Yeah, I get that you want the big metal suit kind of looming over him. Personally I think it works best when he is right in front of it or, as I said, when it's a bit off center. Of course others may have different feelings...
As for nice lines... Well, feel free to take your pickClick the banner for my DA page, go to gallery and then go to the black and white section! I believe I have (or could get) permission from any of the artists to have the pieces colored. A couple have already been so but I never mind seeing different takes
Anyone's free to tackle my characters or the lines as far as I am concerned.
So by all means, have a go at whatever strikes your fancy! -
Looks really good Henri! Nice job.
In the future I'd suggest, on an image like this, that you consider putting the second character a bit more off center than the first. I think it tends to give a more dynamic and realistic look...
But very cool. -
Quote:Written correctly, would they have any effect on their team building at all, though? Since they're SHIELD agents, chances are they'll view the rest of the team as an undisciplined band of freaks, while the others look at them as Fury's stooges. If Cap, Tony, and Thor have enough of hard time respecting and being willing to follow each other, I think it'd ring false if they looked to Black Widow and Hawkeye and fall in line just because they're doing the same.
Well I could see it being something along the lines off: The "powered" guys get their butts handed to them by whatever/whoever... But then Widow and Hawkeye move in and through teamwork manage to either defeat, beat back or at least save the others from whatever... Now you wouldn't want an entirely obvious AHA! moment from the rest of the team, but such could be the basis of the non powers kind of showing the way...
Not saying that's the route I would take, just that I see it being possible. -
Perspnally I'd like to see more of the Breen. Seems to me they have been said to be a power, they've a bit of history, yet they are still mysterious enough so that you could take them anywhere you wanted storyline wise...

Quote:I didn't like that "killing faith in the doctor" episode. Largely because that isn't what faith is. Amy TRUSTS the doctor because he does always pull through. She doesn't have faith. It's only faith when you have no evidence or have evidence to the contrary... like I have faith that humans won't destroy the world... Everything points to the opposite, but I still have faith and believe we wont kill ourselves.
This just bothered me because it's an abuse of the language that people get away with and it does severe damage to peoples' understanding of each other.
I call phooey.
You have evidence that that humanity won't destroy itself - It never has before and there are people talking, planning, etc ways not to.
This is much the same evidence Amy had. The doctor has always come through for her, at least in the end... He's also always trying to, always making plans to.
In fact, I would say Amy's belief is closer to faith than yours. Humanity is not consistantly putting you in more and more danger with every trip you take. The Doctor has lost companions before, humanity has never destroyed the earth before. Based on the evidence of past results, humanity is a lot less likely to destroy the earth than the doctor is to have a companion killed.
Further, I would argue both can be said to be faith. Yes, there is prior anecdotal evidence of both of them (Doctor saving Amy, humanity not destroying the world) but there is no scientific proof or even evidence that these habits will continue into the future... So extrapolating past evidence towards an infinite future with no scientific reason to do so? That is an act of faith...
On the other hand, I believe the sun will rise tomorrow. I have the evidence of all the other days, plus scientific evidence to back up it's continued happened. It would be a questionable choice of words to say I had faith the sun would rise tomorrow... Well, unless I didn't know about science and such. For those wacky individuals who still believe in pantheons of gods and giants carrying the sun or what not, I guess it could still be faith to them, -
It means the Mods are whimsical and only target people randomly for punishment.

Quote:You know what? No, I take it back. I'd complain that a moderator in this game told you to post pictures of your main character without any clothes on, and that you feel sexually harassed.
BTW, Foo, I apologize for getting your thread in trouble.
And I've been traumatized by the nekkid Deebs... And since CoH is directly to blame for that, I smell Class Action Lawsuit! -
For me it was just too much... Not too creepy, but rather too much thrown into one episode. To me, proper horror is a build up of creepiness, a slow escalation which allows the people in the story, and the viewer, to not just cut and run, but rather think they can handle it. This show, imo, threw just way too much in way too fast. Heck, it all seemed to happen within the first couple of days of their moving in. I just do not think there is a sustainability factor, nor really an escallation factor.
All in all, I may watch the second episode but really I don't see me getting all that involved in this. -
Hey, at least you got some decent customer service - They told you what they felt the problem was. All I got was a vague threat by some nameless corporate stooge. They couldn't even be bothered to say if my sig did or did not violate the rule, just kind of "Make sure it is or we shall kill your children and violate your puppies..." or words to that effect, it may not be a direct quote. -
-
The mods have more important things to enforce... Such as some undefined problem with my sig.
You don't really expect them to uphold the integrity of the game while my sig image may (may!) be a few pixels to big, do you??? -
Quote:Of course you can do it for free, I would never charde....Hee. Well, I'm not sure what restrictions F2P people have on posting in the forums but I'll stick around if I can do it for free
Ooo, post you mean. Oh. Never mind.... I think if you were a paying customer you get to keep use of the boards. I think. -
Quote:I'm doing pretty good! Life straightened out and I'm looking back to MMOs. Thought I'd spend a couple months back home before I go venturing off to SWTOR, and then I find out we've gone F2P literally days ago and was... "Wha?"
Straightened out life is good. Leaving us again for SWTOR is NOT!
Don't make me spank you! You know I'd enjoy it WAY too much! -
