  1. What exacltly is the minimum requirement to complete Tarixus' last mission? The "Forge the Blackwand" mission.

    I've been in the mission for a while now, and I don't see a boss, a glowy... is it a Kill all? I'm running out of time...

    I spoke with her at level 30, and she said something akin to "You are not strong enough. Come back when you have attained level of level", which I imagine is a text bug.

    Now, if I was of appropriate level at 30, she would have said "You will need 4 heroes to attempt this". Is it confirmed on Live that 30-40 is the level range for the second Respec? And what about the third Respec? Sparcetrial mentions you can "Re-Make yourself" 3 times.

    Yes.

    SFs, the Kill counter is on everyone, not just the "Mission Holder" in typical missions.

    I like this idea.

    But,l I think the whole point, is they want us having to rely on the random drop system, and they NEVER want players playing at their full capacity... even with ED.
  7. Wow, my thread blew up after Posi posted in it!

    Perhaps its due to me soloing missions on the Rugged equivalent... do the Infamy rewards line up as they should for the increased level?

    Say you kill an Even Boss, and get 300 XP, 300 Infamy.

    If for fighting a +1 Boss, you get double XP at 600, is the Infamy adjusted accordingly, and rewarding you 600 Infamy?

    I'm just seeing if the ratio of XP:Infamy rewards are constant. If not, I could be levelling faster from the increased XP, while not gaining the same amount of Infamy if I would only fight Evens.

    So... it's intended for us only to be able to afford like 5 SOs at level 22 before going broke? And I can't even get my new costume!

    Well, store enhancement prices were actually raised in Issue 4, I believe. This post is to get some opinions on if people see the new prices as a detriment. Only being able to buy 5 SOs out of a needed 15 (at the least) is harsh, in my opinion.

    And, I've been here since CoH Day 1. I did the financing, not the leeching.
  10. I've heard some bad stories about the Respec TF. Could someone please break it down, and give some tips?

    I'd like to know what I'm facing before I embark.
  11. 350K? How? Did you do the first Strike Force? Level mostly in debt? I don't die a lot, and generally solo. I've done most of the story arcs to this point.

    So, what are your money making secrets?
  12. No one was "Freaking out", ha.

    And, I don't have a one of my enhancements ++ slotted. At 22, I could afford 5 SOs with 190K or so. Everything else is shoddy TOs and DOs, and within 2 levels, they will be red.

    And, I posted that I sell every oppurtunity.

    I do not remember being this short on funds in CoH. I know I couldn't buy EVERY needed enhancement at the Upgrade levels, but I could afford way more than 5.
  13. Does this just seem off to anyone else? Its either the rewarding, or the prices, but DOs and SOs are nigh impossible to come by in CoV.

    On my 22 Robo/Trap MM, I could afford 5 SOs... Leading up to that point, I had only bought about 4 DOs at 12, and 5 DOs at 18, while selling every single time I got filled,a nd living on my weak Training enhancement drops.

    If they want the drops to mean something, perhaps they need to recode the dropping system. Make sure you're rewarded enhancemetns of your Origin at least 50% of the time, and perhaps a sliding system as you advance in level...

    Tranings are 100% of the drops until level 14 or so. Then its Trainging 75%, DO 25% until level 20, and then the roles reverse. After 25, we get DOs 60%, SOs 20%, and TOs 20%. After 30, it becomes SOs 60%, DOs 30%, and TOs 10% (Althought DO and TO drops are not generally necessary post-30, I don't see them getting rid of them).

    Any thoughts?
  14. We need more info out there about these Contacts - I am level 18. When I got 15, I was doing missions from Willy Wheeler, who gave me Seer Marino as a Contact, I did her missions, and the rest of Willy's, and was without a contact at level 18. I did more Newspaper missions, after my next heist, I pick another contact - Dmitri or Dr. Percey. I pick the DR, because I see she has a badge mission. I go talk to the Doctor, still level 18, and she won't give me any missions, just passes me on to Marshal Brass...

    Is that intended?! I JUST got her as a contact...

    We are just getting started in COV, and have about 15 members. We're light-RP (As in about half of the members DO RP, and some don't). We recently purchased our base, complete with "Worktable" and "Pile of Dirt" so far, we should be up and running with Energy within a week or so.

    All level ranges welcome, highest in the VG is 18 now. A Mature venere is mandatory, but sportsman playfulness is the norm. Don't join if you are offended by "Your Mom" jokes...

    Training Room should be getting a version soon where this is fixed.

    It was not noticed until it was "too late" to change the final-live build. Please play with it on Training Room to see if your Masterminds have become TOO powerful.

    Another bug (also being fixed) is when MM Henchmen can't affect other players in PVP.

    I don't think they will be - the randomness of their actions will always prevent overpowering nature, I think.

    Its always the Max level.

    Posi's TF is 10-15, and all of the enemies are 15-16. Thats why its always better to try later on in the level range, especially in the early levels.

    I've alluded to this in a couple of places, but I wanted to describe something we'll be doing for Super Reflexes quite soon...

    Super Reflexes Auto powers (Agile, Dodge, and Lucky) now add some minor damage resistance. This Damage resistance starts at 0%, but improves as the caster loses HP. The Resistance kicks in at 60% HP (when HP bar first changes color) and markedly increases at 40% and 20% (again, when the bar changes color). We have not yet determined the exact values.

    This change is in addition to the recent modification that gave most Defense Primary and Secondary powers resistance to Defense Debuffs (self Defense powers).

    Passive Defense only provides 5%. Please let the Base of this resistance buff be AT LEAST that much.

  22. Have you ever played a non-Elude SR?

    Thats the Ice Tank that PMM is defending.

    And my lvl 32 SR gets eaten in the arena, and thats with the max Defense I can have for that level.
  23. The Citadel TF is still very, very boring...

    Maybe because I've done it so many times. Maybe because you expect so much from the Council. Maybe its because you just got out of Striga, where the Council rule with an Iron, Awesome Fist. Maybe because its THE SAME FRIKKIN' BASE OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! Try a change of scenery! Throw a couple of Outdoors like were added to Sister Psyche, something!

    Ok, here's some insight into the design process.

    When badges were created for Issue 2, an Accolade was ordered that required several pieces outside of Design in order to happen. That Accolade was called the Task Force Commander badge. It was to grant you a costume piece as it's "special thing", much like the Croatoa Witches' Hat.

    The requirements for this Accolade were to be the Freedom Phalanx Task Force Badges. Other Task Forces would not be required, even though they were being released parallel to the badge system. So as not to confuse the players, the other TF's were intentionally not given badges.

    So we got the Freedom Phalanx Task Force badges, but the Accolade needed Tech (rewarding costume piece) and 3D Art (the new costume piece itself). It didn't get either so the Accolade never happened.

    Time moves forward. We eventually get the abilit to reward costume pieces, but when it came time to revisit the badge it just seemed like a bad idea in retrospect (especially with all the badge-giving TF's now), so the 3D art was never ordered.

    You guys should still do it! For some reason, I do all of the TFs on my Heroes, without really knowing why... The badges aren't that great anymore, and that has got to be 6 of the most time consuming Badges in the game. If that Accolade was added, and I've done them all SO MANY TIMES, then I would look like the Genius, and those who mocked me the fool! Wahhahahahaha!

    Also: Posi, your TF could do with a large encounter... perhaps Dr. V again.
