One of my characters yesterday went from level 9 to 16 within the span of a single AE mission. Total time spent was around 30 minutes.
The clincher is that he was level pacted, so wasn't even getting full xp.
I'm not going to enter any value judgments here about farming, the morality of gaining fast levels, and so on. I just think that the XP system needs further review because as long as its possible to gain levels so quickly, the strategy of playing radio missions or contacts is pretty much moot. In particular, the ability to auto-SK in the AE seems broken.
As it is, I'm afraid I'm going to have to avoid using the AE in teams at all until something is done. The reason is that I'm afraid I'll accept an invite to a team, like this one, that appears to offer "too much" XP and then get in trouble for abuse. I didn't join the team with the idea that I'd be exiting the map in the double-digits, and only played the mission one time.
I should further note that nothing about this mission was particularly more "farm like" than any other mission. The levels came because a single level 50 character was able to solo the map without any assistance from the rest of the team, and my character gained levels from the sheer number of enemies defeated. There were no obvious exploits employed. The system is just handing out too much XP in certain situations.

Level 9 to 16 in 1 mission not bad dude.
There are other missions you can do with a huge map and go from 1-28 in 30 mins. Just play around with it.

I understand that the MA is meant for players to use this as a tool for writing thier own arcs and not as an exploit.
My idea is in two parts:
1) Only Developer's Choice and special authors' missions should offer XP (other missions could still offer badges and tickets).
2) Developers offer a more loose qualification for "Developer's Choice": Something like Dev Choice: Accepted and Dev Choice: Exceptional. There would have to be some nomination process allowing for streamlining what missions could be promoted by the Devs. Alternatively, perhaps a committee of players could be appointed to oversee this type of process - allowing for further player interaction in the game!
This way creative, non-exploitive type missions could still be given an acceptable rating (giving XP) while farming (or other exploitive) missions would simply never be qualified.
You can still powerplay through missions. But then again, you could always have done that. So players would still have the intended use of the MA, still have XP from appropriate missions while undoing a bit of the exploitive behavior.
Bonus Idea: 3) One might also look into the SK/LK system as well. This has been a heavily exploited feature in the MA. Perhaps keep this feature in un-qualified MA arcs, but have more of the standard SK/LK-ing system for Accepted and Exceptional arcs.

You can put syrup on garbage to mask the taste but it's still garbage.

My fire/psi permadom still farms and clears a mish set for 8 solo. The shockwave nerf slowed me down a lil bit but it's still the best farming build for villains.
The dev's make me laugh... really. They are totally breaking this game. -
We all know the new pvp is garbage & not fun at all.

Sirens Call: Both sides stalkers maybe some dev blasters. Pvp will be totally invisible.
RV: Both hero & villain will be full of thermal corruptors & stalkers. LOL

Both sides will hibernate/phasenoob & run.
Do you really think the current pvp is fun? I sure don't. The old pvp was 100 times better.
Ive been PVE since the devs ruined pvp in this game. The most important thing about pvp is each AT's uniqueness & what it brings to a team, the developers squashed that!
I hope you get some new customers with double xp weekend. LOL! -
I have 3 lvl 50 defender's. Match up a defender & dom in pvp see who wins, the dom will kill the defender in 2 sec's.
If people think there is nothing wrong with defenders I don't know what they are smoking. lol
I'd say defenders might be dead last or tie with a WS/PB on the pvp scale. It's very sad!
Defender are & have been useless in pvp since these garbage game ruining nerfs. -
Since the dev's buffed dom's to borderline ridiculous the dev's really need to give/fix defenders some love now.
Defender damage is very poor with lack of control & yes super squishy.
Give defenders love! This is why you don't see defenders in pvp anymore! -

But wait... it will get worse when Rouge comes out and both sides are 99% stalkers. All regen stalkers will be forced to reroll due to lack of perception.
I will predict RV will consist of nothing but stalkers "non-regen" and thermal corruptors for "heat exhaustion".
Now both sides will hibernate, then phaseshift and run away...
How much of that can you stomach on top of the already garbage pvp nerf system? -

Phaseshift should either have a daily use limit, hourly use limit or be taken out of pvp. -
What about dark melee/fire armor? 2 heals and 2 end restore powers?

Just came back after a 1 year break and this new pvp system is horrible!
What kind of pvp is this now??? If the dev's attempted to balance pvp then they should put a daily use limit on phaseshift or take it completely out of pvp.
From what Ive seen phaseshift is being more abused then ever.
This is what villains are doing now "as you probably know".
1) attack 1 or 2 times
2) Hybernate
3) phaseshift then runaway.
I'll stick to PVE for now or until they fix this broken pvp system, or play CO when it comes out.
The new players don't know what pvp used to be so they can't compare it to anything, so maybe they don't know how terrible it is now. -

whats the current FOTM pvp build? Came back to the game after 1 1/2 years and the new pvp nerfs are horrible.

I just came back after 1 1/2 years and pvp is so much worse with all the nerfs, everything I have is getting owned by corruptors stalkers and doms.

My ice/stone melee used to own but now it can't even kill a corruptor. I stood toe to toe with a sonic thermal and it killed me so fast, the damage I was doing was so poor.
If not a tank what FOTM pvp class is good now? this new pvp system is so horrible =[ -
All my attacks are slotted 2 acc, 3 end mod.
I made a electric/kin defender (level 37) for pvp, I slotted all attacks with 3 end mods & it hardly drains any endurance.
I made this character because of the attack description the game had, I'm really disappointed.
Maybe they should change the description for the attacks to read: "Drains such a small amount of endurance you can barely tell the difference & the person your fighting laughs at your damage & laughable end drain."
I'm not talking about the kinetics part of my build, I know transferance works well.
Am I doing something wrong? -

Get rid of ranged attacks on custom melee mobs
Most of the time you get bombarded with ranged attacks from melee mobs, just standing there range attacking you, regular missions dont do this. -
I've got silver and gold rewards I dont see the difference, they are rares. Am I missing something?

Tanks will replace brutes and MM's. Scrappers will replace brutes.
You'll see a lack of brutes, & silly brutes who think they can tank when the hero side has the real tanks.
All I have to say is QQ & GL brutes. LOL
I giggle when I see a brute jump into a group of bosses on AE and get instantly crushed. lol
They need to pop purples to handle what a Tanker can. -
A Stone tanker is best because it's the closest thing in the game that feels like a hack, you NEVER die!

I had a glitch today and even when I restarted my pc. I also clicked verify files at the startup screen.
All letters in the game have lines through them even when I type, I cant read anything.
Is there a fix for this? -

I can see the point of that. What Ive been doing with bronze recipe rewards is using tickets for those and crafting and either using what I need or selling the crafted recipes I don't need.
They will have a tuff time trying to find some kind of nerf for AE that won't hurt the players that don't use it for PL.
If they nerf tickets then no one will play AE anymore & it will become a ghost town.
My whole point is even a PL'er can use a regular type AE mission and farm it just like a non AE. The amount of tickets gained per map isnt much so why are they even stressing it???
