1. 6 silver rolls is the same number of tickets as 45 - 48 bronze rolls of comparable level, thats a much higher average sale price required to be profitable.
2. At low levels the Silver roll is 7.5 times the cost of a bronze, at higher levels it is 8 times the cost.

On average Im getting a rare more often about every 7-8 rolls (i'd have to double check the exact number), and that rare is the generall more valuable Pool A rather than a cheaper Pool B.

100% chance of a Pool A about as often, with extra uncommons thrown in.

I see no reason to roll silver, except for inventory management.

<edit>
From my 323 rolls on live I have 55 rares. Thats a rare in every 5.9 rolls, so an even better ratio than I expected.

You were ? Or did someone not know that clicking on a star rating then off again leads to an actual zero star vote.

Dont assume malice, when ignorance works.
4. There are multiple ATs that manage to inherently cap thier hit points with accolades and powers, a few more with IOs.

This would be losing some regen in exchnage for a bonus which they dont get.

It appears a graphical update is coming.
7. Just as a teaser of the data to come at the weekend.

Counting from Saturday midnight, I just broke 200 Common IOs sold this week, and there is a lot of the week left.

invention badges

For each memorisation badge you have to craft half of each level for the badge (level 10 badges being the obvious exception)

For the 'Colonel' badge, you need
8 level 25s
8 level 30s
1 further of either level 25 or 30.

These can be all accuracy, all tohit buff or any combination of the two.
9. So take a break, and then come back (or not).

Burnout is very common in every MMO, sometimes you just get tired of the same game all the time.

Try a different MMO, try an offline game, break out your console, or do something non-gamey.
10. R-type.

We are getting Plasma torpedos to go with our cloaking devices. Thats a huge buff for /devices.
11. Nothing globally like that, outside of the PvP areas, and that was most definately a chnage where some were raised up and others brought down.

Individual sets have of course been tweaked up and down, but thats to be expected to get better balance overall.

Defence IO set bonuses got that major buff, such that all have both a positional and typed component, so that cant be it.

Maybe the OP dislikes Defiance 2.0 compared to 1.0, which is a valid but a minority view. Blasters are certainly more fun for me under 2.0, and perform their role of arresting badguys at high speed admirably.

Im thinking someone just peed in his cornflakes, which is obviously the fault of Paragon Studios.

What you don't need a trained chemist ? I can blow things up, real good.

I do stuff that seems like alchemy, and as we all know that practically magic, and everyone needs magic. If only to blame the Wizzerd in the corner at staff meetings.

I also can feed hamsters and thereby keep the servers up.

The maximum number of tickets awarded per player per mission has been reduced to 1,500 tickets. Because you cannot get a partial reward for defeating an enemy, you may end up with slightly less.

[/ QUOTE ]

so I guess the whole risk vs. reward thign goes out the window once again in favor of all risk and no reward....sigh, well so much for MA missions....

[/ QUOTE ]

You want all risk and no reward? I think I've found that there is more to this patch then they are letting on. I've done two mishs today, and in each of them I came up against at least two closely grouped mobs consisting of an orange boss and two yellow LTs each. Not only that, but I found my attack rate suddenly went down to almost nothing.

Now, I also noticed that I didin't get any debt when I died multiple times - the toon I was on is lvl 16, so she should be getting debt.

It looks to me like the devs are having a little temper tantrum and griefing us all because of the problems they're facing with MA crap.

[/ QUOTE ]

Conversely, I have run 3 arcs, a total of 7 missions in them and everything spawned exactly as I would expect. In no case did any of the missions come close to the ticket cap.
14. From the obvious Council base in the RWZ - which goes on to quite a depth actually, to the Crey caged 'zoo' in Nerva, there is a lot to explore.
15. Couldn't you know, ask the person ?

Im assuming they were invited to the SG by you, or at least by someone you promoted.

<edit>
Oh and as for advice generally if you have a base and want to retain ownership, make sure only characters on your own account(s) are in the SG when time expires. It will sit safe and sound until you re-activate.

