  1. Bleh, I've only got 5 level 50s, and only 3 of them are +3 now. I think one of the others is +1 and the other one only barely has Alpha unlocked.

Not arguing the others, though I'd probably add ToGf and maybe KI:U to that list.

Damz said BIG games, not crappy poorly-implemented remakes of games that were crappy and poorly-implemented when they were released 9 years ago.

Seriously... that was one of the worst games I have ever had the displeasure of playing, and I've not played an entry in that long-running franchise since.

Should have hit the store exactly as you were writing that post. It's live now. Check the link in my sig.
  5. Tuesday again... that means it's New Stuffs Day!

This week, we get the new Imperial Dynasty costume set, with 25 new costume items and one new sword (usable with the Broadsword, Dual Blades and Katana power sets). Individual items and prices are as follows:

For sales, we've got 25% off of extra costume slots 6-10--remember, these are global, not per character. The extra costume slots are normally 800PP and are on sale for 600PP for the next week.

Additionally, Costume Change Tokens are on sale for 75% off, and are now 10PP.

EDIT: OP has been updated, spreadsheet was already done earlier tonight (minus the prices). Much as I'd like to go to bed, my roommate broke her toilet right as I finished updating, and I had to fix it and clean up the mess, and now my PJs are soaked with toilet water and need to be washed...

    Why me?

  7. Aw man, there goes the closest thing I have to a kindred spirit on the team. You will be missed, bro.

    *sniffle, salute*
  8. All three of those are fantastic, but I'm extra-impressed by the name of #2. Way to go, people!

The Dual and Team Inspirations were changed last month. They got rid of the 1x and 3x bundles altogether and significantly dropped the price of the 5x bundles. They used to cost up to 120PP apiece... now they're like 75PP for 5 at the most.

Of course, then Golden Girl will complain that she could use those costume parts too, even though she only has one character and is always wearing the same costume.

Actually, as I understand it, it turned out the Winter Event halo thing was a bug; they were always intended to be recolorable, but they person who actually designed them goofed a bit on the implementation.

No other purchasable one-off powers can be recolored. There are posts regarding the color of the Rocket Board and Flying Carpet powers to this effect nearly every day.

As someone who purchased a Hero Gear Kit, I'm okay with putting Power Slide, Cape of the Four Winds and the "VIP" badge in the market. As someone who doesn't have the special Arachnos cape, I'm okay with that going in the market, too.

Not really a discussion for this thread, but why would it? Is there really any reason that the Katana/Super Reflexes Scrapper I made in 2004 shouldn't be able to keep all his progress when switching to Street Justice/Willpower now?

A Power Set Change Token would really only benefit players who are attached to characters that they don't feel are properly represented by the power set choices they made at creation, or those who didn't have access to the newer power sets because they simply didn't exist when the character was made. I would expect it to have a price point of 1200-1600 PP, and I would probably purchase at least two of them if they were made available in the future.

It would have to be expensive enough that people wouldn't just get them to play "CEBR" characters to 50 before switching to their original intended power sets... that much I will agree with. But I don't really buy the argument that people would stop making alts. If you're a VIP, you've got 12 "free" slots per server, and if you REALLY want a new 50 you can have one within 12 or so hours of power leveling (also not a discussion for this thread). If you're NOT a VIP, then 1600 PP will allow you to make five more characters, so unless you're absolutely obsessed with a single character, Character Slot Tokens are a better buy.

If you want to save time change your alignment with Alignment tokens.

Seems like a no-brainer why we shouldn't or couldn't have both options.
    Basically this.

Also, if I recall, the Alignment Change Token came about from a discussion at the recent Player Summit when someone brought up the topic of "things people would want to purchase in the store as a matter of convenience." Cimerora/Midnighter access was also discussed.

My only issue is the price point. 800 PP is simply too expensive for me to ever consider spending on a single-use item like this. I was personally expecting them to launch for around 100/200 PP, and I'm also a little surprised that there's no option to buy in stacks of 5 like most other consumables.
  17. Tuesday again! New Stuffs day!

Today, we get the Alignment Change Tokens added to the market. Using one will allow you to instantly change your character from Hero/Vigilante to Villain, or Villain/Rogue to Hero without having to do any tip missions or wait for the tip cooldown periods. They cost 800 Paragon Points apiece. I'm going to refrain from commenting about that price here...

Additionally, Signature Story Arc 1: Episode #6 is available today! What new twist awaits us in the ongoing "Who Will Die?" story arc?

For sales, we've got the Going Rogue Alignment System for 900PP and Character Rename Tokens for 600PP--25% off their normal prices.

Additionally, the Rare IO sets are back in the store (and have actually been for a few weeks). From what I understand, this is a trial--there's still a bit of debate within the development team whether this will be a permanent addition to the Paragon Market or not. If you want any, grab them while they're here!

EDIT: Spreadsheet and OP have been updated. Night peeps!
  18. Since nobody has directly mentioned this in the thread:

When fighting Trapdoor, you have to defeat his bifurcation duplicates--their presence boosts the original's regeneration rate immensely, and his hitpoints will regenerate faster than you can damage him if you ignore them.

As long as you keep an eye out for the clones appearing and take them out quickly (they're only minion class, so they only need a few attacks each), you should have no problem defeating him on a Brute.

I've soloed him on an admittedly small stable of Incarnate characters, but only one of my Controllers required pinning him in the lava because of low damage output... every other character I have was able to defeat him in actual combat. (I generally had more trouble with the boss of the following mission, which is just a normal boss encounter.)

  21. Sounds like network lag, though it could possibly be the drivers you're using for your Radeon card. (If you're not already using them, try the 11.9 Radeon drivers.)
  22. They've said before in discussions that they want to wrap up the Praetorian story line before they start releasing more Incarnate slots. We know it's still going strong in i22, so my current estimate is that there will be two more Incarnate Trials in i22.5 (guessing Chimera and maybe Infernal, Shadowhunter and/or Black Swan will be the targets), then i23 will be our final battle with Emperor Cole.

It's possible they may give us the next two slots as either the prelude to or result of that showdown, but from what they've said in passing, I would assume the slots would be in the following issue.

If the developers' event avatars have anything to say about it, it looks like we might see 50+8 at some point; that's the highest player character we've seen in-game. (That is obviously not set in stone to be the max; we may go further, or may stop at +4 as Matt suggests.)

How about a "melting" Costume Change Emote, where your character melts into a puddle, then reforms in their new costume?

Or maybe a "thorny" Aura, where thorns sprout randomly out of your body, then slowly recede before sprouting again in a different location?
