How to remove characters from custom groups

According to the FAQ on coh.com, you click on the character in question and will see an option to remove him from the custom group you've created. That doesn't happen with me. I can see no way to remove a character from a custom group.

Any ideas?

I've noticed this too. Currently I work around it by reassigning the custom character to belong to another, dummy custom group that I don't use in any story arc. This ends up removing them from their original custom group, while not actually deleting the character.

Every critter has to exist in at least one group. If that critter only exists in the group you want to remove it from you can:

a) delete the critter

b) Put it into a different group.

I have a group I use JUST for special bosses and the like called "Mercenaries". When I need to move someone out of a group (usually to check for file space savings) I put them in that group. that removes them from my custom group and I don't have to delete them.

Example:

Army of One features members of the Bald Eagle Brigade (think GI Joe but without the copyright violation). I wanted to see if I'd save some space so I took one of the bosses I had made, and on her info screen changed it from Bald Eagle Brigade to Mercenary. That removed her from the BEB group but did not make me delete the character.
