Minor correction:
Story arcs were bumped by 50%, IIRC it was about a year ago, but the target for story arcs is 12 merits/hour of median completion.
I have a PM from Synapse confirming the 'Task Modifier' is currently 0.6 for Story arcs (versus the 1.0 for a TF).
Of course we are about due for another sweep of normalization to the current medians, maybe with GR, and those numbers may change again.

One point about the RMT sellers. Before the E-mail options came along it was trivial to see that the inf/$ ratio was changing dramatically.
I really doubt anyone will challenge that statement, but I can pull out some old E-mail if need be.
They were desperate to offload their high amounts of inf, and kept lowering prices. Why ? because there were so few people buying, is the obvious statement.
A business that has regular sales, has no need to reduce prices. A business that needs cash (to pay those farmers), has to lower prices/margin to get that cash. And lower, and lower.
My thoughts lead me to:
RMT is not any sort of significant issue in the current market. -
I have little doubt that any villain character of mine that is going to be seriously IO'ed, will take a trip to Paragon *cough* under cover *cough* and raid Wents then head back.
To me the market mini-game should be fun, not an exercise in frustration that the current redside one is at any level bar 50. (and often even then) -
Quote:Erm. I think you will find I have never even agreed there is hyper-inflation, (PVP IOs being the exception, they still haven't found their equilibrium) let alone whined about it.You all whine that there is hyper-inflation, but whenever any method of trying to control the situation gets asked for, you don't like it.
The things I use all the time, doctored wounds, red fortunes, thunderstrikes and the like are pretty much on a par with where they have always been.
Levelling up, using the lower uncommons, they are still dirt cheap.
Hyper inflation in the market is simply NOT a given, sorry. -
Quote:Recently the earning ability of level 50s was significantly raised.Level 50s do earn more influence than level 49s. The rate of influence goes up by level, as does the cost of enhancements, costumes, and crafting. Crafting of level 50 IOs is correspondingly expensive. I don't see a need to reduce the earning rate. I believe that would be detrimental to players who do not farm.

Describes it as "Fixed an issue where Level 50 (level capped) characters did not receive double influence when they exemplared down (with that option selected)" but the effect was an increase even at level 50 -
Quote:This isn't as easy as is sounds, the 2 billion inf limit is close to the maximum possible 32 bit signed integer (2147483648).3. Perhaps raise the inf limit to 5 billion, no more, to molify the "but we want to be able to have more inf" crowd. People will still be able to play the market minigame and flip, but won't be able to abuse it and drive prices out of control the way they have now.
Having to go through and check that in every possible case the '$inf variable' is declared correctly in every possible subroutine is certainly a non-trivial matter. -
My emp is staminaless, and is my only defender at say 30 or higher without it.
I dont feel the necessity to grab it at 20, but usually pick it up between 20 and 30. -
It does, and wikia has been hosting adverts that link to various malware. (they have been informed)
Simply do not go to the wikia site. -
Yep.
You select the relevant code and either:
1) upgrade your trial account (assuming you have one)
2) create a new account -
Stating the obvious and as a general comment, that only accounts 'in good standing' are invited.
I'm not putting the OP in that category, as I don't know them, but if you are found to have leaked before from a closed test, have a poor record with the GMs or similar, you get struck off the list of possible folks. -

Silver class and Gold class recipe rolls are linked at the bottom of that page. -
Question:
How are Epic ATs being 'taken away from you?'
If you have a 50 they still be unlocked. -
Blaster, Probably /NRG but I'm not fixed 100% on the secondary.
-
Vinaigrette is sooo stupid, it couldn't hold its own emulsification...
-
They specifically said that wouldn't be the case at Hero-con.
I think its a mistake, but there you go. -
Playing any defender in a 'pure support' role is going to be unfulfilling for someone used to scrapping.
My two favorite defenders are my:
rad/rad and my sonic/sonic.
Both mix in buffs, debuffs and bring a decent set of attacks to the team. -
Quote:And of course AR and rad hit more often (thanks to the -def debuff on various powers).PROTIP: Elec Blast doesn't miss more than any other blast set, unless you're counting something like Archery, which has an inherent accuracy bonus.
Now, damage dealt and usefulness of the secondary effect... those are points that have been debated many times previously. But "it misses more" is strictly false. -
I used to be a big supplier of common IOs redside.
Unfortunately with a change in my schedule I rarely get on between Mon-Thursday these days.

Quote:With all due respect, people will just PL their way to the badge, and the devs are trying not to encourage that sort of behaviour.
We got to kicking around the idea that this achievement was worthy of a badge. Now it's just a random thought, and I'm open to other names for it, but (PLing aside) it is a pretty hefty achievement and worthy of a badge.
Anyone else have opinions on this?
Having Epics unlocked by getting to 50 was admitted as being a mistake, this would be the same mistake, made worse by repeating it. -
There are already two day jobs already associated with better endurance management
1) Duelist, which is a 4 (6) end buff and makes each recovery tick 4(6)% larger
(Heros Galaxy city, Villains Port Oakes for the low level arena)
2) Clubber which gives a 10% (12.5%) recovery boost, which is suppressed in combat.
Pocket D is easy for anyone to get to.
Arena is my #1 logoff location for lowbies. -
No other server had a super bowl ad, like EVAR...
-
I find my personal break point is 4.
With a potential 3 attacks, which is decent chain, especially filled with vet powers. Thats when it starts being real fun. (oh and Ninja run to travel with these days)
Levels 1-3 not so much. -
1) Unlikey to happen. Animation time is used as part of the balance. Its designed to make a defender faces choices over what to use when.
Alos long duration buffs tend to lead to botting, and this isn't something the Devs want.
2) This is a major nerf. using my rad/rad defender as an example, the ability to stop him being mezzed is important to stop his offensive toggles dropping. -
