DE Guardians and quartz?

i dont usually see them cause the guardians are primary targets for that group so i always kill them first before they have a chance to summon their emanator
i do still see them now and then if i leave them out too long
Did an Eden Trial last night. Quartz emanators were indeed dropped, and they chewed up my /SR Stalker. 
(This happened both in the Eden zone and inside the trial map.)

Interesting.
Most of my encounters with DE lately have been in tip missions and a couple of times I tried to get quartz to drop by aggroing the group but not touching the Guardians, with no results.

I've recently realized that I haven't seen a DE guardian drop a quartz eminator for a while now. I've seen the trees, cairns, and fungi drop, but not the quartz? Has anyone else noticed this?
