  1. SSA1:6 is NOT currently showing in the market.

Maybe next week, but probably the week after... SSA1:5 didn't show up until the third Tuesday in January (the 17th).

I know... it feels like longer, what with the way they've been throwing Statesman's death in our faces...

(As always, I'm working on a write-up of this week's additions, which you'll find shortly in the link at the bottom of my signature.)

  3. Have you run Check Disk on your hard drive to make sure that's not the problem?

Open "Computer," right-click on your C: drive and select "Properties," then go to the Tools tab. Click the "Check Now" button under the Error-checking heading, and when it tells you that it will schedule a run for the next time you restart your computer, do so.

Then go do something else for the next 15-30 minutes; it'll take a little while to finish.

    SPOILER:

Because with Darren Wade running around with Statesman's powers and the knowledge of how to kill an Incarnate, it's smarter for him to keep out of the way until the current threat has been eliminated. (I'd imagine Recluse is also somewhat occupied with the events taking place in the Spring Fling event.)

But other than the fact that we know that the Freedom Phalanx isn't going away and is getting at least one new member in the near future, we don't yet know how the next two chapters of the current story arc will play out, nor what comes beyond. It is entirely likely that we'll see some new blood in both the hero and villain factions trying to take advantage of the new power vacuum.

Narp. Freedom Phalanx is staying around, and getting a new member (who happens to be an existing NPC in-game) to boot at some point during Issue 22.

They've also said they're going to look into possibly having a contest to have players vote on a new member.

  7. Did an Eden Trial last night. Quartz emanators were indeed dropped, and they chewed up my /SR Stalker.

(This happened both in the Eden zone and inside the trial map.)
  8. Once upon a time, I only had melee characters just like the OP.

My cure was Controllers... especially /Kinetics Controllers, though I enjoy a good /Rad as well. I found my Dual Pistols/Rad Corruptor was pretty fun, too.

I'm really looking forward to how my Grav/Kin performs after the buffs in i22.

The sale price will remain in effect through Monday of next week. On Tuesday, the Rare IOs will be back to their full price.
That makes a startling amount of sense. I never actually looked at the rarity of the individual IO.

    Thanks for the info!

Mine doesn't do that... it changes from miles to yards once you get within about half a mile of the destination.

  12. I started as Kat/SR on both my Scrapper (April 2004) and Stalker (October 2005), and that's how they'll always remain unless they add Complete Powerset Respecs or Badge Transfers somewhere down the line. I simply have too many badges that just aren't possible to get again to delete and re-roll either of my mains.

Street Justice/Willpower or /Energy Aura fit the characters much better, though.

... Okay, THREE axes and FOUR swords.

Hope you feel better soon, Snowy.

Yeah, but the Vanguard pack doesn't have that limitation, does it? It gives you every possible costume piece you could buy using Vanguard Merits.
  14. Heck, when I need to get here, I just click the link in my own signature. >_>;

But yeah, I noticed that this thread got stickied about two weeks ago, though I'm not sure how long prior to that it actually happened.

Yeahhh... not entirely sure what's up with that. There's also what, two broadsword models attached to Cimeroran content? Also an axe, I think...?

Y U no add them to the bundle, Paragon Studios? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  16. Oh, and BONUS REMINDER:

Today's the last day to purchase the Mini Snow Beast pet, the Holiday Costume Pack, the New Years Item Pack and (for those non VIPs out there) the "Who Will Die" Part 1-4 bundle.

You've had more than a month to purchase most of these, so you've got no one to blame but yourself if you don't grab it before the day is up.

Try again after today's patch? If it's still broken, post in the official feedback thread.

I don't think we get too many rednames reading this thread...
  18. Tuesday! New stuffs day!!!

Today we get the Roman costume bundle for 400PP, which includes the 15 standard costume items unlocked from playing the Cimeroran content, plus the 7 shield models unlocked there AND an all-new original "Cupid's Bow" model for the Archery/Trick Arrow power sets. I'm pretty okay with this release. Not arguing that it would have been crazy nice to add a "Global Cimerora Access Pass" to the bundle, though... These items will only be available through February 29, so if you want them, grab 'em quick!

We've ALSO got a few new store-bought Enhancements on special right now: the Decimation (25-40) and Devastation (30-50) Ranged Damage sets and the Positron's Blast (20-50) Targetted AoE set are available for 50% of their "normal" market price until Monday, February 6 at approximately 11:59 PM. (Currently unknown as to whether they will be completely removed from the store at that time, but it seems likely given the history of such set sales.)

Will edit the OP and spreadsheet over the course of the day as I have time.

EDIT: Done. And YES, Snow Globe, I am aware that Decimation (1 of 6) says its normal price is 100 and it's on sale for 100. As of when I wrote this update, that's how it was listed in the store.
  19. Called it. Roman stuff is in the market now.

No, but apparently we do get to hook Lord Recluse up with a girlfriend.

Basically what ShadowBlaze said, with the addendum that I believe they said that set was still in the design stage and hadn't even been modeled yet. I don't think we'll be seeing it until i22.

I think the only way to get the bow may be to purchase it. Unless I'm wrong, the rest can be unlocked through running the ITF a couple times.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pocket D club gear following next week, personally... since that's probably when the Spring Fling will start. I can't think of anything else that's been officially tested yet, other than the Super Packs (which I'm guessing will be launched alongside i22).
  22. Well, the best places to get tips are either places with high prices (like a super fancy restaurant) or places with a lot of in-and-out traffic (like, say, Golden Corral or The Sizzler).

In the latter case, you're busier but generally expected to do less, and you can probably expect to earn about $1 per customer you service on top of your regular wages. That might not sound like a lot, but if you average a dollar for every person whose drinks you fill up, you can rack up close to $100 per dinner shift. It's a good way to earn a living while you're just starting out and/or looking for other regular employment, as the money-making shifts tend to be at dinner time when businesses are closed anyways.

In the former case, you'll have few tables and be expected to practically wait on them hand and foot, but you'll average something crazy like $40+ per table. You'll also get to rub elbows with big money, potentially giving you a leg up on future career options if you manage to get a few regulars with whom you build a comfortable level of dialog... and even if you're not looking to move on, your regulars will generally tip better.

Of course, the cornerstone of getting tips is to provide the best service you can, politely and with a smile. Practice good hygiene and keep your dress (or uniform, depending on where you work) as clean as you are able. And a final pointer: when it comes to tips, I always look to make sure that my server is keeping my drink refilled and is prompt when picking up and returning my credit card/change when I pay the bill--do those well, and you're likely to get a 25% tip out of me.

I hope this has helped. Good luck getting those tips!

    Too early for SSA#6
I think too early too for Pocked D costume pieces or Roman pack.

Or maybe Im wrong and is just the Spring event... But it seems like next week would be more appropiate date.
    Bets?
Yeah, I knew Beastyle already said it's not, but they haven't done the pre-download for the new issue yet, so that pretty much rules it out.

As for being "too early" for the Pocket D or Roman costume pieces, beta currently says the Roman pieces are only available until Feb 20, 2012. I feel pretty strongly that's what we're getting in the store tomorrow.
  25. Does that Defense Debuff Resistance really matter if I'm going to be playing mostly on teams or farming Harvey's demons?

I mean, yeah, I know there will be occassional cascading defense failures on an ITF (which I love to run), but if I'm not fighting Cimerorans or Malta solo at level 50, how often am I really going to run into critters that debuff my defense?
