  1. I'll sign up as standby on Alpdruck (Fire/Kin Controller), since I likely won't have the Longbow or Cimeroran Lore up to T3.

(UPDATE: Got T3 Longbow Cataphract & Nullifier... still trying to get Hybrid unlocked and slotted.)

Oh snap. Open mouth, insert foot!

Technically it was supposed to be the start of an on-going project to fix PVP... but immaturity and impatience caused those bridges to be burned from both ends.
  4. Because it got used plenty for the promoting Mecha costume set, maybe?
  5. Signature Story Arcs were promised to be a monthly content addition independent of issue releases. We went two months (April and May) without any SSAs. Many people thus think we're overdue for more SSA content and are very happy to see it start up again.

SSA 2 is also specifically designed to pick up in the aftermath of Darrin Wade's plot, which sounds like it should be exactly what you are asking for.

Except the bit about "taking a break from SSAs to focus on Signature Hero arcs." The point of SSAs is to push players to the forefront of the story. SSA 1 had the signature characters treating us as equals at first, but by the end, they were all looking to us to save the world. That's the kind of content this game needs. We've already got 7 years worth of content where we dance to their fiddles.
  6. Publicity doesn't necessarily mean "spend money on this," it just means "talk about this." And from that view, they've succeeded.
  7. Sorry, thought this was going on tomorrow because of the title. If there's a go then, I'm available, but cannot make it tonight.

Thought it was 30-50? It says "(Min Level 30)" on the Paragon Market.

No... but if you have several things in your cart, it won't tell you which one(s) are keeping you from completing the transaction.
  9. Other things to note this week:

The "Knowledgeable Badge" entry in the Paragon Market has been changed to the New Player Pack. Claiming it grants the following:
    • Knowledgeable Badge
    • LKT-1700 Rocket Pack (aka, 30 Day Jetpack)
    • XP Booster x1
    • Windfall x1
    • Revival x1
    • Signature Summon (5 Charges)

NOTE: It cannot be purchased by existing players if you already have the Knowledgeable badge.

Additionally, the Hecatomb Very Rare Melee Enhancement Set is now a permanent listing, according to a PM reply from Freitag.

  10. For reference, the dude with the black hair (Ethan) is gay.

I can't really argue that this is a publicity stunt. Controversy breeds publicity. Whether that has an affect on sales or not has yet to be seen, but people are talking about it.
  11. I set my difficulty for x1, pulled one group at a time, and cycled the eye beam and punch attacks until about half of them were dead, then used the hand clap or lightning on the rest (while FAR away from any other groups).

I was afraid I'd nuked the mapserver when I tried to hand clap about 12 or so dudes at once one time, but it luckily came back after about 10 seconds of freezing.

Of course, there's the alternate method of completion: wait until it gets fixed in a patch.
  12. GameStop definitely sells NCSoft time cards, but the employees are often dumb and don't know that they carry them (or what they look like).

Source: I work part time at GameStop.

    They look like this, FYI:

520 PP apiece. Check the link in my signature for this week's full sale listing.

I'd be very surprised if it did. This is a server-side issue, where it's doing too many calculations per AoE attack.

It's an extreme example of what was causing the lag on the 3rd mission of the ITF for the first year or so of its existence. (IIRC, that was due to too many shield using NPCs on the map, and the server had to calculate whether each enemy was within range of the AoE shield buffs.)
  15. Second screenshot makes me think of Saints Row: The Third, but I don't want to spoil anything. (Though I'm sure SR3 was referencing something in particular as well.)
  16. Retro Sci-Fi costume set confirmed to release next Tuesday (June 12).

It's not the NEW zone, Night Ward. It's the zone that came out in Issue 21, First Ward. And you can go there regardless; you just can't run the missions without purchasing them.
    Quote:
Bet they will still charge 400 for the set...
There is no set. Like the Olympian Guard pieces released in Issue 22, they must be purchased individually.

Also, none of this affects you, because you're a VIP.
  18. Also new on the market: Leather and Chainmail costume pieces.
These nine new costume pieces are free to VIP players, but can be purchased by Free/Premium players for 40 PP apiece.

  19. It's Tuesday again, aka NEW STUFFS DAY!

This week, we've got Signature Story Arc #2: Ep #1 for 400 Paragon Points. In the aftermath of the "Who Will Die?" story arc, super powered individuals begin to find their powers being supercharged by an unknown source. Heroes work with the Freedom Phalanx to discover the source, while Villains begin to exploit it to create a rival organization to Arachnos.

Free and Premium players also now have the option to purchase the Leather and Chainmail costume pieces. There is no bundle; all pieces must be purchased individually for 40PP apiece.

Additionally, the Signature Summon (5 Charges) has found its way back into the store for 250 PP, and the Who Will Die?: Complete Collection Ep. 1-7 pack is back in the store at a sale price of 1200 PP.

    This week's sales:
    • Costume Slot #6-10 -- 35% off (520 PP each)
    • BUNDLE: Barbarian Costume Pieces* -- 25% off (300 PP)
    • BUNDLE: Carnival of Light Costume Pieces* -- 25% off (300 PP)
    • BUNDLE: Circle of Thorns Costume Pieces* -- 25% off (300 PP)
    • BUNDLE: Magic Costume Pieces* -- 25% off (300 PP)
    • BUNDLE: Valkyrie Costume Pieces* -- 25% off (300 PP)
*Only the bundles themselves are on sale, not the individual costume pieces
    • Titan Weapons Power Set -- 20% off (640 PP)
    • First Ward Zone Pack -- 50% off (300 PP)
    • Who Will Die?: Complete Collection Ep. 1-7 -- 50% off (1200 PP)

EDIT: Spreadsheet and OP have been updated.

It's supposed to have a much better rate for Rare and Very Rare reward tables upon completion than the other trials, at about half the required completion time of the Underground Trial.

(In actuality, though, I've gotten an Uncommon and a Common upon both times I finished.)

Positron said when they were first starting the Incarnate Slots that if they were well-received, they'd do more beyond the first ten.

They've already started adding comments about beings such as Rularuu who have ascended beyond being Incarnate. It's not too much of a stretch to think that we will eventually move beyond the Well's powers into new super territory sometime in the future... even if it may not happen until several years from now.

    Hybrid Melee

All the Hybrid toggles are supposed to shut off automatically after 2 minutes of use, and then take another 2 minutes to recharge.

There are occasions where they don't due to a bug, but they're all supposed to.

Hybrid Melee is a STACKING +Resist/Defense (depending on the tree) and +Regen buff. For every enemy near your character (up to 10, I believe), those stats will increase.
  24. Wow, gratz guys!

I'm still having trouble just completing the trial under regular conditions, so consider me extra impressed!
