know what to do. I logged in with a character in the hospital and didn't move. Logged back out and logged in with a new character in PI. I noticed there was a light ghost image of the hospital lobby overlayed on the world. You can see a faint emergency sign in the upper left corner and the elevator doors on the right. (See below)
I went out the door and then flew up. The ghost imaged changed to the PI Courtyard that I got the moment the screen came back.
It turned into night and the image REALLY got bad.
My card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 and the drivers are up to date. I don't have this issue with anything else. -
Quote:Back in my day, we would do Random Saturday. The organizer had numbers lists containing, Origin, AT, M/F/H, Primary, and Secondary. Using a random number generator, everyone was assigned a character and traits based on the lists. Then in the creator, the rule was when you got to the costume part, you would hit the random button once. That was the character you had to play for the day.You can hit the clear button to do all of it, but... jeez, some of the Costume Sets just look -bad-. Especially the legacy ones. Pilot, Leather Straps, Viking, Villain, Tech Bot...
Man, most of those characters were butt-ugly. A team of 8 randoms was a sight....
