Oh SNAP! C "teh Judge" R just got dissed by THE CAMI!!
-
*groan*
I TOLD YOU, do NOT make that a thing!! -
Don't listen to CR... they are all the awesome
-
Cool art! And I must agree with your review... About the only change I would make is go from "Real Bargain" to "Way too cheap." That girl seriously needs to charge more.
CR - I never noticed her saying she colored others lines but then again I wasn't looking.... And I would definitely love to see the result of a collab between the two of you! -
I don't know if I would go so far as funny but it was amusing... Worth looking at.
-
Well we've had Young Caemgen http://fav.me/d2o28kf and plushie Caemgen http://fav.me/d3gdyv0 so I guess it is time for baby Caemgen! :P
-
lol, no the crop is fine... I just wasn't expecting that :P But yeap, can see it now
He must have given the nurses a terrible fright when he came out! -
Browsing women superheroes via the Marvel Universe wiki I could only find 5 I thought could really carry a solo movie.
Dazzler - not a movie I am dying to see but I think she has an interesting enough, yet simple enough, storyline that it could be pulled off.
Firestar - again, a self contained story very easily told here.
Hellcat - ok, this could suffer by some comparing her o cat woman and that flop but I think she is different enough and the character open enough that they could o something unique...
Jessica Jones - tell the Alias storyline and I would definitely go see this. For my money this is a far far better idea than Misty Knight and Colleen Wing. Enough superhero story to snag those people and enough not to not turn others off... Get Stana Katic from Castle and I'm waiting in line for this
Valkyrie - mainly I needed a fifth but I think she would be a much more interesting choice than Sif.
So, who is on your list of what could work or should be made? -
I loved this when I saw it!
Though was a bit surprised it was still in your system... But I guess some scenes you just NEED to see.
And Amerikatt versus Crab Spider totally steals the show. That is just an adorable addition. -
Sif - Eh, nope. Don't see there being enough of a hook to draw non-comic fans.
Monica Rambeau - Naw. I think a bigger name character would be needed... definitely a bigger name than one who really was most famous using someone elses.
White Tiger - Having a female hispanic character would be interesting... but I also see some backlash on why she's the White Tiger instead of "Hispanic Tiger". Ok, not serious picketing or anything, but I see enough snide derision to not have it be ideal.
Firestar - I see this as a possibility. She has some name recognition (She was in Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, she's shown up in comics a decent amount of times) and her powers don't take too much to explain.
Dazzler - I kind of think this may be the most possible. No flight which would help keep special effects budget down, could also try to hook people with some good music.
Spider-Girl - I think this would suffer from the "Just give us the real thing" sentiment of many who aren't comic fans generally. Who cares about Spider-Girl when they want Spider-Man? (Not my sentiment, just saying general public...)
Misty Knight and Colleen Wing - I could sort of see this... But only as a general "Heroes for Hire" type movie. You throw Power Man and Iron First into this movie and you have something for everyone.
She-Hulk - Same sentiments as with Spider-Girl
The Wasp - Eh, I really don't think this is an ideal choice. I think as an animated picture it could work, but I think as a live action people would just get sick of the tiny woman flying around? *shrug*
Carol Dancer / Captain Marvel - As others have talked about, if she was slowly introduced and people got to know her a bit, I could see this working... But just shooting it as a totally solo picture without the groundwork before hand? Eh, I dunno. -
Naw, this section just pretty much died
Besides, I told him on DA.... -
Quote:Did a quick Google check: Superherostuff.com seems to have a lot of lesser known heroes t-shirt (I found stuff for Nightwing, Martian Manhunter and Hawkman), but I have never dealt with them so I have no idea of the quality of their wares nor what would be the cost of delivery to the UK (US-based company).
I've used this site on several occasions and always been happy with the stuff. -
Well, having just recently started getting back into reading comics, I will say I'm loving reading them on my iPad through the Comixology app. I like the panel by panel display as well as being able to resize particular panels and such...
Another benefit is the 99cent sales they have a couple of times a week. I love being able to read big clumps of stories at once as opposed to having to wait for a new installment each month. Sure, I'm behind on all the current events but *shrug*
I also appreciate not having to store all those comics around the house. But that could just be me...
As for specifically where to start... I'll leave that up to others more fully immersed into all the goings ons and such that I am only starting to catch up with. Personally though, I suggest Marvel over DC. (And now let that battle begin! ha!) -
Heh, I always just find the "publicity stunt" complaint amusing. It's a business, of course it is a publicity stunt. Pretty much everything they do is a publicity stunt. Heck, writing good stories or having good art is a publicity stunt. They will do whatever they think best to sell books and make money... It is what a business does.
Would the world be a perfect place is businesses were all about the integrity of their art (or craft or whatever their product was) and not concerned about the bottom line? Yeah, sure... And it would be great if my farts smelled like roses. Still, ain't going to happen.
*shrug* I just never "buy into" the complaints or publicity stunt or selling out or such because... Well yeah. Obviously.
ANYWAY, as to who it will be...
My guess is they will stay away from villains for this "big announcement" outing as it may rub some advocates the wrong way... Even if just cause advocates like to make noise and have their own publicity stunts so denouncing DC for saying homosexuality is villainous would get them a lot of play.
My guess? Blue Devil. Once had his own book so they can claim he is prominent but yet fringe enough that I don't see any outrage over it being him. -
OMG! It is that time again!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! -
Hmmm, Terminators sent back to stop Banner from ever even becoming a scientist, Stark from ever being born and Thor... Well, ok that one could be tricky.
But then again, Terminators are really crappy at fulfilling such missions so I have to go with the Avengers due to Terminator incompetance if nothing else... -
Quote:I don't think he would have made anything from public appearances exvept his normal soldier wages.Odd thought:
How much would Cap have earned in 1944/5 from public appearances and merch? Mostly he would have donated it, but if he stuck them into Liberty Bonds that are as yet unclaimed and have compound interest...
...could he buy a reasonable chunk of Stark Enterprises with that? Or at least a Cap-Cycle and some gadgets? -
Quote:Why a parachute?
He's a soldier. His instincts would be to grab a chute before jumping out of a perfectly good airplane.
He also knows he can't fly.
This.
Plus factor in that he's never used his shield to survive such a fall before and it's probably nothing you want to test unless you have to. -
Tony Stark: "But... But you're dead..."
Agent Coulson: "Shield has a great medical plan."
At least that's how I envision the explanation going if he is brought back. -
Nice...
And remember, sharing is fundamental!
(Or is that reading...?) -
