Seems like the villain is the Lizard and the Cops...
I think this looks good. I try to take each movie (or series of movies) on their own and view/enjoy them seperate from other continuities so I've no hang ups in that regard. My only issue at all is the suit... Just doesn't look like something a teenager secretly makes himself as their first costume. Then again, if they explain how it is he made such a really well done suit (in terms or make, if not look) then *shrug* -
The written word is not a media nor are those who create it fans...
-
I just couldn't see Chuck come back as a series... But I would love a reunion movie five years from now or something.
-
Hahaha! Very cool!! And quite the story the art tells!
As for the knotwork - it is a pain in the buttocks... But I actually think you did a rather good job at it! -
It is indeed a regular weekly thing. Every monday is seems they have a different story arc or two where each issue is priced at 99cents, I think usually 20 or so comics total.

The debate of what is and is not art will go on forever. *shrug* Is it art just because a pencil was used? Or is it more about the intent behind the creation? If someone using Poser or whatever program isn't an artist because they are just manipulating content, does that mean that a movie director cannot be considered an artist as that is all they do?
All in all, I think you will find as many definitions and places to draw the line (ha!) as there are people... And even for those people, the definitions will likely blur and change with time, depending on instance, and the like.
All in all, for me it boils down to this being some cool stuff to look at... And I could care less about definitions and labels. -
He forgot to tell her she is beautiful... 'cause she is! She should smite him for that oversight!!

Cami-Cards - Collect them all!!
And by collect I mean... oh, never mind! -
Ideally yes, Cae should indeed have a very feline inspired face. A big part of the problem is I have so many arts of him where he doesn't have that kind of face because early on I was not very insistant upon it for a variety of reasons... *shruG* Even when I have tried to get specific, there are so many things that just seem tough to get done consistantly correct, and I have had more than a couple artists reluctant to tackle him to begin with, that I have been very lax on him regardless...

AWESOME!!
I totally love it! And of course it is recognizable, you goof!! It totally kicks butt!!
Really, very cool and I think the piece fits him perfectly. Thank you! -
Quote:Thor is a god... I am willing to accept that a god can speak whatever language they wish without accent.I don't know too much about Thor, the comic book character, but one would think that he ought to be speaking some kind of "ancient Norse/Germanic" dialect. Even if he knew modern English he'd likely speak it with a heavy accent the way a non-native speaker would. I suppose the comic book just glossed over that detail the same way Star Trek pretty let every alien automatically speak perfect English.
As for Trek, I do find the universal translator much harder to accept... But since I do not want to watch a show about how difficult it is to learn new languages, I'm willing to give it a pass. -
Dunno about this... They'll have to do some sound work or I won't be able to understand a thing they're saying!

Quote:If some cosmic force were to wipe out every scientist, doctor, and engineer on the planet...
Actually, unless this cosmic force also wiped out books, instruction manuals, the internet and such... Well, I don't think it would take the world all that long to get back up to speed.
Oh sure, 20 years down the road we may not be as technologically advanced as we would have been, but I am pretty sure we'd probably be back at par to where we were. -
Eh... Often the most logical thing to do would be to find a hole in the ground and pull it in after you. The smartest decisions are often the most boring.

Eeeeek! Glad I didn't keep sharing my thoughts!!
(ya, I'm a perv. I should be spanked.)
Quote:I didn't get much but my best friend bought me the first two Dexter books. He knew I loved the show and wanted to read the books for comparison. I'm surprised how much of the first book they stuck to. I mean there are some discrepancies but not out and out changes yet... I am a little over half way through it ATM. Funny thing is now that I've watched the show I keep hearing the entire book in Michael C. Hall's voice.
Not to take sides or anything but... #8? Well Kirk sang "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" with McCoy.... That is far worse. -
Quote:Well it looks like the younger version we sometimes see in the arts... Besides, reads to me as if she just can of grabbed him unawaresLOL! I wonder how the young lady talked ancient, grim, cold-warrior Comrade Hero into a fun day at the carnival? Super art!
Be Well!

Quote:Several times in the classic series the Doctor has been show to be able to survive space without to many ill effects, most notably in Four to Doomsday, where the 5th Doctor went from a spaceship to the TARDIS with only a helmet on.
So, to answer your question, at least since 1981.
When the TARDIS has been nearby I can accept the whole extending life support outside the door threory, just didn't realize the doctor could survive the vacuum of space unaided... good to know. -
Didn't really like at all. Oh, the part with the doctor showing them around the place was amusing as heck but the rest of it... Meh.
For me it just started off bad with the whole falling through space with no ill effects thing and never really recovered. I don't need hard scifi in my Doctor Who at all, but since when can he survive in space??
Still, was nice to visit with the doctor again, even if it wasn't that good a bisit. (Was fun, just not good... odd.) -
So many great artists I have worked with... I would reccomend most of them
But I would suggest someone look through my dA gallery (linked below) and find the arts in a style they like and look further into that artist themselves as everyone likes different styles and such.
Still, as this is kind of a recomendation thread, I will toss out a few I continually go back to for more:

Art by Dingodile24
This art based on the cover of X-Men #109 by leinil yu and rags morales... I had Dingodile capture the flavor of it but with Caemgen, Blue Boltage and various friends who have been kind enough to allow me to borrow their characters this year
Unfortunately the bottom left didn't come out as well as I'd have hoped, but I think the rest came out totally brillaintly!
Anyway, just using this bit of art to wish you all a Merry Christman, Seasons Greetings or Bah Humbug! Whichever may be your particular choice -
It bugs me the phrases they use... The Legend Ends, Conclusion to the Dark Knight Saga or whatever... To me it comes off a bit pompous, as if these are the be all and end all of all Batman movies.
Besides that, I'm also worried about Catwoman. Her whispers to Wayne seem as if she is part of the greater conspiracy and I just never viewed her like that... More the loner, one perhaps out for herself but not out to take down society as we know it or anything. *shrug*