The guy who was Best Man at my wedding was off in WoW for over 2 years, but the SG name and base are still his.

Gratz on the new redname. I highly confused as why you can't do both as The Ocho or Mod08.

[/ QUOTE ]

TheOcho will appear on community digests.

Mod8 posts to lock threads will not, to avoid "drawing uneccessary attention" to them I believe was the reasoning Lighhouse gave for the Supermod account, which holds here.

The long animation lock was causing some people to abuse it and get 'risk free' rewards.
18. Having some open world stuff is cool, but I'm happy that the majority is instanced.

Open World stuff we have
Normal Street Sweeping
Hazard zones (or hazard like areas in the zone in COV)
Hellion Fires
Troll Raves
Assorted GMs
Lusca (being 9 GMs in one, Lusca is special)
Hami
Rikti Ship raid

With the Hami griefing that used to go on, and the amount of 'use' others of those get, youc an see why the Devs here don't spend a lot more time on it. People 'play' a zone event for the badges, then leave and dont come back to it.
19. Most common salvage has crashing back down in price as the shininess/newness of the MA wore off.

Wont go all the way back, but its already mostly there.
20. Psi blast was in at launch, and proliferated in I12 away from defenders only.

Psi maniup was new though.
21. I13 did have Pain Dom as a secondary for Corruptors (and MMs)
22. Don't take that comment as a dismissal, if there is one thing we like here is well presented data.

I for one would examine intently.
23. Actually, its the 'gems' that affect the data the most.

From 323 rolls on live I got a single regen tissue +regen that sold for 40 million.

Thats an average of 124K per roll, just from a single sale.

5 or 10K for a level 50 vendored (3 or 6K for a capped at 30), is barely significant against that.

Now if you get one on average every say 400 rolls, the gem is dominant, if you get one on average every 4000 rolls vendoring the trash whilst still lower comes into play at a noticeable level.

(From my testing, the one per 400 rolls is much closer to the reality - My current data suggest maybe 1/350 or so)

When you factor in some 3-5 million level sales, some 10 millions and a 20 million as well as the 40 million, its clear the high end drops have a very dominant on average earnings.

I refer you to Topdocs thread about drop rates, and how his purple earnings have a major effect on his average earnings over time.

My first field crafter redside got it before 25.

Before 40 is easily achievable

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not convinced that one example means it's generally easily achievable.

Mount Everest? People have been climbing that for 56 years. Must be easy. right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Its hardly a unique or even rare example, ask in the market forum if you wish.
25. Upto 481 Rolls, so not quite the 500 mark yet

Column A represents the unweighted probability (kept to a higher accuarcy on my sheets obviously)
Column B respresents that observed by my own drops (same caveat)
Column C is the weighting factor seen in these drops

Most of the numbers are relatively stable accross all three data samplings. One obvious exception is TAOE which has basically been in freefall form an obviously 'to high' number in the initial sample set.

My plot for look at this is too confusing to anyone but myself I think, but you can see the trends by plotting the 174, the 294 and the 481 numbers against the # of rolls.

For Melee say, the weights came out as 2.07, 1.94 and 2.01. This is a good indication that a weighting of about 2 is right.

TAOE the nunbers are 2.51, 2.15 and 1.45. We don't have a stable position as of yet.

Now the one drop I have yet to see is a RI Pet. Its certainly not that improbable that after some 481 rolls, some of the 399 recipes are missing. It is raising a little bit of a concern for me though, that it does have 4 possibles and none have appeared.

Question: Has anyone here seen an RI pet set from a bronze roll ever ?

My MA activity has reduced somewhat, and mostly I have been workign Devs choice as I have the MA plays badge on Cat, so ticket acquisition has redcued slightly. On the upside I have started playing one of my other characters who wanst the badges more, so I'll have a burst of a hundred or so rolls in a short sapn once they get the tickets past cap badges for my 2nd account.

Happy rolling
