I'd agree with that - pure sci-fi used to be written by actual scientists like Asimov, or at least those with a heavy scientific bias like Clarke - now it's written by authors instead - and I'm happy with that, because I'd rather have a well-written story than a hypothesis masquerading as a story

oh I'm no Clarke or Asimov fan, in fact the quote is a paraphrase from Phillip K. Dick, sadly he was neither and scientist, nor a great author, specially when it came to novels, but his short stories are great reading. the current author that i would say adheres to this best while still writing stories is Neil Stephenson.

Mind if inquire why? I love radio and newspaper missions, I would be especially disappointed if I lost the ability to do repeatable missions on my 50s, one of which has done every other arc in the game.

Possibly due to the teams that jsut do the radio mission and never any arcs.

things i would like to change.

CoH: Missions set to be in the same zone and area level as the contact.
Get rid of hunt missions.
Reinstate recipe rewards for Story arcs, picking for the uncommon and rare recipe pools.
Reinstate big rewards for the GM's, a badge for each one and a badge for defeating all of them.
Fix invul.

apart form the go's and sub 8800's in the 8 series that will literally peel them selfs as they get so hot?

And that makes the suggestion more sensible how? the point is the forms are trade offs, more damage for being fragile, tougher but less damage, can't have it both ways. just makes stuff over powered.

also, the only manifestation of Zeus on earth is Statesman...

comes under power customisation, the problem is all are drawn form the same source, rather than a new instance for each player, so any changes to your henchmen at the moment would effect all of them.

Just look at the Roman TF. the 3rd mission has so many patrols, mobs and etc. it's super laggy doing nothing. And the netgraph shows no network lag there.

Well that's graphics lag then, which is your local machine, so nothing to do with the servers either...

THe biggest part of the problem is that the game was designed to be able to do stuff over a 56K modem, so when things are really busy it "Lags" because it dropping information deliberately.

yeah, but that is also why it's a no go, the suppression was brought in for PvP, s they aren't dumb enough to disable it and bring that back just for one AT.

more importantly do you ask it to install in in a folder called coh or the folder just about that? if you are installing it in the folder maked CoH, thats the issue, as it creates a new CoH folder each time.
