I confused the group, then joined into the fight; I got xp but less than I would have without confuse.
I agree that 4 missions is a very small test of it, but I just found it a strange coincidence that I would get a tip as soon as I stop using confuse, especially since on my other characters I'd get at least one in every mission. -
Today, while trying to get my Plant/Psi Dominator to go Rogue, I had problems getting tip drops. After doing 4 newspaper missions, I still had no tips even though I was fighting level 27s and 28s, had no tips in my tab, and had 0 public fame. After thinking about what was causing this, the only idea I had was that the experience taken away due to Seeds of Confusion may have been effecting the drop rate.
4 missions using Seeds of Confusion got me no tips, then on the last group of the last mission, I didn't use confusion. My 3rd kill got me a tip. Either this is a very strange coincidence, or the xp cuts from confusion are unfairly crippling the drop rates for tips. Has anyone else noticed this? I sent in a bug report, but was hoping to see if it was just a coincidence based on others' experiences.
EDIT: While doing the mission for the tip I got, I began to use confusion again, and got another tip despite losing xp for the enemy. So maybe a chain of weird coincidences? -
Admit it, you love CoH.
Oh, and rule#1 if you're going to be back...no photoshopping pics of me to put on the forums. hazy still makes sweatervest jokes. -
I've got the badge on my controller, but would love to give it a try on my Blaster. I'm interested if I'm available whenever you plan to run it.
-
Sounds fun, I should be able to make it, if I remember...had a great time at the zombie event in DA
-
I just ran that TF last night pretty easily with a Shield Tanker, an Electric Blaster, and myself on a Dark/Ice Defender. The 3 of us took him down without any problems. Are you maybe on a high difficulty setting? Or maybe try stocking up on inspirations?

The event was great! Better than the Kadabra Kill (sp?) one from a month or two ago, in my opinion. Definitely nice to have something different for an event, and was interesting to see a dev playing a character with an actual build (instead of a Blaster with every power set =P) And even with a mass of heroes, it really was challenging! I didn't expect so many deaths with that many heroes.
One thing I am curious about...I noticed Allison's global handle wasn't a dev name, and I wish I could remember what it was, but I can't. Anyone remember the name and/or know the reason? -
Quote:And he was a level 54 Monster, and at times we had about 3-4 simultaneously. Those odds were certainly against usIt was great fun playing the Dark Astoria zone event with you as Police Woman. I especially liked it when you told Adamastor to
"Give it up Adamastor! We've got you surrounded!"
It was true, we did surround him but he is also about 40 foot tall. But death never stops a hero!

I have an Ill/Rad which I use to solo GMs and the like (although I could've spent more money on it, but like you said, it isn't always worth it). I do have fun with it, but that's certainly not the only thing he can do. The same build which can solo GMs also brings great use to teams, especially on TFs (If I can solo a Kraken, I can definitely be a big help on those AVs in the STF).
If you're planning on making a character to JUST solo GMs, you won't find yourself playing it very much. Just remember that a character can do other things very well...a one trick pony isn't really the best choice (or whatever that saying is...you know what I mean...) -
Might want to fix your links
And this sounds like fun, no one ever does the Ouro TFs any more...I'll try to make it -

Quote:Oh, you're good. You're more than welcome to show up =P (notice I didn't say "more than welcome to come).*immature giggle* Interesting choice of words there.
*ahem* At any rate, that sounds entertaining... I am a lurker of that particular channel but rarely say much of anythin on account of not really knowing anyone on it except for the person from the forums who invited me in the first place. Perhaps I could convince my BF to play a bit that evening with me? -
This sounds pretty awesome...I just signed up, hopefully it works out to do well.

See, your problem is that you cite me as a productive member of the Liberty community. When, in fact, I'm nothing but an (insert word I'm probably not aloud to say on the forums).
...Anyway...I do see what you mean. These forums used to be pretty active a year or two ago (I remember a couple very interesting threads), and there really just hasn't been much going on. Hopefully once we get the whole GR thing up and running, we'll get some more active people back. Seems like everyone either left or never bothers to do anything anymore. -

Quote:Certainly after 2005...I started a week before 2006 started and I know I ran a raid or two on my Blaster well after that.Okay, I was thinking about doing a Hamidon Raid, soon.
Last time Liberty did and succeeded a hami raid was in 2005? I think.
I haven't seen any real plans to do one soon, but I know one or two people did mention wanting to start them...I heard hazy talking about it a bit. Hopefully we do get something together; I've heard a lot of other servers run them. -
You may want to change the format on the date listed...I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be May 1st, but it should be a little more clear.
And if it is May 1st, I might be able to make it to the later events. Sounds like fun -
With announcements of the next few big updates, we know what to expect over the next year- Going Rogue brings us side switching and Praetoria, while Issue 19 will finally bring us the long awaited end-game system. With these great new additions coming to the game, is it time to stop moving forward and start fixing what we have?
The next update coming brings me to my first suggestion- a look at existing story arcs. Issue 17 brings us 2 new story arcs on each side, and I went on test and have done the villain side arcs...and THOSE are what story arcs should be. Possibly some of the best content so far, as the missions aren't a cookie cutter of everything else; defeat all, rescue, get glowie, etc., and I actually get options of how I want some of the missions to go! I feel like I'm doing new content, not the same thing I've had for years with a new face. Maybe it's time to look at all this content we've had since the start and bring it up to date with the technology of the newer bits of the game.
Although we have limited knowledge of Praetoria, one thing that has been announced is both the openness of the zone and its compliance with the new Ultra Mode system coming with i17. I'm sure the player base wouldn't mind a few aesthetic and maybe geographical changes to some of the current zones, as there's likely been more advances in zone creation since some of these were made as far back as 2004 and 2005. Although I will admit Ultra Mode does give a new face to all zones, I'm sure many people believe there are other changes to be made.
I know I didn't provide very many specifics, but you get the idea. Although new things have been added, there's so much more pre-existing content that hasn't been touched since we've been given more mechanics and creativity in more recent updates (Cimerora and Ouroboros brought us time travel/interesting story lines while we're still fighting thugs and stopping bank robberies in older arcs).
So hopefully I got my point across...any opinions? -
Liberty is helpful, but I definitely recommend going over to the Tech forums.

Also, if you haven't already, check TigerDirect and NewEgg. You can find some good deals on those sometimes. -
You can add Camo's Teen Lounge if you want, we'd take more people
@Secret Lover and I are mods, its set to private -
I may be wrong, but if I remember correctly for the Terra Volta trial, you get a choice between a respec or merits, don't you? And the badge is only rewarded if you pick the respec?

Quote:I don't recipe link like all those losers.Whats the point of this channel if you're just going to fill LB with your mom jokes, lame sex jokes, and "ha ha I made it sound like he is gay" jokes as well as stupid recipe linking?
As far as all that other stuff....I have no further comment. -
oh come on, who let Budo back in? I thought he wasn't included in the whole reactivation thing
-
Does it count as an mt if you purposely send something inappropriate to a large badge channel when it's supposed to be in your small, private channel with just a few close friends? If so, wow, I've had some good ones...
