  1. It sounds like I'll be okay then.

I'm running a 2.5 GHz quad core system, 8 GB RAM, and Dual nVidia GeForce 9800GTX 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Video Cards in SLI Configuration.

    Can't wait to see it!
  2. Didn't realize it was "illegal" to respond to an old thread.
  3. I'm assuming my system will be able to handle "ultra mode" -

I'm running a 2.0 GHz quad core system, 8 GB RAM, and Dual nVidia GeForce 9800GTX 512MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Video Cards in SLI Configuration.

Anyone know if this won't work?

    Thanks!
  4. You know, I refuse to apologize for asking about how to create a "female oriental face." If anyone actually took offense to that, well, pretend I said "Asian." Certainly no offense was meant.

However, perhaps one should take offense instead to the fact that all of the faces in the game are Caucasian in nature. Sure, you can tweak them, get them to look close or mostly correct, but it would be nice if CoX bothered to include some ethnicity in the character creation process.
  5. Thanks, I'll play around with those!
  6. For the life of me, I cannot find or create a good oriental female face for my toon. But they are out there, I've seen them. What face # are people using?

    Thanks!
  7. Thanks, guys! I found it, turned it on, and now all is right with the world.
  8. I have a ice/ice dominator with Jack Frost. Can I keep a window (ala the Pet window MM's have) open on him to monitor his health? I can't figure out a way to do it other than to constantly target him.

    Thanks!
  9. No, it wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular. I just dislike when people grip about the cost of something that they don't have to buy.
  10. You always have the option NOT to buy the booster packs...
  11. Never mind, I found it. Silly that they make her look just like the nurses.
  12. So where is the super tailor/cosmetic surgeon? It said it would be "near the tailor," but I'm Cap Au Diable on CoV right now and can't find it. (And yes, I've purchased the super science booster pack)

  13. I hope you'll consider playing and reviewing my arc:

    Name: Attack of the Toymenator
    Arc ID: 207874
    Length: Medium

Short description: The Toymenator has granted all the toys in the factory life, and he's bent on taking over the world one action figure at a time!

    Less-than-short description:

"My name is Dr. Fletcher E. Fletcher," said the shy-looking man in the white lab coat softly, "and I'm an inventor, and I used to work for Wally World in the toy division. But the economy got bad, and they fired me. Me! I made them a fortune over the years, and this is how they repay me?

"Well, I decided to start my own toy company, but it didn't quite work out," he looked around pensively, almost as if to see if anyone was eavesdropping on his tale of woe. "See, my idea was artificial intelligent-driven action figures. But I made the AI too good. One of my toys - the Toymenator - gained sentience and took over the whole operation! Not only did he kick me out of my lab, he gave all of my toys dupicates of his AI chip and then used my enlarging ray to make them human-sized and took my assistant, Dr. SoRelle, captive!

"He wants to take over the world! He's shipping them out all over the Rogue Isles and Paragon city today, unless you can track down the cargo ship, rescue Dr. SoRelle, and stop the shipment! And fair warning - he's put his number one man, Mega Jumbo Tron, in charge of the ship!"

    Additional Info:

This mission is difficult but not impossible. It's in two parts, and the second part has an elite boss. Every single character, save the scientists, are customs. And you just might recognize one or two from your childhood...

    Thanks for your consideration!

  15. I also enjoyed Dorks and Dungeons ARC# 148594 by @doctor7 and didn't mind that it was a single mission. That's a nice change of pace. The custom characters were inventive and challenging without being over-the-top. And, yes, what the previous reviewer said - there were some typos/errors. Just go over it again, I'm sure you'll catch them.

  17. Thanks guys, that's a good work-around.
  18. According to the FAQ on coh.com, you click on the character in question and will see an option to remove him from the custom group you've created. That doesn't happen with me. I can see no way to remove a character from a custom group.

    Any ideas?
  19. There's some great information here - thanks!!
  20. GvE was the edition of the game that got me started, so I've had the Pocket D teleporter and the jet pack since the beginning! I gotta agree - they are great to have as a lowbie!

I have three costumes; the freakshow from comic con (first comic con I ever attended!), the PPD suit which I traded a comic con code for, and a Harlequin costume I also traded for. Are there any others?
  21. Is there a list somewhere of all the various extras/add-ons available like powerslide (included on the CoH Collector's Edition DVD) and valkyrie (Mac), as well as promo costumes such as the freakshow from Comic Con '08? I am doing my best to "collect 'em all" but am not altogether sure what "all" entails at this point!

    Thanks!
  22. One more question - is the power available only on the City of Heroes Collector's Edition, or also on the City of Villains Collector's Edition? I am finding both "Collector's Edition" DVDs online, with Villains being drastically cheaper.
  23. Something new to look for. Yes, I'm one of those people who have to have it all.
  24. Can you actually purchase the CoH Collector's Edition online like you can the Mac edition, in order to get that particular power?

    Arc Reviews

I would love reviews/comments/criticisms of this:

Name of the Arc: Attack of the Monsters of Legend
    Arc #: 82060
    Morality: Neutral
Brief Synopsis: Abraham Van Helsing, legendary arch-nemesis of Count Dracula, has been kept alive all these years by gypsy magics, and he's recruited you to help save the world from the reunion of a deadly triumvirate; Count Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Wolfman. Dracula and Victor Frankenstein have combined their resources to raise Victor's monster and put together a plot to rid the world of costumed heroes and villains once and for all. But was there really a fourth member at the meeting between the Count, Dr. Frankenstein, and the wolfman, as Larry Talbot, his memories seen through the shrouded mystery of his alter ego, hazily recalls? There just might be more to all of this than it seems...

If you're a fan of the old Universal monster movies or just monsters in general, you should enjoy this.
