Can someone make a Logo for my SG?

With my return to City of Heroes, I am going to attempt to revive the Tokusatsu Hero Force. I was wondering if someone would be willing to make a heading logo for the website: http://tokusatsuheroforce.webs.com/

I'd like it to be something similar to the logos bellow, except in English....although if you could get it in Japanese with English translation on the bottom like the titles do, I will love you forever.

I can give it a shot... I am always up to mess around in Photoshop for no apparent reason.

Thanks. ^_^ I'm very thankful.

The Japanese part is definitely NOT my forte, but I will mess around with some fonts, and symbols for the background and see what I can come up with. I don't promise any kinda genius or anything.

Oh, and BTW, what symbol do you use for the SG Icon in-game... it might serve to give some inspiration... or not. *shrug*

And we don't really have any set color scheme because of the genre the SG represents, Tokusatsu. It's shows like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Power Rangers and even Sailor Moon. XD

Yeah, I figured the color scheme wouldn't be of much use considering the more rainbow-like elements of the genre.

Well, I made one version of this that I was not pleased with at ALL. As such, I didn't even put it up here (let me know if you want to see it, but trust me it is SO not as good as the above).
Now the next one I made I really like. Though, I gotta say, neither really quite gets the right feel without any of the Japanese characters on them. Hopefully you like this one.
Also, let me know if you want a larger image, or even the 'raw' PSD file before I merged layers and PNG-erized it.

I found this:
特撮

It's Tokusatsu in Japanese. Is it possible to replace the word Tokusatsu with what I found in the logo? It might give it that Japanese feel that the one you shared lacked.

Besides that, I have no issue with the logo and I like it a lot. ^_^

Okay, well, figured I could take a small stabby-poke at this.

ASSASSIN STRIKE!

Here's a background using the Tokusatsu characters.

Yeah. That's a LOT of Tokusatsus. Over 800 layers worth.

Then, used in conjuction with Thirty-Seven's logo.

Thirty-Seven, if you want a copy of the PSD file, let me know and I'll put it up for you.

I integrated the characters into the logo...

Oh, and Hyperstrike? The background is a touch busy, but very nifty looking. I will leave it up to the SG Leader if he wants to use that portion or not.

Honestly, even as busy as the background is I think it works really well with the logo.

The logo is so bold that the business of the background kind of fades, it mostly just ends up as a vague pattern, while your eyes are mostly drawn to the large red lettering.

Additionally, I can always make the background more transparent too.

Here it is, at 25% transparency both with and without the black(ish) background.

I could probably yank some of the background to "round" or edge it out more (and follow the lines of the main logo. That's gonna be a bit more work though. 800 fricking layers to go thru!

Though I could "cheat" and just merge the layers and wipe off the ones I don't want...

Hmmm.

Note, the chop-out of all the black area isn't complete on these two. Sorry. They're just for basic ideas of what it could look like.

I can be neater! I swear!

Okay, bugged me enough that I went back and cut out some of the remainder and added a drop shadow.

Makes it rise off the screen a bit more.

I like all those versions, Hyper... esp with the drop shadow. We will have to see what the requestor likes best.

First! I like Thirty-Seven's best (the one without the background) for the Heading and Logo for the website.

Hoever, I like the backdrop itself and will be using that for the background of the website. ^_^

Now, here's the fun part.

I also like the logo with the backdrop, however I got a special request for that.

Using multiples of the backdrop and putting the logo dead center, I believe that Hyperstrike will be able to make an official Tokusatsu Hero Force Wallpaper. ^_^

I'd like it to be available in four resolutions:
800 x 600
1024 x 768
1152 x 864
1280 x 768

Hmmm....

One comment about Wallpapers... I find that the best wallpapers have the main focus of the image off to one side, and not dead center. That way, the user has more flexibility with where he places icons, and most folks start along the left and work their way toward the center.

Also, glad you like the look, Lone Hero! I am rather proud of the finished product myself.

I would like to note you are kinda of asking for a good bit of work from people, matbe if you offered up financial compensation you might get better results, just a thought

I suppose that is true... but some folks, like me, enjoy a little side-project to muck about in a program I enjoy working with now and again. And while I wouldn't turn down cash... I also don't expect it and won't do anything with any requests I don't feel like honoring. As such, you won't see me jumping to create those backgrounds as the task is decidedly less artistic and more work-oriented than I care for.

I also created two more images of the logo in different sizes:

(Also, please do host these images elsewhere if you use them... I will likely move the images and/or delete them from my Photobucket account, and don't want you to have broken links all over creation.)

I'm not allowed to openly offer compensation on the forums, I tried that on one thread and a mod took it down and warned me. I don't have any real income at the moment either, currently my grandma is paying my subscription for a few months until I find a new job, got fired from my old one because I accidentally dropped a heavy box of goods on my boss's foot. >_> I warned him that I couldn't lift anything heavy cause of my bad shoulder but he didn't listen.

I'm uploading them all to the SG's website's photo album for later use Thirty-Seven. ^_^

If you have anyone on Virtue who'd like to join I'll be happy to accept them Thirty-Seven, same goes out to Hyper as well. You both seem like awesome people.

Okay, trying to build the backgrounds at different resolutions is a bit of a pain.

So here's what I did. I built TWO of them. One black, one transparent, at 1920x1200.

Basically anyone who wants to use the background is perfectly welcome to snag a copy and crop it down to usable size.

As with Thirty-Seven, I recommend that you snag copies for yourself and host it yourself as I'm not going to host the files forever.

I will, don't worry. ^_^

Awww, I am touched you gave me credit in your Sig... I made that in MSPaint at work in only a few minutes! As far as I am concerned, Henri should get top billing for that one, and me... prolly not even an afterthought.

This counts as a lot of work? I know people here are obsessed with commissions, and no disrespect to Thirty-Seven, but this isn't a painstaking week long commission.

Anyway loving the logo, really captured the style.

I suppose not, but, then again, I am no artist. I dabble... and I only spend time dabbling when I am having fun with something... the more restrictions, and the more things I have to do with a project, the less fun it becomes. But that's just me.

Also, thanks for the compliment.
