  1. ... You do realize the last post in this thread happened over 4 years ago, right?
  2. The idea's come up before, yes, but I think it'd be more trouble than it's worth. Google Spreadsheets aren't exactly friendly in regards to formatting... :/

If you want to discuss this further, PM me.
  3. That wasn't the question, Graystar.

To the OP: I just tested it with a Vigilante for you. I was definitely able to access Vladimir Zolner's part of the SSA in Sharkhead.

There's nothing wrong with having a preference for one character gender over another, but there is something wrong with saying you're entitled to getting entire costume set releases for females only because of that preference. I don't say guys should get more costume options just because nearly all my characters are male; I say they should get nearly as many as females.

I'm okay with a slight preference for female options, since they do wear things that men don't and still wear most of the stuff that men do. But I'd say that men should get at least 8 or 9 costume pieces for every 10 women get. Giving women 10 and men nothing is not acceptable.

On a side note, I just checked... I actually do have 5 female characters, and none of them have been logged in since I went down the list to get everyone on my account the 7th Anniversary badges.
  5. Super Reflexes. I can't stand the all or nothing aspect of it--it's either stupidly powerful or completely useless. Both my main characters use it, since Willpower wasn't available at either the release of CoH OR CoV, and I would gladly switch either of them to Willpower (or even Energy Aura) if powerset respecs became a thing.

Sets that I've never played that I won't: Kinetic Melee (hate the audio), Fiery Melee (fire is overplayed), most ranged damage sets (though I do like my Dual Pistols/Rad Corruptor and my Rad/Mind Blaster).

Also, I saw someone else say Tankers. Yeah. I'm not a fan, either.

Moo, I truly consider you a good friend, but I WILL headbutt you if you ever say this in person.
  7. Funny story about my name... I managed to get out to Comic Con this year and met a bunch of the devs, including Matt "Positron" Miller. I introduced myself to him, and he recognized me from the forums, and then he saw my name tag...

Matt: "Wait. Your name is actually 'Chad Gulzow,' and your character name is 'Chad Gulzow-Man?'"
    Me: "Yup!"
Matt: ... *gives a look that says, "It is taking all the tact I have to not facepalm right now"*

Read the EULA sometime. Anything you create, say or do in game becomes their intellectual property.

Okay, I actually laughed out loud at that. Mad props.

Nope, I don't believe for a moment it's not possible. I know it would take longer--perhaps months longer--but it's completely possible.

But don't forget... they had some pretty sweeping changes done to the unpopular Circle of Thorns revamp within a couple weeks of the pictures leaking at Comic Con. I know they weren't "finished" in the Comic Con build, but they took a lot of player feedback into consideration prior to the final release.

once it hits beta, it's just going to be tweaked to make sure it works, doing something like making it for males when it's ported from an all female NPC group is not something they can just flip a switch and do. They know we want Carnival masks for males, and probably down the line we'll get something similar, but your expectations were just too high if that's what you were hoping for.
I would have been perfectly happy waiting for them to convert/create a few costume pieces for males. I don't see any reason to rush things out the way they have been, but they keep deciding to push these out as-is anyway.

I didn't have much (if any) problem with the Gunslinger set because both genders got a roughly equivalent number of pieces (I won't argue that males got the better end of things in that case, though), but I consider this Carnival of Light release unacceptable and have no qualms about voicing that opinion.

The only things they can do to change that opinion are to release a male-only costume set in the very near future or re-release the CoL set with a decent-sized portion of male costume pieces--several masks and the sash at minimum--added. I'd highly prefer the latter.

    OP is edited, enjoy all!

EDIT: I also cleaned up the Inspirations section of the spreadsheet under BUFFS & BOOSTS, since they recently had a significant price drop and only the large 5 packs remain.
  12. I'd really like to see the old Darkness powers updated with new graphics as well. As an option, of course--like Dechs, I have a DB/DA Scrapper who relies on the "fuzziness" of the original Dark Armor graphics to look like sand.

On the other hand, I've got a vampire-ish Fire/Dark Corruptor whose Dark powers I wanted to make look like blood, and instead it just looks horrible and kind of goofy. Using something like the more oozy, drippy effects that Darkness Control has would make it look awesome.
  13. Would have loved to be there tonight... I really do miss DC, and think this is a great way to honor his memory. But I've got family in town and will be doing dinner with them this evening.
  14. Do not like. No parts for males. I can count the number of female characters I've got on one hand. I could even take an axe to a couple fingers and still be okay.

Unhappy Chad is unhappy. Sure, people have been unhappy with some of the previous packs (most recently, Gunslinger) for conceptual reasons, but at least both genders received approximately the same number of costume parts. In fact, more often than not, females get more costume options than men anyway--in the Halloween pack, they got every piece that males got, PLUS the Medusa face and two hairstyles, and they got a bunch of options in the Barbarian pack that males did not.

And as others have pointed out in the other feedback threads, you DO have male Carnival of Light characters, dressed in touched-up Legacy Chain garb. Why didn't we get access to those costume pieces in this bundle?

    Preeeeetty much.

The only real question is whether the OP was being obtuse intentionally or genuinely oblivious.
  16. Rod hit the major pro for the store bough enhancements, but he didn't hit the con: they can't be upgraded with Enhancement Boosters the way regular IOs can.

Because they didn't have a working 4-legged critter rig until very recently. (The first time we ever saw it was the Halloween trial, which means it was probably gotten into a semi-working state in August or September.)

    i22 AE Changes?

Nothing major so far. The new/upgraded Banished Pantheon enemies will be available in AE, and they changed the location of the rotation arrows when editing critters.
  19. You know the drill. Tuesday. New stuffs.

Today, we get Signature Story Arc 1, Part 5, in which someone actually does die. You probably already know who, but I'm not gonna spoil it if you don't. All I'll say about the matter is, "Good riddance."

We also got the Carnival of Light costume set for 400 PP. Meh. No costume parts for males. Devs hate dudes. Individual prices below:

There don't appear to be any sales that I can find this week.

I will update the OP with the info in this post later this afternoon. I'm running late for a contract job as it is.
  20. A) You don't like it, take it up with Ellis Island. The family's kinda been stuck with it for at least 4 generations.

    B) Three? Pffffffft. More like 7. And that's just on Victory.

  22. Wasn't working for anyone. Also, the beta server and test servers aren't the same thing, and this isn't the right forum to discuss beta issues.
  23. They were only available for the Black Friday sales period. Basically, the week after Thanksgiving.

Check the link in my sig. It's more or less correct about what's in the market currently (aside from the Inspiration section... still waiting to hear back as to whether the missing items there are coming back or not).
  24. He's a magical psychopath who killed all his friends and family in an effort to catch the eye of another magical psychopath. Sure, he's a very one dimensional character, but it's a game about comic book-style heroes and villains--a genre filled to the brim with such characters. Look on the bright side, he appears in what, two arcs in a zone that's easy to outlevel anyway?

What exactly are you attempting to accomplish with this thread, anyway? It's not like a muddled up post full of misspellings and grammatical errors is going to carry a lot of weight as a literary critique...
  25. I see it. Paragon Picks > Bundles > Tab 4

Also Costumes > Costume Sets > Costume Bundles > Tab 4
