So, with the upcoming Going Rouge release some questions have come to light, at least in my mind. I know how I "think" the following will be answered, but I am curious if my understanding is correct.
Some spoilers in these questions, so stop now if you do not know about the Rikti and Rularuu.
1 - Concerning the Rikti and Rularuu, are they unique in the multiverse? Or, another way to put this, are there only one Rikti home world and Shadow Shard.
2 - Has Praetorian Earth dealt with the Shadow Shard, or do they have their own version of it?
3 - Somebody in-game mentioned that Praetorian Earth fended off a Rikti attack. I am having trouble finding any reference to this. Is it true? If so why did they attack without Nemesis to instigate them? -

It's good reading. You learn neat things like just because you say something, it doesn't make it true. Especially when things that are said as idiotic as the things you've been saying.
I believe the point that was trying to be made is that the very action of interacting with a virtual avatar, as done in MMORPG games for example, satisfies the majority of qualifications for the act of RP. That intention alone is not enough to disqualify the use of the avatar as a "role", and the act of performing the actions in the game as "play"
Like defining a power gamer vs casual gamer or Pie vs Cake it is a discussion point that, while seemingly clear to each person, is clouded with personal preference and perception.
In other words, your playing a MMORPG, therefore you are RPing and that is that..
Or
I am playing a virtual avatar and speaking in my own voice, therefore I am not RPing and that is that...
are both right and wrong.. -
To be fair, the term is MMORPG. We can lol it all we want, but RP is still in the name.

Actually I more object to the term than it's meaning, as if mathematics is a bad thing and deserves a derogatory term. This in a game where players practically begged for the "Real Numbers" behind the powers.
The numbers are not a bad thing. They show how things work, how they compare to each other in a static environment. It gives us a baseline to gauge when a power is good vs when the player is good and making up for the power.
You can enjoy the game and have a basic understanding of the mechanics behind it. -
Great...now I have to Google "Theorycrafting" because people are using it as if it is a common phrase used on these boards.
Hate it when people come up with new terms and don't notify me....

Great idea. Like some others here I am much more of a writer who has been drawn to the artistic works here that I do not have the personal skill to create.
Good luck with this. I look forward to seeing what comes of it. -
I use it:
- Before a big AoE attack to maximize the aggro generated by the attack.
- At ranged targets to peel them off of a friendly and bring them closer (-range helps alot for this)
- A/V fights
- Filler when attacks are recharging.
There is still no tool that works better to manage your aggro. -

Going WAAAY back we use to have 2-3 independant groups that would, very rarely, interact on occasions. I never followed the other groups so they may still be around someplace. -
Didn't Arachnos spawn from an Italian fascist group that was related to the 5th column at the time? My Coh-History-Fu may be week this morning so correct me if I am wrong.
Would explain the similarities in structure and mindset. -

The RP circles I use to run with have fizzled and all but dies, unfortunately. It is out there, but finding it may be difficulty.

Shield/Elec is a fun build. If you get on a team that can throw a little +def at you in the early stages of your career it makes it even better.

Victory has it's own emote.
We are currently tied up in legal red tape trying to sue for copyright infringement, but hope to be the only server with /em victory next year.
We also have the highest cowgirl to player ratio, as well as the highest pie to player ratio. -
I hear that if you use the server transfer to move from Victory to Freedom a dev will come to your house and forcibly take the E, I, and P key off your keyboard.
Then they kick you and take your lunch money. True story.. -
