I'm pretty sure I saw Terra Volta's name stenciled in over the giant door, yesterday

    [/ QUOTE ]
    That is its real name.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That reminds me, what's with "Terror Volta" showing up on the loading screen for the reactor?
  2. Did you know that there was a brief period of time, in a patch before the release of I7, where a bug caused any and all Tanker attacks to do PBAoE damage on the Test server?

So, we've got a Trekkie, expert on sociology, declarator of obscure knowledge, a ginormous e-peen inflated from three decades of gaming, and a well meaning OP in this thread.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've always wondered... with so many experts floating around the internets, how the heck does it hold together under so much inflating ego?
  4. The only thing I disagree with is the part about not saying anything to the enemy - ever bit. I have some wonderful conversations about anything under the sun with my opponent(s) when I'm on my Brute or Scrapper.

    Safety's makes sense to me.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Me, too. It's the 'saftey' that we take issue with.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    D'oh. I hadn't noticed that.
  6. Safety's makes sense to me.

Safety's = safety is, not "belonging to the safety".

Edit: And a merc shouting "The safety has been disengaged so that I may propel bullets from my offensive device!" doesn't quite have the same feel to it, you know?
  7. Personally, I think the typo was with calling the older-looking guy Aeon. Granted, I don't remember much about the arc, or about aeon - just that supposedly, Doc Aeon is this guy who was once known as an extremely deranged man, who supposedly died, but was actually living as Aeon. Whereas, so far as I can tell, Echo isn't deranged at all. He's just an extreme goofball.
  8. Does anyone know of any alternate links to that video? I can't view it - keeping getting an error. Feh.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
i found This video in google.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh my god.. I just died laughing. Thank you so much for finding that!
  10. Anyone still have this thing? *realizes how ancient this thread is, which is why she's asking*
  11. "Villainy is hard work. I think it's time to do something a bit more... productive. Like gardening! Yes, gardening will be perfect.."
  12. Thank Arc Salvo for bringing this idea up, for one.

Be polite - or try to be - to the younger players. First impressions are everything, ya know.

Put useful comments in your search comment. "I liek swordz", "sexy female", and "My wife left me for my dog today, took my truck with her so all I've got is my beer now. Screw y'all." aren't very helpful for team leaders trying to find a few extra bodies. Even if they are amusing from time to time.

Hug Ms. Liberty once in a while. Standing in the same place day in, day out, watching the youngins rush right by without even saying hello must be depressing.
  13. I really hate this one.

Don't assume that because the toon I'm playing is a low-level female, that I really, really want you to be my 'sugar-daddy' (IE, loads of inf/enhancement gifts) in return for being your little arm decoration.

    Ick.
  14. Just to pitch in on the whole 'Blind invite' thing with the others - I do use it, but only because I like to know what's going on before I jump in. You'd be surprised how many invites you get from people who are way out of your level range, higher or lower, or someone three zones away from you, nearly complete with a mission that everyone is leaving after, and expect you to get there in time.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
    DO NOT...
...refuse to use a rez just so you can soak up 'no-risk' XP's. I hate debt- who doesn't? But if you just bought the farm, chances are some or all of us are pretty close to dyin' too and we NEED you!
(some guy actually said this was the ultimate technique for xps- he said his SG had been tporting a dead body around for a month. Please- say it ain't so...)

    [/ QUOTE ]

I remember getting into trouble for rezzing during a fight - granted, I was using an awaken.. but the way I figured it, me being a scrapper, and us not having a tank, I oughtta be up and keeping aggro off of the defender as often as I can - even if it means faceplanting a few times in a row to do it.

Biggest nono in CoX, in my own opinion: Don't tell other people how to play. They just might be on to something. Though, there ARE exceptions to that rule.. like, say, the SS/Invul tank standing in the back, using Hurl while telling the scrappers to take the front lines.
  16. Name: Savannah Black

    Alias: DJ Savvy

    Race: Human

    Origin: Mutant

    Hero or Villain: Villain

    Archetype: Brute

    Former Job(If Any): DJ

Current Home: What remains of the former XKBY Broadcasting station. Currently working to form it into her own station for Rogue Radio.

Brief Physical Description: 6'0" tall, tanned skin, and short, blonde hair defines her general appearance. Her frame is rather.. generously endowed, but beset by a slight musclature that would make the meek think twice.

Brief Personality Description: Savannah's a very optomistic person, for a Villain. Music and fun are her two loves in life, and she'll do whatever it takes for either. Of course, fun involves either dancing, or bashing someone's head through the wall.

Goals and motivators: Rogue Radio. Savannah's dream is to get her own Station up, running, and fully involved in making life tougher for Paragon's heroes by giving the Villains a break from the monotany of doing tasks. She firmly believes that there's a difference between one being called a Villan, and one being called Evil - though someone can definately be both. She has no qualms with aiding others, as long as it's all in the name of Villainy, of course.

Does your character care about Freedom Corps/Arachnos?: Savannah couldn't care less about either, though she's apalled by their 'terrible fashion sense'.

A typical quote from your character: "C'mon! Can't you do better than that?! I want a CHALLENGE!"

Do Heroes or Villains Recognize your character, if so how: Savannah hasn't yet made the big-time in the Rogue Isles, but some may have heard her occasional test broadcasts from her home.

    History: (Coming in an edit!)
  17. Excellent suggestions. I havn't quite 'won' yet, but I've been getting terribly bored with rerolling new alts every two hours and grinding my currents out of debt. I was trying to figure out what to do, and this post helps!
